Joss Stone reportedly headbutted her brother at a recent family baptism.

The star, 21, was to be godmother to her 29-year-old half-brother Daniel Skillin’s son Louis at a ceremony in Somerset, England.
But Stone allegedly upset guests by arriving 30 minutes late – and is then said to have attacked Skillin when he confronted her over her behavior.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, “She was absolutely furious and had a full-blown argument. They were screaming at each other and the next thing, Joss headbutted him.”

Mark Ronson has hinted he once turned down a sexual proposition from British soul singer Joss Stone.

The acclaimed DJ and hitmaker was asked in a recent interview if he had ever had sex with any of the female artists he had worked with.

Ronson, who has produced for Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen, told the reporter, “I’m not the sort of producer that shags every artist he works with. I’ve had enough offers, but I’m very picky.”

The star went on to describe the artist who offered him her body: “I’ve said no to a very famous, white, bland and very boring English soul chick, whom shall remain unnamed.”

When pushed on the topic by the journalist, who namechecked singer Joss Stone, Ronson allegedly gave the game away by smiling and winking.

It is not the first time Ronson has embarrassed the singer in the press – last year he slammed her for writing a 7,000 word ‘thank you’ list on the sleeve of her debut LP Introducing Joss Stone, stating she had a “really annoying attitude”.

Joss Stone is to launch a legal battle in a bid to leave her record label EMI.

The singer has hired a legal team to help free her of her current three-album deal with the troubled music company.

The British-based label was bought out last year by capital group Terra Firma and has since seen the exit of a host of high-profile artists including Radiohead, the Rolling Stones and Paul MCCartney.

Stone is the latest star to voice displeasure at the stricken firm, insisting her decision to leave is based on EMI’s insistence on maintaining creative control over her future projects.

She says, “I’m not happy at all with EMI. I’ve spoken to my lawyers and am seeing what my options are. The industry is in a state and EMI are in a state, so I would rather work on other things.”

The unlucky in love Spoiled singer insists she would abandon her career for a “solid relationship” following the heartbreak she suffered when her stormy romance with Beau Dozier, son of Motown producer Lamont Dozier, ended.

The 20-year-old’s relationship with the singer/songwriter, who she met when she was just 16, ended after 18 months – and although she claimed they were in love at the time, she now admits the romance was just “infatuation”.

She says, “You know what? I’d give up fame tomorrow for a solid relationship. Looking back now, I wonder if it really was love between Beau and me. I think it must have been deep infatuation based on lust.”

British singer Joss Stone has stopped dying her hair after it started falling out. The 20-year-old has become famous for her singing, as well as her ever-changing hair color. She has opted to return to her blonde roots, fearing that she’ll lose her hair for good if she keeps dying it.

She says, “I did all of the colors, and I kind of ran out. My hair’s starting to disintegrate, so I decided that I’ll give it a little rest.”

British singer Joss Stone shocked guests at a heart disease benefit, by singing the praises of cigarettes. The star was one of a number of celebrity guests at a New York Fashion Week bash on Saturday (2FEB08) to promote U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) annual Heart Truth awareness campaign.

When asked what she did to protect her heart, Stone, 20, revealed she smoked hand-rolled cigarettes – which she wrongly claimed are less harmful than pre-packaged ones. She told the New York Daily News, “In England we smoked rolled cigarettes. It’s better to smoke rollies than straights because straights have chemicals that keep them burning. So if you have to really smoke, smoke rollies.”

A 2006 study established hand-rolled cigarettes are actually more likely to cause lung and oesophageal cancer.
