Madonna must think Joe Francis has a case after all!  Right before the Super Bowl Joe fired off a cease and desist letter to Madonna and the NFL over her song ‘Girls Gone Wild’.  They didn’t use the song during the halftime show and now it looks like Madonna knows she’s in the wrong with the use of the Joe’s trademark?

Joe Francis has scored a victory against the likes of Madonna without ever having to step foot in a courtroom … because she has changed the title of her new song “Girls Gone Wild” … as well as its lyrics.

Well, apparently Madonna and the record label, Interscope, have seen it Joe’s way … because we’ve learned they have agreed to change the song title to “GIRL Gone Wild.”

The battle’s been won … but Joe tells TMZ, the war’s not over — “Clearly her label was trying to avoid legal action surrounding the song … BUT [the new title] is still infringement as far as the law is concerned, and we have been in touch with Madonna’s people in an effort to resolve this issue.”

Joe says he’ll pursue new legal action if the Madge squad doesn’t make further changes to the title.

She changed it, what more does he want? So the phrase ‘girls gone wild’ can never be used for anything by anyone..ever? Seriously?

Joe Francis has sent a ‘cease and desist’ letter to Madonna, saying that he’ll sue the pants off the ‘Material Girl’ if she even thinks of performing her song ‘Girls Gone Wild’ at the Super Bowl.

Francis’ lawyer threatens to sue all of them for attempting to get a “free ride on the valuable consumer goodwill and brand recognition” of Joe’s famous trademark.

Francis’ lawyer makes it clear:  “Your misappropriation of my clients’ trademark will not be tolerated.”

But Francis is willing to cut a deal with Madonna, provided she agrees to the following terms:

– Negotiate an immediate licensing agreement for the use of Joe’s trademark
– Account for the number of times Madonna has already used the trademark
– NOT PERFORM THE SONG AT THE SUPER BOWL

Francis and his lawyers actually think Madonna and the NFL are conspiring with one another. He wants a response by 5p.m. today “or else.’

I’m sure Madonna’s shaking in her boots.

Joe Francis, the creator of the infamous ‘Girls Gone Wild’ franchise, was handcuffed this afternoon after a car crash resulted in a physical altercation in Beverly Hills.

“[Joe] was driving his Bentley on Rodeo Drive when his car collided with a female driver.  We’re told the two began arguing over who was at fault.  Francis tells TMZ … the woman grabbed his cell phone as he attempted to snap photos, and cops say at that point the two engaged in mutual combat.

Cops say both suffered minor injuries.  Francis says his finger was cut when the woman tried to grab the phone.

Police un-cuffed Francis and decided no one would be arrested.

The accident apparently occured because Joe opened his Bentley door into traffic and the female motorist crashed into it.

When you’re only married for a month, one must wonder why you ever married in the first place! What the heck! It took marrying him to realize he’s a douchebag?

Joe Francis and longtime girlfriend Christina McLarty were just married last month, but she has already had enough, according to Radaronline.com.

A source tells the website that Christina “moved out of their Bel Air home and into her mother’s house” and the couple may already be considering a divorce.

The ‘Girls Gone Wild’ founder reportedly dished about his marital troubles during Bruce and Kris Jenner’s annual Christmas eve party.

“He was talking about the details of the separation openly while at the Kardashian holiday party,” the source told Radar. “Christina moved out a bit after Thanksgiving.” No word on whether there was a prenup or what will happen to Christina’s $500,000 ring.

Joe and Christina wed at his estate in Punta Mita, Mexico estate in November after four years together. Christina is is an entertainment reporter at LA’s CBS2/KCAL9.

That’s the allegation from Girls Gone Wlid cameraman Ryan Simkin! He’s currently in the middle of a lawsuit, trying to win the rights to publish his tell-all book about Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis.

The book, ‘FLASH! Bars, Boobs, and Busted: Five Years on the Road with Girls Gone Wild,’ is being fought over between GGW founder Joe Francis and cameraman-turned writer Simkin in Los Angeles Supreme Court. The book details an incident where Francis allegedly orders Simkin to transport a small box containing cocaine and ecstasy to Hilton, who planned to fly to Europe with it. That’s when things got weird.

“I asked if she was flying private and she said, ‘No, commercial.’ And then as politely as I could, I asked her how she planned on traveling with that amount of blow and X,” Simkin wrote in the book. “She held the box in her right hand, and then with an underhand swoop like a lowercase J, she demonstrated exactly how she intended to beat airport security. She even whistled as she did it. A little alley-oop with the Camel box, straight up her s****h. Classic.”

Who knows if the story is accurate or not, but it’s certainly entertaining!

“Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis has been arrested in Los Angeles after he showed up five hours late for a court hearing in his tax evasion case.

When the adult-video entrepreneur finally appeared in court on Monday afternoon, he told the judge he was suffering from the flu. Francis’ attorney Melissa Weinberger says U.S. marshals then handcuffed Francis and took him away.

Francis is accused of claiming more than $20 million in bogus business expenses on his corporate tax returns, including $3.8 million for a home in Mexico and $10.4 million in phony consulting services. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of federal tax evasion.

The hearing was to consider a request from his tax attorneys to recuse themselves.

Joe Francis has been dropped from the line-up of Donald Trump’s hit reality TV show Celebrity Apprentice.

Francis revealed last month that he had signed up to appear on the business tycoon’s reality series, although network executives have yet to confirm the show’s competitors.

According to the New York Post, the porn mogul has been dropped from the show amid concerns from sponsors, who are said to be troubled by his recent legal woes – which included a 12-month stint behind bars on federal tax evasion charges.

Francis tells the newspaper: “Donald Trump and I decided to do a different show. I would have added a lot to Celebrity Apprentice, and I would have been excited to do it, but I’m more excited by this other idea.”

The show is set to begin recording in the autumn and is scheduled for a premiere in January.
