Kanye West has laughed off Amy Winehouse’s recent scathing comments about him – insisting he must have “really made it” if the troubled singer hates him.

Winehouse lashed out at the Stronger hitmaker during her set at British music festival Glastonbury on Saturday, telling the crowd she was pleased to be opening for rapper Jay-Z and not a “c**t like Kanye West!”

But West has refused to take the insult personally – dismissing Winehouse’s rant in a post on his website.

He writes, “This just in… Amy Winehouse hates me!!! Now I’ve really made it!!! LOL (laugh out loud)!!!!”

Dr. Jan Adams, author, lecturer, television personality and the plastic surgeon who reportedly operated on rapper Kanye West’s mother before she died last year, was arrested and booked into Solano County Jail early this morning on suspicion of drunken driving.

According to the California Hiighway Patrol, several calls from other drivers came in around 2:41 a.m. reporting a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 680 near Gold Hill Road.

CHP officers responded to the area and some 10 miles further south, spotted Adams’ 2004 gray Jaguar XJ8 attempting to enter southbound I-680 by driving the wrong way on the Lake Herman Road offramp.

Officers stopped the vehicle and after moving to a safer location, conducted a field sobriety test on Adams. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, driving the wrong way and driving on a suspended license.

The Beverly Hills doctor’s license was suspended due to a prior DUI conviction from 2006. In that case, Adams was found guilty of driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or greater. He also pleaded no contest in 2003 to driving under the influence, according to court records.

Adams is scheduled for arraignment in Solano County Superior Court Monday.

According to previous reports by the Associated Press, Adams had two malpractice lawsuits filed against him that were settled in 2001 with payouts of $217,337 and $250,000.

Last year, Adams made headlines after walking off the Larry King Live show, saying he didn’t want to answer questions regarding the death of Donda West, mother of rapper Kanye West. Donda West died at Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Marina del Rey after she stopped breathing at her home. Adams had performed surgery on her the day before.

In January, Adams returned to the Larry King program saying he wanted to defend himself and claiming his business had almost been ruined.

He rose to fame with television programs such as Cosmetic Surgery Live, a British television program and Plastic Surgery Before & After, on the Discovery Health Channel. He is the author of “Everything Women of Color Should Know About Cosmetic Surgery” and has also appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Kanye West has been ordered to pay over $600,000 to settle the mortgage on his late mother’s home.

Dr. Donda West died in November from complications following a cosmetic surgery procedure, and the Stronger hitmaker has since been handed control of her estate.

But now West, who inherited $250,000 of assets from his mother, has also been handed a court order asking him to pay off her debts – which have been incurred by delayed payments on the late 58-year-old’s Illinois condo.

West will have to settle the unpaid fees as well as interest payments, which have been mounting since his mother’s sudden death.

Kanye West has picked up two Black Entertainment TV (BET) awards.

West won best male hip-hop artist and best collaboration for his song Good Life, with T-Pain.

Best group went to UGK, who also picked up video of the year for their song International Player’s Anthem (I Choose You) featuring Outkast.

Other winners at the Los Angeles ceremony included Missy Elliott for best female hip-hop artist, with Alicia Keys and Chris Brown winning the respective R&B categories.

Lil Wayne won the best new rap artist award voted by viewers and claimed he was “blessed” to be in the presence of fellow rapper T-Pain.

Al Green was handed a lifetime achievement award and Quincy Jones was awarded the humanitarian award.

Hip hop artist Sean Diddy Combs also urged attendees at the ceremony to vote for Democrat candidate Barack Obama in the upcoming presidential election.

“If we all register and vote, we will have the first black president in the history of America,” he said.

Kanye West took to the stage for his Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival amid boos from tired fans early on Sunday after leaving them waiting for almost two hours.

The rapper switched his 8:15pm start time on Saturday to 2:45am on Sunday, becoming the first major act to start a mainstream festival show so late.

But his fans grew unruly when West kept them waiting until 4.30am local time in Tennessee.

The fans had been forced to sit through a midnight torrential downpour to get to West’s early morning set. According to Billboard.com, the rapper eventually took the stage one hour and 45 minutes late.

The crowd had booed for almost an hour before his appearance and they weren’t about to stop when he appeared.

One fan says, “He had to work really hard to win everyone over.”

Kanye West is reportedly dating rapper/actor Nick Cannon’s former fiancee Selita Ebanks.

The Stronger hitmaker broke off his engagement with his ex Alexis Phifer in April, after six years together.

And, according to Life & Style magazine, he has already moved on to Victoria Secret lingerie model Ebanks.

The publication claims the couple was seen dining out together in New York last week.

A source says, “(They) didn’t look like a couple getting to know each other – they looked like they were already dating. They were openly affectionate at the dinner table, cuddling, kissing and whispering in each other’s ears.”

The pair then headed on to Tenjune club, where they later left together in the same car.

Ebanks and Cannon split in 2007 after a whirlwind romance. Cannon is now married to R&B star Mariah Carey.

Rap star Kanye West and his record label are being sued by the daughter of a jazz musician, who claims he used samples of her late father’s music without permission.

Kathleen Firrantello says that West, in his track Gone, used a sample of Joe Farrell’s 1974 song Upon This Rock, reports the BBC.

Miss Firrantello, who is also suing rappers Method Man, Redman and Common for using samples from the same song, is seeking damages of at least $1 million.

None of the rappers or representatives from their record companies were available for comment.

The lawsuit was filed in New York and claims Method Man and Redman used a sample from Farrell’s song in their duet Run 4 Cover.

It adds that Common also used a sample in his song Chi City.

Firrantello is now demanding that no more copies of the songs be produced, sold or performed.
