Justin Timberlake has launched his own record label, Tennman Records .

The 26-year-old will be the chairman as well as the CEO of his Los Angeles-based label.

The venture is a joint deal with Interscope Records, an American record label, owned by Universal Music Group, and which operates as one third of UMG’s Interscope-Geffen-A&M label group.

Although the ‘SexyBack’ singer has not shed much light on his new venture, he insisted that he is all set to introduce it worldwide.

“We are all excited about the talent we have to offer already on our roster and I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries,” said Timberlake.

Chairman of Interscope Records, Jimmy Iovine insisted that the company is very excited to start something like this with the talented singer.

“Whenever you have the opportunity to get into business with someone as gifted as Justin Timberlake, you take it. We are thrilled to have his label as part of Interscope,” Iovine said.

The new record label is due to announce its first contract officially in the next few weeks.

The two, who were first linked at a Golden Globe afterparty in January, recently spent several days together in the U.K., where Timberlake was touring. (They holed up in Manchester’s five-star Lowry Hotel and took in a soccer match.)

And now “Justin’s in love,” a source close to the singer says. “She’s the coolest chick ever. He wants to be with her all the time. He’s ready to be serious.”

Over the last few months, Timberlake, 26, and Biel, 25, have also been spotted snowboarding with pals at the Sundance Film Festival, and Biel recently attended a barbeque at Timberlake’s L.A. home.

In the wee hours of May 15, Timberlake, 26, fresh from his show that night at MEN Arena, settled in to the cozy bar of the posh Lowry Hotel in Manchester for a makeout session with Biel, 25.

“They were kissing and holding hands,” an eyewitness says of the duo, who later retreated to the singer’s presidential suite.

The pair, who have had a flirtation ever since he split from Cameron Diaz in December, were just as cozy during a private dinner at the hotel three days earlier. “They held hands,” says a witness.

Still, sources say neither wants to get serious.

“Jessica has said there is nothing romantic,” a Biel source says.

Justin Timberlake has admitted he would like to quit the limelight and go back to his country roots.

The boy from Tennessee has claimed he is keen to write country music and hip hop, which could prove to be a bizarre mix of styles.

According to the Sun, Justin, 26, told a US interviewer: “I’ve had a good share of the spotlight. I don’t feel like I need too much of it right now.

“I want to write country music, because that’s where I grew up - Tennessee. Soul music… I want to be involved in hip hop.”

He added: “Sometimes I feel the only way to really express all those different sides, even just for myself, is through different people.

“To write for myself, I definitely have to recharge my battery.”

Justin Timberlake was so concerned about Britney Spears, who entered rehab in February, that he reached out to her, he has revealed.

“I called her because I worried about her,” Timberlake, 26, said recently at a press day for his new movie Shrek The Third.

But Spears, who checked out of Malibu’s Promises treatment center in March after nearly a month, is on the right track, Timberlake said.

“She’s a great woman. I’m rooting for her,” he said. “[It] seems like she’s getting everything under control now.”

Timberlake, who in January split with Cameron Diaz (his costar in Shrek, who also attended the press day), said being single has its ups and downs.

“The advantages are that you don’t get in as many arguments, and the disadvantage is that you’re talking to yourself,” he said.

But he isn’t exactly lonely. Timberlake spent time with Jessica Biel, 25, at a barbecue party at his L.A. house last week, PEOPLE reports in its new issue.

Things between the pair got “hot and heavy,” says a source in the singer’s circle.

This isn’t the first time Timberlake and Biel have been spotted together: In January they went snowboarding with a group of friends in Park City, Utah, and hung out backstage at one of Timberlake’s concerts in San Diego.

And at Prince’s Golden Globes party that month, Timberlake and Diaz had a spat after Diaz saw Timberlake chatting with Biel.

As for Biel, when it comes to Timberlake, a source tells PEOPLE the actress is “crazy about him.”
