Girls Aloud beauty Nadine Coyle dumped her boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe for having a fling with another girl.

Desperate Housewives romeo Jesse, 28, was spotted strolling hand-in-hand with the mystery brunette and sharing a passionate (does that look passionate?) embrace. (Pics below)

It left Nadine, 21, heartbroken after she had loyally stuck by him just weeks ago during his rehab booze battle.

She blasted: “It’s over between Jesse and me. I’m not the kind of girl to put up with nonsense like that. I’ll meet the right person when the time is right. I’m disappointed but what can I do? There’s no point hanging on when it gets to this stage.”

Nadine – who dated Jesse for 15 months and was set to move to America to be with him – vowed to channel her energies into her career.

The pop star was yesterday in Henley-on-Thames, Oxon, filming the new St Trinian’s movie and has a summer tour.

She said: “I’m busy doing work with Girls Aloud, so I have plenty going on.”

Pictures of Jesse – hunky TV gardener John Rowland – and the girl in Los Angeles are a far cry from his declarations of love just weeks ago.

He claimed: “I’ve really changed as a person since I met Nadine. We’ve talked about moving in together and making a commitment.”

Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe could be following in the footsteps of Daniel Radcliffe by stripping off on stage.

It is rumoured Metcalfe, who is currently dating Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, will replace the Harry Potter actor in the London theatre production of Equus.

A source says, “We think Jesse is a massive…talent, and it would be great for him to make his West End debut Equus.” Metcalfe is currently fighting alcohol problems in a Los Angeles rehab facility.

On the heels of Britney Spears‘ release from the Promises clinic, Hollywood hunk Jesse Metcalfe checked himself in to an undisclosed rehab center for alcohol abuse this week, a rep for the star confirmed. This decision was made Monday, the day before Page Six broke the story of Metcalfe’s weekend-long binge at the Mondrian hotel in L.A., where sources reported he looked like he hadn’t slept in days and was acting “very angry” and “out of control.” Now, Metcalfe’s rep has sent us the following statement: “On Monday, March 19, Jesse Metcalfe entered a rehab facility to deal with alcohol issues. He realized he had a problem and was anxious to deal with it immediately. The actor, best known as the hunky gardener on the ABC show ‘Desperate Housewives’ and the star of the film ‘John Tucker Must Die,’ hopes that the media will allow him the privacy to deal properly with his treatment.”
