It looks like Jon Gosselin is unlucky in love once again!

Jon has announced that he and his girlfriend Ellen Ross have decided to go their separate ways, while a source claims it was Ellen’s lack of enthusiasm for being in the spotlight that inevitably led to their split.

“Recently, after much thought and discussion, Ellen and I have decided to end our relationship. It was a mutual decision and we are both happy and remain best friends. We both plan to move forward and focus on our separate lives. We ask that you please respect our privacy during this time.” Jon tweeted.

“Ellen didn’t like the media attention and other things that came with the relationship,” a source close to the couple divulged. “That’s one of the main reasons they broke up.”

Jon Gosselin waved his white flag and departed from the reality television spotlight quite some time ago, and now that his ex-wife Kate‘s show has run its course, he has some sound advice for the former Kate Plus 8 star: get back to a normal lifestyle.

In an interview with RumorFix, Jon says:

“Reality TV is not a career. Get back to a normal life – a simple life.”

Following TLC’s cancelation of her Kate Plus 8, the reality star told PEOPLE she’s “freaking out” about providing for her eight kids.

Jon, who says that he continues to pay child support and sees his kids “a lot,” isn’t worried.

“Things will work out the way they should work out,” he said. “Obviously, there are families out there that have several kids – people work normal jobs, and things work out.”

As for concerns that Kate might not be able to keep her farmhouse in Pennsylvania where she and the children reside, Jon responded: “I don’t have a farm on 24 acres and the kids seem to have a great time at my house.”

Jon, whose divorce from Kate played out on TV in 2009, says he’s given up his reality career and is leading a simple life, working as a computer support engineer.

“I go to work every day and provide for my family,” he said. “I spend time with my kids – spend time on the weekends … and enjoy a normal lifestyle.”

There’s more drama on the Gosselin homefront, but not between Kate and Jon. This time Jon is beefing with his brother Mark, claiming that Mark has been selling information to the media for profit.

Well, it wouldn’t be the first time family has sold out family for a piece of change.

Mark vehemently denies the allegations, telling Star magazine it doesn’t matter because, “Jon doesn’t believe me.”

“We haven’t had much of a conversation besides ‘Hey’ in a few weeks. I’ve lost my best friend due to all this.”

“All my daughter does is ask to see her cousins. I don’t know what to tell her.”

I wonder if he got paid for the Star magazine interview? I just think it’s funny that you went to a tabloid to let the world know you don’t sell stories about your family to tabloids. Just sayin’.

Anyhow, how sad! At least let the kiddies see each other.

That was fast!

Jon Gosselin has been preaching for quite some time that he wanted to quit the public life – for a more regular, normal life. Instead of being paid to appear on TV, he yearned for a 9-5 job. Life & Style reported yesterday that Jon had left the public eye for good – and had taken a regular 9-5 job in marketing.

But – he wasn’t a fan of “normal”, Jon has already handed in his resignation.

RumorFix.com reports that Gosselin has already left the office for good — in part because of the kids. “It involved too much travel for him,” says a source. “[Jon] needed to be near his eight kids, that’s why it didn’t work out.”

Whatever will he do?

Reportedly, even though Jon and his girlfriend Ellen Ross are still going strong, Kate still has no intention on meeting her. I guess she just wants to wait to see if this one will last…hmm?

Despite the fact that Ross is definitely in Kate’s children’s lives, the two women have yet to meet face-to-face, states RadarOnline.com. Kate is reportedly fine with the situation so long as Ross treats the children well.

Jon has reportedly straightened out his life a bit since Ross came into the picture, so maybe Kate is just happy to have an easier situation to deal with now.

Six-year-old Collin and Alexis Gosselin, two of the famous sextuplets of reality stars Kate and Jon Gosselin, were expelled from school in Pennsylvania, according to the New York Post.

The children “fought with their peers, called them nasty names and made fun of other kids,” a source close to the family told the magazine. “The things they are saying are not words they should know.”

Maybe that’s not surprising, given the acrimony that reportedly has existed between the children’s now-divorced parents.

And Collin and Alexis may not be the only members of the famous brood having a hard time. Other young Gosselins have experienced “rage issues” linked to filming of their reality series, the magazine reported.

Last month Jon Gosselin tweeted: “I will not stop fighting to remove my children from television. It is not a child’s job to support themselves, or a lifestyle, they need to be kids,” according to the Kansas City Star.

He may be on to something, experts say.

“Being on reality TV, experiencing their parent’s divorce, being exposed to social criticisms and still being expected to function – it’s a lot to expect,” says Dr. Leah Lagos, a psychotherapist in private practice in New York and New Jersey.

Of course, kids are resilient. “The key is making sure that they are given the coping skills needed to deal with the stressors,” she says.

If they haven’t gotten it already, Lagos says, the Gosselin children might benefit from psychotherapy to help them understand their hostility – and learn ways to cope with it..

Says Lagos, “A six-year-old does not posses innate emotional coping skills.”

John Gosselin posted this open letter on his Twitter just a few minutes ago. In it, he goes on and on about wanting to get his kids off of TV, and how broke he is.

I’m not sure if I believe him, he has seemed like such a douche in the past. Has he turned over a new leaf? Does he really want what’s best for his kids? The impression I got from the letter was he’s a bit miffed that Kate Gosselin is making money off the kids – and he’s not. Kate is busy filming Kate Plus 8 for TLC, and Jon is busy with – nothing. Does he really want his kids off TV, or does he just want to make money off them like their mom does?

As you may or may not be aware, I have been working for some time to remove my children from television. I do not believe being on TV is beneficial to any of them. They are no longer toddlers that are oblivious to what is going on around them. They are now six and ten, in school and desperately in need of a normal life.

Each of them has experienced negative effects of having their lives so public. Some are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues. My goal for my children is for them to have a normal childhood, and gain back their much deserved privacy. This is not about money, this is about my children. No amount of money is worth the price my children are paying. You cannot put a price on childhood. Money comes and goes, but you only have one childhood.

For those questions about money and support, I can say I am supporting my children to the best of my ability. All parties involved know the truth about this. I am and have been actively seeking employment. I have been barred from accepting entertainment deals that would generate income for my family due to contractual obligations. I am also actively looking for a job outside of the entertainment industry and so far, have not secured a position. In the mean time, I have been focusing on spending time with my children and providing a safe, stable, normal and private environment for them!

On October 13, 2010, I went to court to act in the best interest of my children- to remove them from television. The judge respectfully denied my plea, and granted filming rights to their mother. I honor the judge’s decision, but I do not support it. I will not stop fighting to remove my children from television. It is not a child’s job to support themselves, or a lifestyle, they need to be kids. I would like to apologize to my friends, family, and especially my children for not taking a stand earlier in my life and not questioning my decisions to have our lives documented and displayed. I will have to answer to my children for the rest of my life. I will have to live with this guilt the rest of my life. I am truly sorry!
