Bruce Almighty co-stars Jim Carrey and Steve Carell have teamed up again to bring another Dr. Seuss tale to the big screen. Carrey, who starred in Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas, will play the lead in Horton Hears a Who!, while Carell will portray the Mayor of Whoville in the project.
Comedienne Carol Burnett, who plays the villainous Kangaroo in the film, says, “I’ve yet to meet Jim or Steve and I hope I do. Maybe Steve can get me on (TV show) The Office, which I love. And I wish Jim and I could be on the same set together because I think we could be ad-libbing and overlapping and stuff. It would be wonderful.”
That sounds great!

This will be great!
Jim Carrey will star as Ebenezer Scrooge and the three ghosts that haunt him in the Robert Zemeckis-directed adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol for Walt Disney Pictures. Zemeckis also wrote the screenplay and will produce with Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey through ImageMovers Digital. The movie will blend computer graphics, live action, and ”performance capture/Disney digital 3-D” animation, which Zemeckis first introduced in Polar Express and used again in the upcoming Beowulf, which stars Angelina Jolie. Carrey will play Scrooge through several periods of his life as well as the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. Zemeckis wrote the script specifically with Carrey in mind.

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy continue their vacation in Hawaii.

Jim Carrey has unveiled his sensitive side – he serenades lover Jenny McCarthy with romantic ballads in his spare time. The funnyman is bragging about writing a Valentine’s Day love song for his voluptuous girlfriend.
He says, “It kind of goes like this: ‘Take it off, get it on, take it off, get it on, take it off, get it on, take it off, get it on, take it off, get it on.’ I’m getting together with Kanye West. I think it’s going to be a good one.”
Think Jim Carrey’s ever going to get another invite from Tom Cruise? Not after the funnyman called Cruise “the big joke” of last year.
Carrey was very publicly trotted out for the cameras at Cruise’s November wedding to Katie Holmes in Italy, but that apparently doesn’t mean he’s got all that much respect for Tom. “Everyone gets to be the big joke for a year. That’s this business. Last year it was Tom Cruise,” he tells Time (via Page Six). Of course, Carrey admits that he might be on his way to laughing-stock status as well, because he’s not making big $20-million-per pictures anymore. “I could be the next Kathie Lee Gifford.”
