Jessica Alba has just learned that she’s set to join mother-to-be Jennifer Lopez and become a first-time mother to twins.

Alba is the latest Hollywood star set to join the current twins trend, where rumors are also flying about Angelina Jolie. Jessica is so excited about the news that she’s been letting all of her friends know. A friend blurted about the baby exclusive as well as her due date of June 8th.

One friend says, “Knowing that she’s going to have twins has turned Jessica’s life upside down. She and (fiance) Cash have had to scrap plans for a one-baby nursery and start all over again.” Although the couple know they’re set to become parents to twins, they have no idea about the sex of their babies. The source adds, “They’re not sure whether they want to know the sex of the babies now or wait to be surprised.”

I’m sorry, but “I’m excited for my baby to be brown” is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. If Gwen Stefani came out and said “I’m excited for my baby to be born white” people might think that was a bit odd.

Jessica Alba has said that she will speak nothing but Spanish when her baby is born later this year, because she regretted not picking up the language of her grandparents when she was a child. She revealed that her father only spoke English to her and her brother because he wanted them to become model Americans.

It took her years to master basic Spanish because of this.

She says, “I wish to God that my dad spoke Spanish to my brother and me, but he didn’t grow up with it.”

Now, Alba is committed to mastering Spanish so she can speak the language to her baby. She adds, “Hopefully I can pick it up because I want my kids to speak Spanish. I don’t even want them to speak English for maybe the first two to three years, until pre-school. We’re in the United States so they’re going to learn it anyway.”

Alba admits her inability to speak Spanish when she first became a star didn’t go down well with fellow Latinos. She explains, “I got shunned (and) it made me feel really bad, like maybe I’m not (a Latino).”

Miley Cyrus is crushing the box office competition! She beat out Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria Parker at the box office.

Despite opening on just 683 screens, her concert flick Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour raked in $29 million, nabbing the No. 1 spot at the box office.

By comparison, Jessica Alba’s horror flick The Eye, which opened on four times as many screens, netted $13 million. Eva Longoria Parker’s comedy Over Her Dead Body opened on less than 2,000 theaters, earning a paltry $4.6 million.

“Miley is the hottest entertainer in America,” says Us movie critic, Thelma Adams. “She’s got music, movie and TV appeal — she’s a triple threat!”

Meanwhile, Longoria Parker “is still seen as a Desperate Housewife,” Adams says. “She cannot sell a movie, and doesn’t have a film career yet.”

And despite Alba’s recent misfires — her last bomb Good Luck Chuck only made about $35 million — Adams says, “I don’t think you can judge Jessica Alba by this. She’s very charming and appeals both to men and women. She just has to pick good projects.”
