Now that her sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has been canned on Melrose Place, Jessica Simpson says she isn’t a fan of the CW soap.

The singer, 29, used to promote her sister’s former show regularly on her Twitter (”Everyone watch my sis on melrose place tonight,” she wrote Oct. 20).

But on Sunday, she changed her tune drastically. Jessica wrote: “CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with,but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press.”

According to the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now), Ashlee, a veteran of TV’s 7th Heaven, was canned because producers thought she couldn’t act.

“They hired her because they needed a good name to help create buzz,” a set insider told Us Weekly. “But she was embarrassingly bad. Producers cut her down as much as possible.”

Seconds another source: “She’s the worst actress, but nobody will tell her.”

What’s next for Ashlee?

Possibly more acting.

Us Weekly reports the mom of 11-month-old Bronx (dad is rocker Pete Wentz, 30) doesn’t want to return to her songstress roots. “She’s reading scripts. Acting is her focus now,” a source tells Us Weekly. “If she had an album, she’d have to tour and be away from Bronx. She wants consistency.”

Jessica Simpson is Hollywood’s most eligible bachelorette — and she plans to stay that way until she finds a man who has the three must-have traits she’s looking for in a lover.

Jessica, 29, has opened up about her dream guy in an interview with Extra, airing tonight.

First off, “I definitely love a spiritual man,” she says, “somebody that is going to always inspire me.”

Second? “I don’t want to get bored,” says the singer, who split with Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo in July, “I can bore out pretty easily, so I love intellectual men … people that will always keep me intrigued.”

Third? “And, you know, I love artistic men,” says Jessica who dated John Mayer, “somebody that really understands their art.”

Plus, he can’t be a shy guy. “I like a confidant man,” she says.

Meanwhile, Jessica is grateful to be traveling the world for her new VH1 reality show, The Price of Beauty, so soon after her humiliating summer break-up.

“I couldn’t have had this journey at a better time in my life — to seek out beauty, to seek out confidence, and to seek out the power of a woman,” she says.

And she says she’s come to terms with her body image after being criticized for her fluctuating weight.

“It really is about who I am and what I want to become,” she states, “and what’s going to make the best version of myself.”

“What people say about me,” she adds, “all that stuff is not really important.”

Jessica Simpson was in India to film her television show, The Price of Beauty. And while in the country, she was trying to get a handle on Indian culture.

She got her hands tattooed with henna and wore a bindi when she attended the Gitanjali Bollywood bash at Vie Lounge in Mumbai.

Jessica was in the city as Neha Dhupia’s guest. Neha is the Indian beauty ambassador on the singer’s show.

India is just one stop on Jessica’s world tour – she’s travelling around the globe trying to understand what different cultures find beautiful and why.

Daisy would want Jessica to get a new dog…

It’s been exactly a month since Jessica Simpson’s prized pooch, Daisy, was snatched from her backyard by a coyote. In time, her grief will subside, but for now the 29-year-old singer is heartbroken but believes her dog would want her to move on.

“Daisy meant the world to me,” she told Usmagazine.com at a QVC event in NYC Tuesday. “I hold her memory very, very close. It was an unfortunate thing what happened. That I don’t have her every day … It’s a very hard thing to talk about.”

The 5-year-old Malti-Poo went missing on Sept. 14 in Los Angeles. That night, she created a missing dog poster that read “I Miss My Mommy … Daisy” all over her neighborhood. After a frantic weeks-long search, Simpson gave up.READ MORE

After Jessica Simpson’s beloved dog Daisy (which was a present from ex-husband Nick Lachey) was snatched by a coyote as she watched in horror, her friends fear that Jessica may hit rock bottom.

“Daisy was her baby,” one of them told PEOPLE. “It’s going to put her into a tailspin. It will put her into the worst place ever.”

Daisy was taken by a coyote last week in Los Angeles, and Jessica has been unable to locate her favorite pooch since.  She has refused to quit searching, offering a reward and putting up fliers.

“She won’t leave her parents’ house,” a source said.

“Whenever things went wrong for Jessica, she reached for Daisy,” another source, a friend, said. “Daisy was her security blanket. When people let her down, she always had Daisy.”

She has made a few public outings since Daisy went missing, but it’s time to get back to work. Here Jessica is seen arriving at Heathrow airport in London, where she is set to continue filming her new reality show, “The Price of Beauty”.

Jessica Simpson’s apparently run out of hope.

She has called off the dog hunters from Find Toto who had been searching for her missing 5-year-old maltipoo, Daisy, after the canine was snatched by a coyote earlier this week outside her Los Angeles-area home.

“They concluded the search and are not continuing it at this time. There are no leads,” Find Toto spokeswoman Colleen Busch tells E! News. “They wanted to feel they gave it their best efforts. They felt chances were slim from the beginning. Apparently [coyotes] are quite an issue in that area.”

Even after canvassing the neighborhood and bringing in tracking dogs, there was still no sign of Daisy.

“They were upset and hoping to find at least the remains to try and get some closure by this weekend,” Busch adds. “We offered to continue the search for her but they weren’t going ahead with anything.”
