The Jonas Bros won’t be attending the MTV VMAs this year — but that’s not because Russell Brand is hosting again.

The guys were slammed by the British comic for wearing purity rings and remaining virgins in 2008, but they don’t hold it against him. Nick says he wouldn’t mind — too much — if Brand digs on him and his brothers again.

“As far as his comments were concerned, what we said from the beginning was that he seemed to run out of material — but if we’re the butt of his jokes, it’s kind of a compliment in a bizarre way,” he tells the BBC.

Hosting the show, which airs Sept. 13, is “great for him,” Nick adds. “He has form and ultimately he does a great job.

“We hope he has a good time this year,” Nick goes on.

Pink, Taylor Swift and Green Day are expected to perform.

Kevin Jonas will likely say “I do” to Danielle Deleasa this winter, his brother Nick has revealed.

“They have not set a date yet, but I think that it’ll be sometime around the end of the year, beginning of the year — something like that,” he told ABC News Radio on Monday.

Kevin, 21, popped the question to Deleasa, 22, in July at her New Jersey home.

Nick, 16, said he and brother Joe, 19, weren’t surprised.

“Kevin and Danielle were on the beach walking, and Joe was like, ‘Oh, they’re gonna get married,’” he said. “And then, a couple years later, they were engaged and now we’re here.”

Nick said he doesn’t know if he or Joe will serve as best man to Kevin.

“We’ve talked about it a little bit,” he said. “He’s working it all out, but we’ll see what happens. I’m happy for them and we love her, and we’re happy to have her as part of the family.”

Don’t look for Miley Cyrus’s big brother Trace to join a boy band anytime soon.

“I’m not trying to clean my image to make anyone happy,” the pierced and tattooed singer/guitarist for the rock group Metro Station tells Details. “I could have gone the route of the Jonas Bros. Those guys can’t live their lives freely. They have to put out this image that’s totally fake.”

And if the Jonas Bros. don’t like what he says? Tough. Cyrus, 20, says he could take them all in a fight, though he’d back off on his sister’s ex-boyfriend Nick.

“I don’t think any of them would be much trouble,” says Cyrus. “I’d never lay a hand on Nick – I love that kid – but the other two better not get in my way.”

The Jonas Brothers are set to star in a sequel to their hit movie Camp Rock.

The teenage sensations appeared in the Disney musical last year and now film bosses are scheduling Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam to be released in 2010.

Actress Demi Lovato will reappear alongside the band in the new instalment, which sees them arrive at the camp only to find some of their students and instructors have set up in rival complex, Camp Star.

Chloe Bridges, a classical pianist, will debut in the movie, and hip-hop artist Matthew ‘Mdot’ Finley will also cameo in the film.

Oh my goodness, what a gorgeous ring!

When Kevin Jonas asked his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa to marry him early Wednesday morning, she was too stunned to notice the one-of-a-kind diamond ring he designed for her.

“I didn’t see the ring for a while because I couldn’t believe what he just asked me,” Deleasa told People. “I was looking at him, like “Are you serious? When he pulled out that ring, I was like ‘Oh gosh.’ I said something like ‘Oh my God,’ and then I started crying.” But once she wiped away her tears of joy — and said yes over and over again — what she saw before her was a three-carat cushion-cut diamond set in platinum above double shank band with 210 round pave diamonds (pictured here), according to Angela Arabo, Jacob & Co vice president, who worked with Kevin to design the ring.

The star “had done his homework,” Arabo said. “He knew exactly what he wanted.” The two collaborated over the phone and email. “When he got the ring, he called me and said it was the most beautiful ring and it was exactly how he imagined. He was really excited. He couldn’t wait to propose to her.”

Kevin Jonas, 21, proposed to Deleasa, 22, surprising her at her doorstep early on Wednesday morning — flying overnight after a Jonas Brothers concert in Vancouver. Arabo talked to the happy couple Wednesday night and wished them the best. “He was very happy and thrilled. Danielle is very happy and she has the ring on right now.”

No wedding date has been set yet. Right now, Kevin told People, “We’re just ready to celebrate with friends and family and of course all our fans.”

Kevin Jonas surprised his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa by showing up at her doorstep in New Jersey early Wednesday morning and dropping down to his knee to ask her to marry him. Presented with a cushion-cut diamond ring that Jonas designed with Jacob & Co., Deleasa couldn’t believe what was happening.

Then, “She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row,” the oldest of the Jonas Brothers tells People exclusively.

Jonas, 21, and Deleasa, 22, who met in May of 2007 while vacationing with their families in the Bahamas, haven’t set a wedding date yet. “It still feels like a dream,” she tells People.

Overnight Flight
When Deleasa, a former hairdresser, first met Jonas two years ago, she admits, “I didn’t know who the Jonas Brothers were.” It was Kevin who eagerly pursued her after meeting her and then spotting her walking on the beach with a flower in her hair.

Jonas popped the question after arriving in New Jersey on an overnight flight from a concert in Vancouver. “It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world,” he says.

And while the news is bound to break a lot of young girls’ hearts, the Jonas family couldn’t be happier.

“Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage,” parents Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr. say in a statement to People. “Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family’s celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support.”

And younger brothers Joe and Nick said on their Twitter page: “Congrats big brother…..Dani welcome to the family, we can’t wait to have you join us on the road!”
