Jessica Simpson and boyfriend Tony Romo stepped out together Saturday night.

The two joined her sister Ashlee and parents Joe and Tina for a pre-Easter dinner at Eva Longoria Parker‘s restaurant, Beso, in West Hollywood.

“You look gorgeous tonight, Jessica,” a photographer told her. “Thank you,” she replied.

As Joe exited the restaurant, photographers asked him whether they were celebrating Jessica’s engagement to Romo. He smiled and replied, “It’s Easter.”

Over the weekend, Jessica also sent her fans an encouraging message on her official fan site.

She wrote:

“Why do we let the sun SET with its beauty, then find ourselves ugly.

Didn’t God, whoever he may be to you, create both? If a sunset is beautiful, then so are we.

Love yourself morning, noon, and night. Sunrise. Sunset.

Xo jess”

Looks like Jessica Simpson’s country crooning days are over.

The singer, 28, is no longer with the Sony Nashville label, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.

Earlier today, blogs were abuzz that Simpson was dropped from the label after her name was noticeably missing from both the Columbia Nashville and Sony Music Nashville websites.

Simpson also skipped Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, even though she announced the nominees earlier this year.

But the singer’s rep tells Us, “She was on loan to Sony Nashville for her country album.”

Simpson, who has released pop albums on the Epic label, “is and has always been an Epic artist,” her rep adds. “She continues to be on Epic’s label.”

Although Simpson’s country debut, Do You Know, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country charts, it only sold 172,876 copies as of February.

Simpson also struggled as she opened for Rascal Flatts this year, often flubbing lines or forgetting lyrics altogether. (It didn’t help that critics seemed to focus more on her weight gain than her singing.)

Still, Simpson was always convinced that country was for her.

“I am a country girl. I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to,” she said.

She also cited Martina McBride, Shania Twain and Faith Hill as inspirations: “I think there is a strength in female country artists.”

Jessica Simpson’s days on the road are over.

The singer, 28, played the last show on her “Bob Your Head Tour” (with Rascal Flatts) Saturday in Irvine, Calif.

“I’m just so excited to be here doing this,” she told the audience at the the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. “It’s a dream come true. I feel like I’ve been given a second chance.”

Simpson made headlines while on the road for her buzzed-about new curves and her tendency to mess up songs.

At her final show, the singer (who was back in Daisy Dukes) continued to have a few on-stage mishaps.

She flubbed the opening lyrics to “Remember That,” a song about being in an abusive relationship.

“Oops! I said whiskey too early! I messed up!” she said before starting the song over. “I’m so embarrassed! But I’m starting over again because I really
want you guys to hear the lyrics the right way.”

While singing “Still Don’t Stop Me”, she also mixed up the opening line, blushing and running her fingers through her hair.

“I messed up again! I do this all the time!” she said, laughing.

At times, Simpson got sentimental, covering the Robbie Williams ballad “Angels.”

“I know that we all feel that we have angels around us, watching over us all the time,” she said. “It’s so important to remember that.”

(Fans erupted in applause at the end of that song, prompting Simpson to joke, “I just felt like I was on American Idol!”)

As she’s done at most of her shows, she also thanked beau Tony Romo before belting out “You’re My Sunday, which she dedicated to the “person I’m in love with right now.”

Simpson closed the show with “Come On Over,” which she dedicated to Dolly Parton.

“It’s so amazing to be up here,” she said before singing her last song. “I still can’t believe I’m here!”

Women who are in abusive relationships should “run so far away,” Jessica Simpson advised at a concert in Phoenix Thursday.

The 28-year-old singer — who has admitted she was in an abusive relationship — offered those words before belting out the ballad, “Remember That,” which features the lyrics: “It doesn’t matter how he hurts you/With his hands or with his words/You don’t deserve it.”

“In love, we all go through a lot of things, and a lot of things unfortunately make us stay there [in the relationship],” she told the crowd at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion. “No matter what you go through in life, no matter what abuse you go through, take your heart and run so far away.”

Simpson spoke more on relationship issues before singing “Still Don’t Stop Me,” which she said she wrote about “a guy that I couldn’t get over.”

“After I wrote that song, I was mad at myself for being so weak, and I got over that guy!” added the singer, who was wed to Nick Lachey and went on to date John Mayer.

Although Simpson has never named names, she admitted last year that she had been in an abusive relationship.

Asked by Elle if she had been physically abused, she said, “I don’t want to talk about it, but I have definitely experienced abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run.”

Richard Simmons has a few words of advice if Jessica Simpson wants to lose those controversial curves.

“I was 268 pounds — I’ve been there,” the weight guru tells Entertainment Tonight.

“We eat for so many reasons,” Simmons says. “Most of the reasons are emotional.”

Us Weekly has reported Simpson packed on pounds because she’s insecure in her relationship with Tony Romo.

“We have to start liking ourselves more before we start taking better care of ourselves,” he goes on.

Simmons says “it’s just so tough to be exposed, and let people see you gain weight.

“I pray for all those celebrities who are having a really tough time,” he goes on.

Jennifer Love Hewitt — who was mocked in 2007 after appearing slightly heavier on the beach in Hawaii — had a few words of wisdom for Simpson as well.

“Ignore it, live your life and be happy,” she told Us Sunday at the Lela Rose fashion show in NYC.
