I know posts have been coming in slower than normal these last few months. I’ve been working tirelessly on this site for going on six years now (has it really been that long?) and the one thing I pride myself on is how often I update the site. You may have noticed things have slowed down a bit, so I thought you guys deserved to know – cause where would I be without you?

Life has taken an unwanted turn for me…

Last July my family and I found out that my mom (that’s her above, with my two boys at the Oregon Coast) had been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is a cancer of the plasma cells. Unfortunately – she had been battling it for almost 10 years, and we had no idea. In the last few months, her cancer has gotten considerably worse. I won’t go into the specifics, I’ll just say we’ve been in and out of the hospital since the end of May.

This is my site alone, my baby, and I do most of the writing. BUT – I also have two wonderful writers, Beth and Erica, who help when they can. When they can’t help, my posting may be a bit light. That’s been the case this week… things were a bit slower than I like.

But please know I’m not going anywhere – and I’m not slacking on the site because I want to. Trust me – I’d rather be home working on the site than sitting in an oncology ward!

So that’s what’s going on with me…

Can you believe it’s been nine years since 9/11? It seems like it was only yesterday.

Where were you when the planes hit the World Trade Centers? I remember that day exactly. I was at work, which was next door to where I lived. When we heard word of what happened, I dropped everything and ran home to my husband, and my baby boy – who had just turned 1. I sat in front of the TV – in disbelief – sobbing as we watched the whole thing unfold. We watched in horror as the first building went up in flames, and then that unforgettable moment when we watched the second plane crash into building two.

It seemed to me like the world just froze. Didn’t hear any cars, didn’t hear anything. Man, I’m getting chills just thinking about it again.

To all those who lost their lives that horrific day, we will never forget you. And as a nation – may we never forget.

I need someone who watches a lot of TV, and likes to talk about it. The goal of your article would be to get my audience to interact with you. I want you to be able to get the readers to respond – talk – comment – get involved with you.

Did something shocking happen on ______ show last night? Talk about it! Did you see that!? Talk about it! Can you believe they did that!? Write about it! I want someone who watches network & cable shows… reality and scripted. If this sounds like you, I need you!

I watch all these shows myself, but with the amount of work I’m doing, I can’t take the time to write this article myself.

REQUIREMENTS:

• You MUST have good grammar – and know how to spell check.
• Your article must be clean, and appropriate.
• You must know WordPress.
• You need to know how to resize photos, and know where to get pictures for your post.
• I’m looking for 1 article per day.
• You need to know how to write/engage my readers. I’m looking for a witty, animated writer who gets my readers excited for your article each day.
• You will be paid once per week via Paypal.
