If actor Jeremy Piven thought that his celebrity smile was going to get him out of a traffic ticket yesterday, he was very wrong. While cruising in Los Angeles, cop cited Piven for what the Entourage star claims was a registration issue and then said, “there’s no problem actually.”

The cop wouldn’t give the goods on why the actor was really ticketed, and when he was asked if Piven was the most famous star that he’d ever pulled over, the officer claimed that he didn’t even know who Jeremy Piven was!

It seems like it’s being reported that everyone is looking to replace Charlie Sheen, but the latest actor to have his name tossed in the pool is Jeremy Piven.

A source told RadarOnline:

“Jeremy is a great actor and a hot commodity, his name has come up a couple of times in talks about who, if anybody, could step into Charlie’s shoes.[...]No one connected in any way with Jeremy knows anything about this and that would include Jeremy.”

Well, a good start to having Jeremy replace Charlie is…well…telling Jeremy about it.

Charlie hasn’t been crying about losing his job, even with the $100,000,000 lawsuit he’s filed against Warner Bros., he never has said he wants his job back.

“I’m just dying for that first phone call from dude, from whoever he is, whoever my replacement is, going ‘Oh my God you weren’t lying, man! This is toxic. I must run immediately.’”

How toxic? I know quite a few people who will put up with Hollywood attitudes for $2million an episode. Just sayin’.

Jeremy Piven had nothing but good words for his So Undercover co-star Miley Cyrus!

He said that he had a really good time filming with her in New Orleans, despite there being a 27-year age difference between them.

“I think I must be an 18-year-old girl because we got along really well,” Piven told E! News while promoting his new drama I Melt With You at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. “It was just so much fun. I had so much fun with her and we had great chemistry. It was really really weird — we’re like polar opposites.”

Though Cyrus has had her fair share of controversies recently — she was caught smoking salvia out of a bong on November 28 — Piven insists the Hannah Montana star has a good head on her shoulders.

“You know, you can judge her, but what were you doing when you were 18?” he asked. “She’s kind of amazing. There’s something so incredibly refreshing about someone who is exactly who they are. There’s nothing pretentious about her. She’s this force. She loves to laugh.”

The Entourage star Jeremy Piven lost the Golden Globe to Dexter’s John Lithgow last night, but he may have landed an even better prize.

Gorgeous Mad Men star January Jones, whose show won for best TV drama (see her on the red carpet), was openly flirting with the recovering sushi eater at the HBO party at Circa 55.

Later that night, they were photographed leaving Chateau Marmont arm-in-arm.
