Jessica Simpson has been enjoying being an aunt to 3-year-old Bronx, but now she gets to experience the joys of pregnancy and motherhood for herself. The singer revealed her preggie cravings to Rachel Ray, and trust me, it’s something only another mother could empathize with.

“This week it’s peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted, and then, I’ll put some salt on my hand like I’m taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich.”

Love how she compared it to a tequila shot. She also said she’s been way more sappy than usual.

“That’s the one thing about pregnancy — I’ll cry at the drop of a hat,” she said. “Even a great souffle would make me cry.”

The 31-year-old “really [loves] being pregnant,” and shared what really made her tear up the most:

“I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears. It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, ‘There it went. It’s there. It’s really there.’”

How does little Bronx feel about his new cousin?

“He rubs my belly. He has guesses. He said he wants it to be a girl… He thinks it’s going to be a girl.”

Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson are beaming about having their first child together, and though the pair can agree that they pretty much know the gender of the baby, they can’t quite seem to agree on which gender that is.

“I think it’s a girl,” Simpson, 31, told PEOPLE at the New York launch of a clothing line that she and sister Ashlee Simpson created. “But I don’t know yet.”

“I think it’s a boy,” says Johnson, who was on hand at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York along with future mother-in-law Tina Simpson. “We’re pretty much at a standstill there.”

Don’t worry; they’ll put all the questions to rest when they find out the baby’s gender. While some couples opt to wait and have it be a surprise at birth, Jessica and Eric just can’t wait that long.

“I don’t think we can wait. Jessica is too honest about everything, she needs to know. I don’t think she can hold that secret to herself.”

Jessica, however, admits that if she does have a boy, she’s looking on going the cross-dressing route.

“If it’s a boy,” she quips, “I’ll put him in tutus!”

A pregnant Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson walked the red carpet last night at the Footwear News Achievement Awards at the Museum of Modern Art (huh?). The event apparently honors “top shoe designers, fashion brands, style stars, leading retailers, and industry icons.”  I’m assuming this means Jessica was being honored for her shoe work…. considering she sells a ton of shoes.

Jessica wore a tight red dress by Donna Karan. What do you think? I think it looks beautiful on her. I love it when pregnant woman embrace their curves and really show them off.

Anyway, Jessica looks insanely happy. Good for her!

Jessica Simpson is on the hunt for a new home in NYC. The pregnant singer was spotted checking out homes in New York City this morning.

Jessica is certainly glowing these days, but Jess says it much less glamorously than I would have. “People always say that when you’re pregnant, you glow, but I say it’s because of all sweating you do!,” Jessica jokingly explained.

Jessica Simpson was certainly thinking ahead when she signed a multi-million deal with Weight Watchers. The singer reportedly will earn $4 million as she agrees to lose her baby weight with the help of the weight loss company.

The mom-to-be stepped out last night at The Coop in Los Angeles where her sister, Ashlee, was throwing her son’s birthday party.

Jessica sure went comfy, showing up in Uggs, sweats, and an over-sized coat.

While the singer and actress admits to being ‘definitely bigger than I’ve ever been’ Jessica believes she has ‘never felt so connected with my body in my life.’

Having decided to push her wedding with fiancé and father of her unborn baby Eric Johnson back from December until after the baby is born, Jessica, said she wants to plan it when she’s not feeling so hormonal.

‘We were going to throw something together, but I’d rather put more time in it and be able to really enjoy the day,’ she told Access Hollywood.
‘When you’re pregnant, your hormones go crazy. I don’t want to be super stressed out and end up being a bridezilla! So, I’ll wait until after.’
