Jim Carrey has been spotted all over NYC with a new woman the last couple months, and up until now we didn’t know who the lady was. Well, NY Post has cracked the case!

Love is in the air for Jim Carrey. Sources say the “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” star has been getting “hot and heavy” with pretty blonde Anastasia Vitkina. She’s the ex of Carrey’s pal David Schoonmaker, a partner at NoLIta nest Travertine, who has been described in press reports as a “mystery woman.” But sources tell us the Russian beauty is a student in New York. Our spies say Carrey and Vitkina began seeing each other after his split with Jenny McCarthy last year. Vitkina has been flying back and forth to LA to see the actor. The two were spotted together at a Guns N’ Roses gig in LA this month.

The 49-year-old actor split from Jenny McCarthy in April 2011 after dating for five years, then briefly dated 24-year-old model Anchal Joseph in January.

Katie Holmes went on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night to talk about her new miniseries ‘The Kennedy’s’ which recently premiered on Reelz Channel. While the show has ended up being much less controversial than The History Channel thought, critics have been harsh on Katie’s performance. One reviewer wrote Holmes plays the part with “absolutely no nuance and only the occasional flash of spirit, intellect and inner strength.”

She also talked about Suri, her daughter with Tom Cruise, who turns 5 this month. She admitted to Jimmy that she likes to dedicate the “whole month” to celebrating Suri’s birthday – which she called her “favorite day of the year”. The whole month? Really?

Katie admitted, “I want her to be happy, so she really plans her own party.” Katie said in the years past she has planned Suri’s party herself, and ended up with a very un-happy daughter, so from now on – she’ll let Suri plan the party herself. “There have been times where I’ve done it all and she says, ‘This isn’t the cake.’ ” (Yikes!)

“She wants her friends to come over, and have a slumber party. We make lists, and we have meetings. She picks out things, and we make the cake together.” We have meetings!? With a 5 year old?

Britney Spears, who is out promoting her new album, “Femme Fatale,” appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday night. So did “Jackass” star Johnny Knoxville.

As part of her appearance last night, Britney filmed a sketch showing her “deleted scene” from “Jackass 3D” where she performed a stunt called “Poo Cocktail Supreme” — the flying porta-potty stunt Steve-O did in the movie.

Charlie Sheen surprised Jimmy Kimmel last night when he interrupted an interview between Kimmel and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

I guess since Charlie and Mark have been talked business, most notably about a reality television show, Charlie felt more than comfortable with walking right in and taking over. Before anyone could real say anything, Charlie walked right up to Jimmy, grabbed his face and planted a huge kiss on his lips.

If that wasn’t enough, he pulled out his shirts with his famous phrases ‘Tiger’s Blood’ and ‘Winning’ on them, and threw them into the audience. Charlie also gave Jimmy a gift: a coffee mug with pictures of foxes on it, and when Charlie was asked what it meant, he replied:

“I’ll let you figure it out.”

Jimmy joked:

“I had this dream before and it doesn’t end well.”

Then Charlie left to a standing ovation from the studio audience and like a very bizarre dream it was all over.

After the show, Jimmy tweeted:

“we had a very very famous surprise walk-on guest tonight. my head is still spinning…”
