Jimmy Kimmel Welcomes a Baby Girl!

Salma Hayek at The LACMA 2013 Art + Film Gala in LA

Congratulations are in order for TV host Jimmy Kimmel and his wife, Molly McNearney!  Their first child, a baby girl, was born earlier today.  Kimmel announced the arrival via Twitter:

“Congratulations to my beautiful and very tough wife @mollymcnearney on delivering our baby girl this morning,” the late-night comedian tweeted at around 10:30 a.m. PT. In a second tweet a few minutes later, he added, “Thanks for all your kind baby wishes—turns out, not ALL tweets are mean!”

McNearney, for her part, wrote, “Kids, don’t do drugs. Until you have a baby. Then do ALL OF THEM.”

Kimmel and McNearney have been together since 2009 and were married in July of last year.  Kimmel has two other children, a boy and a girl, in their twenties from his first marriage to Gina Maddy.

Jimmy Kimmel lands the latest cover of Esquire Magazine, talks about the other “Jimmy” in late night.

What’s not to love when it comes to Jimmy Kimmel. I love him long time. The late night talk show host lands the latest cover of Esquire Magazine. Inside he opens up about rumors that he and fellow late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon have beef with each other.

Well, he has one complaint. “My only complaint about Jimmy Fallon is the first name: Jimmy,” Kimmel told the April issue of Esquire, which hits newsstands March 25. “People get us mixed up all the time. No one remembers which Jimmy is which.”

“Actually, he says the same thing happens to him,” Kimmel, 46, continued. “He’s like an athlete out there. He can jump high, act, sing. He’s a true performer. I’m a broadcaster. That’s how I come at this. Not a stand-up, not an actor, not a commentator. A broadcaster.”

Still, Kimmel can’t imagine any other profession.

“This is the job,” Kimmel said. “The only job for a person like me. I mean, I like to draw, I’m really good at it. I’m a good artist, and I think that’s what I would have done had radio not worked out for me. But here I am. You won’t see me doing anything else in the next 25 years.”

Kimmel also opened up about one of his favorite subjects: Toronto mayor Rob Ford.

“The truth is, right now, Rob Ford is keeping me in business,” Kimmel said. “There’s new video every day. The mayor of Toronto throwing candy canes at small children. The mayor wandering into a dance club. I don’t even have to write it. I sit back and watch him. He’s pranking the world.”

Who do you prefer, Jimmy Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon? It’s a toss up for me!

Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel made up on his show last night, of course.

Last night Kanye West sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to squash their stupid Twitter fight. Two weeks ago Kanye and Jimmy got into it, after Jimmy did a spoof about children reacting to Kanye’s now-infamous BBC interview. Kanye called Jimmy out for being a bitch, and the two went back and forth calling each other names, etc. Real adult-like. So Kanye hopped on over to Jimmy’s show last night (he also brought Kim and baby North) so they could talk it all out for publicity.

I find Kanye West to be incredibly annoying. I can’t handle the guy. He’s too pretentious. He’s got this God-like complex that is unbelievable. I’ll give it to Kanye, though, he did admit that he overreacted on Twitter. So there’s that.

If you’re wondering what Kanye had to say, continue reading after the jump! (more…)

Jimmy Kimmel fooled us all – is behind the Epic Twerking Fail You Tube video!

Man, I was CONVINCED this You Tube video was real! It didn’t look staged at all! Even the girls reactions seemed so legit!

Turns out the video of Caitlin Heller catching fire while trying to Twerk was all a hoax set up by none other than Jimmy Kimmel.

Caitlin (who turns out to be a stunt woman whose real name is Daphne Avalon) appeared on Jimmy Kimmel last night. She revealed that the clip was a hoax, and showed the “Directors Cut” video, which ended with Jimmy Kimmel coming in the room and extinguishing the fire himself.

The video has been seen by 10 million people, and was reported on basically every news outlet (including moi).

“Good thing nothing is happening in Syria right now,” Kimmel joked after showing a montage of reporters talking about the video.

Hilarious! Gotta give it to him!
