‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Sequel in the Works?!

The 2013 National Board Of Review Awards Gala

I clearly have young kids, because I get really excited about animated sequel news.  Not that I don’t love and usually prefer original projects – but when your kids love characters – and you watch the movie no less than a million times – a new story line is always welcome.  One of our recent favorite is Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph with voices from John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman.  And rumor has it that they are working on a sequel!  Variety reports:

Composer Henry Jackman, who created the music for the 2012 original, told Collider in an interview about “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” that Disney is in the early stages of development on a “Wreck-It Ralph” sequel. He remained tight lipped beyond that, however, as he believed the film is a sure thing.

“I can’t tell you more, not because I’m being coy, but I believe that it is officially on the cards,” he said. “I don’t know any more other than a story is indeed being written. I’d be very surprised not to. I’m not blowing my own trumpet. Forget about the music. Just the movie itself I thought was a fantastically imaginative and creative piece of work.”

It really is a cute movie and fun for both boys and girls.  Sarah Silverman’s character is adorable and she’s hilarious in real life.

Kate Winslet cozies up next to Roman Polanski in new photo call

Kate Winslet cozied up next to Roman Polanski during a photo call for their new movie, ‘Carnage’ in Paris, France. Since Roman is currently on the run from the law (for raping a child in the 80’s), there won’t be any photo calls in the U.S.. I always find it interesting the celebs that choose to work with him (and Woody Allen for that matter). Doesn’t anyone care about what these guys have done? Woody had an affair with his teenage DAUGHTER – and Roman raped a 13 year old girl!

Anyway, off my high horse. Here are Kate, John C. Reilly and Roman Polanski in Paris to promote their new film, ‘Carnage’.

In the screen adaptation of playwright Yasmina Reza’s acclaimed Broadway play The God of Carnage, Polanski tells the tale of two sets of parents who meet up to talk after their children get into a fight at school.

The film has premiered at the Venice Film Festival.

Electric comic timing and star performances from an A-list cast of Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly and Christopher Waltz drive the film, shot in real time as the adults try settle the dispute with unpredictable twists.

Though “Carnage” is set in Brooklyn, it was shot in Paris as the French-Polish director is unable to travel freely around Europe because he is wanted in the United States following a conviction there for unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl in 1977.

And darnit if this movie doesn’t look good!!

PS: Kate looks unbelievable!

“I forgot to ask you, do you like guacamole?”

I almost peed my pants at the end of the trailer for “Step Brothers“.  Unfortunately, I cannot embed the trailer on my site here – so you’re going to have to go over to Yahoo to view it.  TRUST ME…it’s well worth it!

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in Step Brothers.

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, who last teamed in the box-office smash “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” now star in “Step Brothers,” directed by Adam McKay (“Talladega Nights”). In “Step Brothers,” Ferrell plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins).

When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

Movie is set to be released July 25, 2008!
