He’s like 12 years old, but I like the song.

Miley Cyrus was left red-faced after meeting pop hunk Jesse McCartney – because he was her first ever celebrity crush.
The Hannah Montana star became a huge fan of the singer when he was part of now defunct boyband Dream – and the star was the inspiration behind the first song the 15-year-old penned.
But Cyrus was left embarrassed after she was introduced to the McCartney shortly after moving to Hollywood, because he branded her lyrical tribute “cute”.
She says, “It was so embarrassing, when I first moved to Los Angeles, I had a crush on Jesse McCartney. In fact, the first song I ever wrote was about Jesse. He was on my show and I told him and he was like, ‘That’s so cute!’”
But Cyrus has now set her sights on a slightly more mature man.
She adds, “Orlando Bloom is gorgeous, but he’s a bit of a player.”

The songwriting superduo behind Leona Lewis’ smash hit Bleeding Love has given new American Idol winner David Cook a big boost by offering to write him a string of tunes.
Jesse McCartney and Ryan Tedder originally wrote Bleeding Love for MCCartney’s new album – but realised the song would be better sung by a woman, giving Lewis, the winner of British TV talent competition The X-Factor, a huge hit.
And now the duo hopes to do the same for another talent show victor.
McCartney says, “Ryan and I are planning to write some songs with him for his (Cook) album.”
Cook beat fellow finalist David Archuleta in the Idol finale on Wednesday.

Jesse McCartney’s new CD, Departure, which comes out on May 20, is filled with romantic tunes, but he’s a very single guy right now. The 20-year-old has joined the Jewish dating site jdate.com — even though he isn’t Jewish! “One of my best buddies is a conservative Jew and his sister had met her boyfriend on JDate,” he explains. “I actually hadn’t heard of it before. He was like, ‘You should try JDate.’ There are a lot of different people of all religious backgrounds on that site. My screen name is jbagel07 and a lot of people see the pictures of me and say, ‘Who are you? Why are you pretending to be Jesse McCartney?’ And I say, ‘It’s me — I just decided to meet somebody online.’ And they’re still like, ‘Why are you doing it?’ I have to admit I have a pretty cheesy profile — I just had fun with it.” Jesse is still nursing a broken heart over his split with David Cassidy’s daughter, Katie.
