Jon Gosselin wasn’t pulling out the tissues during estranged wife Kate Gosselin’s tear-filled TLC interview Monday.

During her speech, Kate, 34, reflected on the end of their 10-year marriage, saying: “Whatever happened, it happened so quickly … Something had to give.”

On his Twitter page Tuesday, Jon, 32, suggested she wasn’t entirely honest.

“She claims she ‘didn’t remember’ who called it quits. Hey at least she said ‘didn’t remember’ instead of lieing [sic],” wrote Jon, who has spoken out numerous times that Kate pulled the plug on their marriage by refusing counseling.

He also said that Kate “even slipped last night” by admitting that “we split up a year ago!” (When the fifth season of the Gosselins’ TLC show premiered May 25, Kate said she didn’t know where their relationship was headed.)

Jon — who is now seeking spiritual guidance from high-profile Rabbi Shmuley Boteach — also Twittered that his life is returning to normal in Wernersville, Pa.

“Got up early this morning took Mady and Cara to the bus,” he wrote. “Came home to then hug my other six little morsels.”

The romance has long since died, but for Kate Gosselin, a kernel of the emotion still lives.

“A part of me always will [love Jon],” she says. “It’s hard to to be married to somebody for 10 years and try to say, ‘No, I don’t love them anymore.’ It doesn’t work really well. I love the memories that we have together.”

Sitting down with the Today show’s Natalie Morales for a special aired on TLC Monday night, Gosselin, 34, describes a bleak life after splitting with Jon, with her living in the center of a maelstrom of media attention.

Can’t Turn Life Off
“We can’t turn life off,” she says. “You’re viewing our lives; yes, you can turn it off. I can’t turn life off. In the last nine, 10 months, it’s gotten real crazy, and I can’t seem to get away from it. I just want peace for my kids.”

Responding to Morales’s argument that she could find peace simply by leaving the cameras behind, the onetime nurse said that her life has turned into a Catch-22 situation she can’t seem to escape, and that she has no alternative but to keep pursuing what has become the primary source of income for herself and her eight children.

“At this point, I can’t go back,” she says.

Later, she adds: “I signed up for a reality show, I didn’t sign up to be a tabloid staple. If I said I was done and it was enough, it would just be five more covers of why it is that I’m done, and so I would be living that for a period of time essentially with no income, with no job.”

Hopes for the Show to Go On
Kate says that she hopes she can continue filming either with the kids or on her own TLC show. As for allegations that she’s exploiting her kids and harming them by putting them in the spotlight, Kate was adamant that the critics are wrong.

“Coming from a mom who laid on bed rest from the time I found I was pregnant – from seven weeks pregnant to 30 weeks – and would not put anything in my mouth that would harm them, and fought for every second of their existence, I can tell you there is nothing that would ever force me to put them in harm’s way,” she says.

On Her Own
There’s little support from friends or family, who she says have been either driven away or corrupted by the media’s fascination with the family’s self-destruction. Ultimately, that included Jon, 32, as well.

“Whatever happened, it happened so quickly. I think I was on a plane coming back from somewhere and I remember thinking, ‘We’re not going to recover from this,’ ” she says. “I looked at him and he looked at me, and we were completely different people. I think somewhere down the line his goals changed … and they felt detrimental to me and the kids.”

Choking up, she adds: “I still wake up every day and I think the phone will ring and it’ll be … the old Jon.”

Wishing It Could Be Like Before
But Kate, who calls herself the “forgotten middle child” who now trusts “a very, very small group of people,” says she bears some of the responsibility for alienating her husband, especially when it came to her notoriously controlling manner as a wife and mom.

“I was wrong to treat him that way,” she says.

But the divorce has been hardest, naturally, on the kids. “They all to a degree say I wish mommy and daddy could be here at the same time, and to that I say, I do too,” Kate says.

Don’t count Jon Gosselin out of the picture just yet.

Reports of his saying he’s ready to withdraw from TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 are not only premature – they just aren’t true.

“I never said that,” Jon told People while speaking outside his house on Wednesday. “A fan asked me, ‘Don’t you sometimes wish you could go back to a 9-to-5 job?’ [And my reply was,] ‘Yeah, because this is 24/7 and 9-to-5ers punch in and punch out and you have no responsibilities.’ ”

Pointing to the paparazzi collected outside his family home, Gosselin said, “Here … you have to watch what you say so it doesn’t contradict something else.”

He believes the story was the result of someone having “overheard something that was nothing.”

Clearing up other misinformation, Gosselin said, “And the other one was that the kids didn’t want to film anymore. No, they just didn’t want to film that day.”

That’s easily explained, too. “It’s 96 degrees outside and they just said they wanted to go in the pool. So guess what? They took their clothes off, put their swimsuits on and jumped in the pool … I just looked at my producer and said, ‘What are you going to do?’ ”

As for his literal fashion statement – being photographed in a T-shirt bearing the message, “Lies, Lies” – Gosselin says: “I just thought it was funny, because people can write anything about me … How can you write something about me or say something about me without actually asking me?”

Oh snap!

Maybe Jon can’t talk smack about the hand that feeds, but that doesn’t mean his girlfriend can’t!

Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend Hailey Glassman is slamming TLC, claiming the network forced Jon and Kate to cover up their crumbling marriage.

In an interview Monday with Kate who? E! News, Glassman — the 22-year-old daughter of the surgeon who performed Kate’s 2006 tummy tuck — dubbed TLC “the lying channel.”

She added that the network didn’t allow Jon and Kate “to come out and say their marriage was done a year ago.

She said she can speak freely on the situation because “no network owns what I can and cannot say.”

She added, “People need to realize there’s two sides to every story… TLC, they’re telling something, but the truth is always in that fuzzy area. You can’t touch it, but only the people contracted can see it, but no one can say it.”

Glassman also claimed that Jon is not having a fling with nanny Stephanie Santoro - despite over-night sleepovers.

“Jon has a good heart, she has a child and he felt bad,” she said. “He knows how it feels to have a child and not be able to afford, you know, so he hired her to give her a job.”

As for her future with Jon, Glassman said, “I don’t like to talk in the future. I like to live in the present. As of right now, I want to be happy. I want Jon to be happy. I want every side to be happy.”

Jon Gosselin says police made Kate leave their $1.1 million Pennsylvania home Thursday night after a heated argument.

“She tried to come home yesterday, and I wouldn’t let her in the gate, and I guess she called the police,” Gosselin tells Splash News. “The police came and said it was a civil matter.”

“An officer pulled me aside and I said, ‘This has never happened before and I’m just trying to spend time with my kids and she’s [Kate] gonna have to leave,’” he says.

Jon says Kate “tried to ‘cry it up’ with the cops and it didn’t work and they said, ‘You have to leave.’

“It was a miscommunication. Kate said she was coming home, and I said, ‘Well, it’s my time to spend with the kids,’” Jon goes on. “I don’t come home when she’s with the kids, and vice versa — and that’s how it’s supposed to be.”

What sparked the fight?

Jon says he called babysitter Stephanie Santoro — a 23-year-old single mother and aspiring model who has stayed overnight and partied with Jon — to watch the kids while he was filming Jon & Kate Plus 8.

“I guess she didn’t agree with my babysitting,” Jon says of Kate, adding that it was the first time he’d seen his ex wife for “a long time” (they announced they were separating in June).

When asked why Kate was upset about Santoro (who also works as a “shooter girl” selling shots at local club Legends), Jon says, “I have no idea. I guess ’cause she didn’t have approval.”

Jon says he’ll only approve of Kate’s babysitters “if she’ll approve mine.”

No one was arrested during Thursday’s fight and no citations were issued.

A teary-eyed Kate immediately checked in to a local Days Inn.

Earlier the same day day, a Live! With Regis and Kelly interview aired, during which Kate said her marriage to Jon could never be saved.

“You know, we definitely have different goals at this point,” she said. “A lot has changed, a lot of unexpected things have came up.”

Police were called to Jon and Kate Gosselin’s $1.1 million home in Wernersville, Pa., Thursday after the reality stars got into a heated fight.

Kate arrived at the home (it was reportedly ex Jon’s time to be with the kids) because she did not approve of the babysitter. Photographers on site claimed Kate was “locked out” of her house.

No arrests were made, but she spent some time arguing with Jon at the fence of their home.

Later, she fled in tears to a nearby Days Inn.

Hiding behind dark sunglasses, Kate headed straight to her room. Her nose was red and it appeared that she had been crying.

Earlier in the day, a Live! With Regis and Kelly interview aired, during which Kate said her marriage to Jon could never be saved.

“You know, we definitely have different goals at this point,” she said. “A lot has changed, a lot of unexpected things have came up.”

Jon and Kate Gosselin returned to TLC Monday night, but many of their fans didn’t.

After a month-long hiatus, last night’s back-to-back episodes of Jon & Kate Plus 8 brought in less than half the audience of the show’s previous episode, which earned a record-breaking 10.6 million viewers. (In that episode, which aired on June 22, the couple announced they were separating after 10 years of marriage.)

Last night’s first half hour, which featured Kate and the kids vacationing while Jon supervised their kitchen renovation, drew 3.9 million viewers. The following show, in which Kate went camping with the kids without Jon, was watched by 4.1 million.

Both episodes were also down significantly from the May 25 premiere, which brought in 9.8 million viewers.
