Those crazy country singers.

Brad Paisley had a run in with the law early Sunday morning in Nashville, thanks to tour mate Jewel.

The country singer, 35, was “arrested” by two retired police officers at 3:15 a.m. in his Nashville hometown, reports Great American Country. He had just landed at the airport after finishing his last tour date with Jewel and Chuck Wicks in San Antonio.

Paisley was placed into handcuffs for “serious crimes,” according to the cops.

“You’ve gotta be kidding me!” the bewildered country star said. “I’ve never done anything wrong in my life.”

Replied police: “We have a Miss Jewel Murray who has filed 42 charges against you in the states of Texas and Tennessee for excessive noodling.”

At that point, Paisley realized he’d been had by Jewel, his opening act.

“Noodling? On the guitar? You know what, I am guilty,” he joked.

The whole tour has been full of pranks.

Wicks stepped out on stage one night covered in maple syrup and feathers. Another time, a man dressed as a giant condom swung down from the ceiling during Jewel’s performance.

Jewel’s touring band were left shaken after her bus driver fell asleep at the wheel on Sunday night.

Jewel and her new husband Ty Murray weren’t on the bus when it crashed into a ditch on the way back to Tennessee following a show with Brad Paisley in Virginia.

No injuries were reported and the passengers were able to catch a ride on Paisley’s bus.

Glad to hear no one was hurt! Brad is such a nice guy for lending hand.

Jewel sure knows how to pull off a hush-hush wedding.

Without family, friends (or paparazzi!) knowing, the singer and rodeo star Ty Murray eloped to the Bahamas on Aug. 7. “To pull off the wedding quietly made it magical,” Jewel told People the following day.

Held at The Cove Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, the very private affair included just two guests: Jewel’s former keyboard player Jason Freese, who officiated (the couple found out he had been ordained online) and his wife Amy.

At sunset, as Otis Redding’s “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” played from their private cabana, Jewel, 34, (in Monique Lhuillier) met her groom (in jeans and cowboy boots) in the sand to recite their handwritten vows. “I said that I’ll try to make our lives the best piece of art I’ve ever done,” she said.

Murray, 38, secretly proposed to the singer on her birthday, May 23, and the couple decided to elope since “we feel that’s what marriage is – just me and her,” he said. After their “I dos” the newlyweds called their families to break their happy news and enjoyed a surprise fireworks display from the resort. “It felt,” said the groom, “like we were the only ones in the world.”

Perhaps not for long: Jewel told People that she and Murray are “ready to start a family.” In fact, her new husband added, “We’re going to start working on that tonight!”

Sources say that it was a small and intimate ceremony.

Having sold more than 18 million albums in the U.S. and 27 million albums worldwide since her professional debut in 1995, Jewel has been honored by the Recording Industry Association of America – which surprised her with a career-milestone plaque on Thursday as she prepared to sign autographs at the Country Music Association festival in Nashville.

“This is awesome. Thank you so much,” said the singer, 34, the Associated Press reports.

Jewel (full name: Jewel Kilcher) released her new album, Perfectly Clear on Tuesday. Its lead single, “Stronger Woman,” is already No. 15 on the Billboard chart. This summer, she tours with Brad Paisley.
