Oh, BTW, That Depp/Heard Australian Dog Drama Is Still Happening

Johnny Depp Has A Problem With Bad Breath

Yeah, these two are still in hot water…hot AUSSIE water.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s dog drama escalated this week after prosecutors announced that Heard has been charged with smuggling the couple’s two Yorkshire terriers into Australia in May.

Heard was charged Tuesday with two counts of illegally importing the dogs, Pistol and Boo and one count of producing a false document, and the actress has been issued a summons to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court in Queensland on Sept. 7. This entanglement could lead to (at most) 10 years in prison and a fine of $75,000. The false document charge carries a penalty of up to a year in prison and a fine of $7,500.

Yikes.

Obvi, Heard’s legal representation is going to keep her from prison, but the actress will probably have to appear…she can’t pawn all the obligation onto her legal team.

The couple first  encountered the legal trouble Down Under when they failed to declare the animals to customs authorities when they arrived in Brisbane via private jet, but they brought the dogs back to the states within 72 hours, when the Aussie govt threatened to euthanize the pups.

Do you think these two have learned their lesson?

Johnny Depp Surprises Sick Children As Captain Jack Sparrow

Johnny Depp Surprises Sick Children As Captain Jack Sparrow

In case you’ve missed the news, Johnny Depp is still a class act and a really good guy. As you may know, Johnny has been known to sneak into hospitals in full Captain Jack Sparrow costume and visit the sick kids.

Depp has been in Queensland, Australia filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Dead Men Tell No Tales and he insisted on a visit with the kids at the hospital.

At the hospital, Depp delighted kids like Max Bennett, a seven-year-old with transverse myelitis. Bennett was in a medically induced coma just a few weeks ago.

“It was really beautiful. Everyone kept on trying to move [Depp] on, but he kept on coming back,” Rachel Bennett, Max’s mother, told ABC Australia. “He came on the condition that he wasn’t pushed along and crowded by adults and he could spend as much time as he wanted with the kids.”

Like a true pirate, Depp left behind some booty for his friends – he gave Max golden coins. But the actor’s friendly antics, not his loot, were the highlight of the visit for Max. “He tied a knot in his hair to make a beard,” Max said. “That was my favorite part.”

Can someone give this guy a medal already – just for being so awesome?

Johnny Depp Jokes About Dog Drama

Johnny Depp Injures Hand In Australia; Flies Home For Surgery

Looks like there’s no more drama down under for Johnny Depp!

The actor was spotted mingling with fans on Thursday, while leaving the set of his most recent Pirates of the Caribbean film. I guess Depp and wife Amber Heard really did dig Australia, even though they were almost arrested for being idiots,   and the actor was lighthearted about the situation with his dogs when a fan asked about his time as an unofficial Aussie:

“I’m going to move in with the mayor and Amber and I are going to settle in with the mayor and probably live in the garage for a while, find a spot and get some pets.”

He followed the joke with a quick “Oopsie” but we know you think you’re verrrrryyyyy funny, Mr. Depp.

As we previously reported, officials down unda threatened to put Depp’s two yorkshire terriers under after they were illegally brought into the country on his private jet. Rumor has it that Heard and Depp shelled out $300,000 to charter another private jet back to the states so that his precious pooches were safe.

Lesson learned, Johnny? I hope so.

Johnny Depp Could Face 10 Years In Prison For Bringing His Dogs Into Australia

Johnny Depp Visits Beijing

Uh, I dunno, maybe OBEY the rules of a COUNTRY, Johnny Depp!

The actor might be facing 10 years jail time with a fine of 340,000 bucks after he illegally brought his two dogs into Australia a couple weeks ago. The fine might be chump change for a dude who owns a private island, but jail time’s no joke, dude.

Officials down under threatened to put the Mortdecai actor’s two yorkshire terriers down if he didn’t evacuate them. It’s also reported that the pilot that helped smuggle the dogs in could be facing two years in prison.

Officials have referred to the case as being very serious — we just hope this won’t effect the star’s filming schedule for his latest Pirates of the Caribbean film.

Apparently, in Australia, all dogs brought into the country must be quarantined for at least 10 days in order to prevent diseases from being spread.

The dogs have been evacuated from Australia and are now with Amber Heard, which seems safe-ish, though Amber Heard doesn’t seem like the most trustworthy, steadfast of people.

Hey you two- how about you keep your dogs in ‘Murica, mmmmkay? This is a pretty high price to pay for a little puppy love.
