A lot has happened since Jon and Kate Gosselin announced their plans to divorce on their TLC show Jon and Kate Plus 8. What can the family’s fans expect to see when the reality series returns Aug. 3 in the first episode since the Gosselins’ split?

“You’ll see Jon struggle in the kitchen trying to make pizza for his kids,” TLC General Manager and President Eileen O’Neill said at the Television Critics Association panel in Pasadena, Calif., on Thursday. “You’ll see what its like when Kate has to put a tent up for the first time for her kids, who love to camp in their backyard. And she gets a little advice from her daughter who doesn’t think she does it quite as well as dad.”

O’Neill did not indicate, however, whether some of the new people in the Gosselins’ orbit — namely the women Jon has been spotted with, former gossip reporter Kate Major and Hailey Glassman — will be featured on the show.

While Jon recently told People that he’s “single — per se” and, “I don’t want to introduce anyone [I'm dating] to my kids,” he didn’t say whether he’d introduce them to fans of the show.

“As far as new people and places that may be cycling into Jon and Kate’s lives, we’re taking it on a case-by-case basis,” O’Neill told reporters.

“Jon and Kate have never said they were perfect,” O’Neill added. “You’re still going to see two parents that love their kids, but you’ll see them parenting separately.”

Since splitting from wife Kate, being careful with his family’s money doesn’t seem to be a priority for Jon Gosselin. On July 24, Jon was partying it up at the Pink Elephant nightclub in Southampton, N.Y. Days earlier, Jon was spotted purchasing a pair of $950 shoes from NYC boutique Pravda Abbigliamento on Madison Avenue. “He told us to call him if we got in anything else he might be interested in,” store owner Philip Pravda tells Life & Style.

The single life hasn’t only turned Jon into a big spender, it’s made him greedy for more. “Jon is sure Kate’s keeping money from him, more than a million dollars,” an insider close to Jon tells Life & Style. “He thinks some of the money she’s made from her books and tours has been put someplace where he can’t access it.” Jon’s friend confirms, “Jon says he found out Kate had been hiding about $100,000 in cash in the house.”

Rather than confront Kate about it, Jon’s leaving it to his lawyers to fight for him. “It’s turned into an all-out war over money,” the insider says. “Jon says Kate’s books and speaking engagements were based on their children and their relationship, so he rightfully deserves a cut.” Kate disagrees. “As far as she’s concerned, this is money she’s made by herself,” the insider says. “She doesn’t want him to get a cent of it.”

Jill Zarin, who dined with Jon Gosselin in the Hamptons last week, tells Usmagzine.com she feels for the beleaguered reality star.

“He’s got a lot of figuring out to do,” she said Monday at Animal Fair’s 10th Annual Paws For Style in NYC.

But she said the Ed Hardy-loving father of eight – who has been linked to two different girls in two weeks – is not having a mid-life crisis.

“He’s only 32, she told Us. “He can’t be having a mid-life crisis!”

At her July 22 dinner with Gosselin (and Michael Lohan and Star tabloid reporter Kate Major), Zarin said she told Gosselin “a lot. He spoke to me privately, so I’m going to respect that, but I will say that I did give him the third degree. I wanted to know everything about what it was like to raise eight kids. I wanted to know what it was like when he came home. I wanted to know how many diapers he changed. Who wants to take a guess? 12,000! That’s a good item.”

After meeting Gosselin, “I would never have thought he had 8 kids,” she noted. “He was like a young, fun, loving-life kind of guy who happens to have eight kids that he’s got to take care of.”

Asked if she believes he’s been intimate with Major, Zarin replied, “No.” As for 22-year-old Hailey Glassman? “That I don’t know,” she said. “And I don’t care.”

A tabloid reporter who has gotten close to Jon Gosselin has resigned.

“Star Senior Reporter Kate Major resigned this morning, Thursday, July 23, citing a conflict of interest between her reporting duties for the magazine and her relationship with Jon Gosselin,” read a statement on Star’s website.

Major – who dined with Gosselin Saturday at NYC restaurant Accademia di Vino – made headlines Wednesday night after she had dinner in the Hamptons with the 32-year-old father of eight, Michael Lohan and Bravo reality star Jill Zarin.

“I think it’s authentic,” Zarin told Usmagazine.com of Gosselin’s relationship with Major. “I think it’s fast. I think it happened very quickly.”

Gosselin has yet to confirm a romance with Major.

The news comes less than a week after Gosselin admitted he was dating Hailey Glassman, the 22-year-old daughter of the surgeon who performed ex Kate’s tummy tuck.

Life & Style has learned that the newly divorced Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin has retained representation: of the publicity variety!

When asked last night if he’s dating Kate Major instead of his recent companion Hailey Glassman, Jon told Life & Style: “You’ll have to call Rubenstein.”

Rubenstein Communications is a New York-based firm that has also represented David Letterman, Donald Trump, Alex Rodriguez and Christie Brinkley. A call to Rubenstein confirmed that the firm is now representing Jon.

No one was more surprised to hear that Jon Gosselin is dating a new Kate than his girlfriend Hailey Glassman.

“That’s news to me,” Glassman told People when she learned that Kate Major, 26, a former reporter for Star magazine had confirmed that she and the reality star and father of eight are an item.

“I didn’t mean it to happen, it just did,” Major told Star. “I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him.” Major has since resigned from the magazine, according to the Web site.

Just a few days ago, Glassman, 22, was the one gushing about Gosselin, 32. “This is perfect. It just fits,” she told People. According to Glassman, she developed feelings for Gosselin while he was staying at her parents’ house after his split from his wife Kate Gosselin.

Although Glassman knew that Jon and Major were hanging out in the Hamptons together, she didn’t realize the trip may have turned romantic. “I still love Jon and Jon loves me,” a teary Glassman said.

A tabloid reporter who has been photographed twice with Jon Gosselin claims to be dating the 32-year-old father of eight.

“I didn’t mean it to happen, it just did,” Star reporter Kate Major, 26, said Tuesday. “I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him.” (Go here to see a picture of Kate)

Gosselin and Major were first photographed together Saturday at NYC restaurant Accademia di Vino, where an onlooker told Usmagazine.com Major “was flirting shamelessly with Jon.”

On Tuesday, the two dined in the Hamptons with Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael (who is pals with Major) and Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin, whom Jon asked her “for media advice,” says a source.

Gosselin has yet to confirm if he and Major are an item.

Hailey Glassman, 22, also has yet to weigh in on Major’s remarks. Just last week, Gosselin announced that he and Glassman — the daughter of the surgeon who performed ex Kate’s tummy tuck — were dating.
