Jessica Simpson let it slip during an interview with US Weekly that she her little bundle of joy is going to be a boy.

In the interview she talks about her announcement of her pregnancy and how she came up with the imaginative idea of revealing it to the world (me thinks Beyonce may have been a slight influence) – dressing as a ‘mummy’ for Halloween and in the midst of her chatter she let it slip.

“My kid’s going to think I’m pretty cool!” she boasted. “This is a cool think to welcome him to the world with.”

Jessica Simpson LOVES being pregnant. So much in fact, that even though she hasn’t delivered her baby yet, she already wants more!

“Pregnancy was meant for me – it really was,” the Fashion Star mentor and Beauty Mint spokesperson tells PEOPLE. “I can’t wait to have more kids. I love being pregnant. I have such an incredible connection with myself and with my body that I’ve never had before.”

Simpson, 31, also says pregnancy has been a spiritual time, too.

“Just knowing that you’re creating a life is such a spiritual thing,” she says. “Everything is growing, but you’re making a life. It’s pretty cool.”

On the flipside, Simpson has discovered not all the perks of pregnancy are true either.

“People always say that pregnant women have a glow,” she says. “And I say it’s because you’re sweating to death. I think they just tell pregnant women they’re glowing to make them feel good about themselves, because everything makes them a little bit emotional.”

Contributing to the experience is having her fiancé Eric Johnson at her side every step of the way.

“When I’m tired, I make Eric rub me,” she says. “Eric is very, very supportive. We’re both extremely excited. He’s been to every doctor’s appointment with me. We just love it. We can’t believe we get to do this, and we get to do it together. We’re going to be a rock star family!”

Man, I looooooooooooooved being pregnant too. I never had morning sickness, or any other complications. I just felt like a queen for 9 months! If I could just be pregnant all the time, I would do it. Only trouble is – you end up with a baby when all is said and done. If they popped out 4 years old, I’d be good!

So when will Eric and Jessica get married? That’s up for debate. Jessica claims she wants to wait until after the baby is born, so she doesn’t have to be a “hormonal bride”. But there are other sources (of course there are) that claim Jessica’s not even sure she wants to marry Eric, and even more, that Eric doesn’t want to sign a prenup.

Ah, but this is Jessica we’re talking about, so even at this life pinnacle, there’s something to cause her anguish: Eric, who sources say had agreed to a prenuptial agreement, is now backing out and insisting on an equal share in her fortune — which is why, even as Jess’ baby bump burgeons, the couple’s wedding plans are on hold.

“Eric’s completely changed his mind,” an insider tells OK!. “He started dragging his feet, refusing to sign the prenup they’d drawn up; now he’s laying this whole guilt-trip on her about how he believes in true love and she should, too. A lot of people feel she’s been totally betrayed.”

Delaying the wedding while the down-home traditional Jessica is expecting, the insider adds, seems especially callous.

“Eric knows how important it was to her to be married before the baby was born,” says the source. “She wanted to rush the wedding so that her child wouldn’t be born out of wedlock, and she wouldn’t walk down the aisle with this massive bump. And he’s basically used that as a bargaining chip.”

“The problem is that Jess really loves him and wants to make him happy,” adds the insider. “She’s such a softy at heart, and she’s so sure he’s the one, which makes it harder for her to tell him no. She almost went through with it, too, but her sister Ashlee [Simpson] stopped her. Ashlee’s going through a terrible divorce herself [with Pete Wentz] and at one time everyone thought they would last forever. If Ashlee and Pete were still together, Jessica probably would have just gone and eloped without a prenup — but her sister’s breakup really shocked her.”

Nevertheless, many of Jessica’s friends are worried about how Eric’s financial hard-line will affect the future of their relationship.

“It’s been really strained, and Jessica has random crying fits,” the insider tells OK!. “She can’t believe he’s not giving her what she wants. But at the same time, she’s totally crazy about him.”

Bottom line? “Jess wants to have the baby already and start motherhood,” her longtime friend says. “And she just doesn’t want to mess up the relationship with Eric — not when she’s this close to having everything she’s always wanted.”

Jessica Simpson has caught major media attention in the past for her flucuating weight, but now that the singer is pregnant, she says this is the most comfortable she has ever been with her body.

Maybe Jessica Simpson didn’t like the fact that everyone was talking about the Kim-Kardashian-Kris-Humphries split today. This is the same girl who announced she was engaged shortly after her ex-husband announced he was engaged first.  Whatever the reason, Jessica chose today to confirm Hollywood’s worst-kept secret. She’s pregnant.

Dressed as an ancient Egyptian sarcophagus dweller, she said, “That’s right, I’m going to be a mummy.”

When I first saw these pictures this morning I immediately noticed her horrible extensions. (The hair’s not even the same color!)

Next thing I noticed were these huge heels she’s wearing. I don’t know how pregnant women do it, seriously. I lived in flip-flops and Nike’s the whole time I was pregnant.

And an expert has now predicted that the singer, TV reality star and fashion designer is around six months pregnant.

Simpson, 31, has yet to say she is pregnant as she reportedly tried to secure $500,000 for a magazine deal to make the annoucement.

Boston-based gynaecologist, Dr Dave David, told Radar Online that Simpson is heading into her third trimester, with her and fiance Eric Johnson expecting their first child early next year.

“She looks to be 26 weeks, which is around six months,” he told Radar Online.

‘It is definitely a pregnancy and not weight gain. You can by the shape of her abdomen, her belly wouldn’t be that rounded if it was just fat.

“She is short so the bump looks bigger because it has no where to go but out.”

Sources told the New York Post that Simpson’s manager father Joe is asking for $500,000 for his daughter to confirm she is pregnant with her fiance, former NFL star Eric Johnson.

A PR expert told Radar Online that Simpson does not have the “star power” to secure such a figure.

Nicole Richie sold the first photographs of her baby Harlow for a reported $1m while Christina Aguilera demanded double that for snaps of her baby Max on the cover of People magazine.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh earned her mummy and daddy in the region of $4m – although they did give the proceeds to charity.

Simpson was set to wed Johnson in November, but the couple have postponed the wedding with sources claiming the delay is due to Simpson being pregnant.

The couple, who have been together for two years, became engaged in November 2010.

While shopping at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City on Monday, Jessica Simpson, 30, encountered some toilet trouble in the ladies room!

“Short girl problems,” Simpson wrote beneath a TwitPic of her feet, dangling from the toilet, too short to reach the floor.

The star is in the Big Apple with younger sister Ashlee, nephew Bronx and their mom Tina to work on their tween denim line for the Jessica Simpson Collection. One thing Simpson’s not addressing head-on: Web rumors speculating her pregnancy.

Simpson, engaged to former NFL star Eric Johnson for nearly a year, was snapped yesterday in NYC clutching her belly, covered up with a winter-weather poncho.

PS: Can we talk about how nice that bathroom floor is!? I’ve never been in a bathroom at a store that looked that nice and clean! Oh to be rich and famous.
