For Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, the wedding bells can wait – at least for a little while.

“We don’t have any plans for that right now,” Madden told People on Wednesday. “We’re just happy, and we’re being a family, and that’s where we’re at right now. But marriage means something different to everyone.”

As a celebrity DJ at the Oakley/Suzuki Celebrity Ride Day event in Perris, Calif., Madden took turns spinning records, and quelling notions of a summer rush to the altar.

“Right now we’re really happy,” the Good Charlotte frontman says, “and we’re concentrating on our family, and that’s what is making us happy right now. We’re moving at our own pace.”

The new father has his mind now on raising little daughter Harlow. “It’s crazy,” he says. “Every day she does something new. When she reaches for me, it’s awesome! Just watching her grow, it melts me!”

Paris Hilton has laughed off rumors she will wed boyfriend Benji Madden in a joint ceremony with her best friend Nicole Richie and his twin brother Joel.

The socialite recently admitted she would love to start a family with the Good Charlotte rocker and eventually make her relationship with Benji official.

But she insists any talk of a ceremony with Richie and her beau Joel is completely inaccurate.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, she says, “I’ve been hearing that rumor. But no, I think we both would want to have separate weddings.”

However, she is looking forward to hitting the road with her pal and their respective boyfriends for the Good Charlotte tour.

She adds, “It’s weird… we’re dating twins but it’s pretty perfect. We are all going on tour this summer, so I’m really excited about that.”

Joel Madden is battling to lose the weight he gained while his girlfriend Nicole Richie was pregnant with their baby daughter Harlow.

While Richie had good reason to eat for two, the Good Charlotte adopted the same diet and piled on the pounds.

Five months after the January, Richie is shedding her baby weight, and Madden is dieting too.

He says, “I gained weight when Nicole was pregnant. I was eating whatever she ate: pasta, pizza. I’m still a few pounds away from being back in shape.”

But he insists the socialite isn’t putting him under pressure to slim: “She doesn’t care how I look as long as I’m happy.”

Joel Madden has penned a blog message to fans and friends to deny reports he and girlfriend Nicole Richie have just wed.

The Good Charlotte star admits to feeling “really stupid” by addressing the gossip but felt he had to do something when upset pals started calling him asking why he’d failed to invite them to his nuptials.

He writes, “I’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding. I guess the only answer I could give them was that I didn’t know we were having one. I just found out that star magazine (U.S. publication) wrote some story about a 2 million dollar wedding we are supposed to be having, and that’s (sic) where it came from.

“Sooooo if you were pissed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, dont blame me, theres (sic) nothing to worry about. Its just star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? i give them a week or two…”

Nursery rhymes are fine, but baby Harlow “likes The Cure,” proud papa – and weekend DJ – Joel Madden tells People.

Madden, whose daughter with Nicole Richie, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, was born in January, jetted to the Hamptons for Memorial Day Weekend to spin records at La Playa in Southampton, but he’s not sticking around.

“The Hamptons are definitely a good place to hang out for the whole summer,” he told People. “But I’m a dad now. I’d be staying if I didn’t have the girls at home. That’s why I’m going home.”

The crowd at La Playa “went nuts for Justin Timberlake, and for [Black Kids]’ ‘I’m Not Going to Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance,’ Madonna, and Prince,” he said.

But for Harlow, Madden has a different playlist that includes “a lot of Disney stuff and classical. She likes Good Charlotte. And she likes her granddad [Lionel Richie]’s music. She likes old stuff. She’s a Cure fan … She likes The Cure.”

According to Madden, Harlow already moves to the music. “Oh, yeah,” he said. She kicks her legs.”

It’s no wonder Madden says one of his favorite things to do with Harlow is “listen to music and change diapers.”
