Jenny McCarthy writes for The Chicago Sun Times? When did that happen? Apparently the author has a blogging gig at the newspaper, and her first post is exactly what you would think it would be. She predictably advises on how to spice up the bedroom if you’re in a monogamous relationship. She advises on lube, alcohol and role playing. I mean, why not?

How in the heck can anyone stay interested in having sex with the same person for years? Being a serial monogamist, I will admit to having to force down a few drinks to even get in the mood after being in a long relationship. Is this normal? I have no idea, but based on what everyone tells me, it’s common. So what are we supposed to do about it?

When I asked my mom about it she said, “It’s our duty to do the deed.” Really, Mom? Our duty? Blah. I want to know how to keep it hot so it doesn’t feel like adeed.

After talking to my friends who have been married for almost fifteen years I gathered their notes and thought I would offer them to you. First of all, its not always going to be hot. Boredom is inevitable but being able to come up with ideas to spice it up helps keep it interesting. The number one response was to have a date night with alcohol. They all said it helps them unwind and get a little dirtier than usual. The second suggestion was porn. I certainly can’t see my mom using that one, so I’ll jump to the next one, which was to take a trip to Vegas. For some reason us Midwesterners really know how to live it up in Vegas; with sexiness everywhere you turn, it can easily put you in the mood. The next one on the list was to get some great lube. Sex tarts is the best. Who said that? Not me! I’m also not telling you that watermelon is the best flavor. Okay, moving on.

The last one they came up with was to learn how to love your man all over again. There’s no better aphrodisiac than loving your partner. Think about what made you hot for him/her in the first place and connect to those feelings. But if all else fails, just imagine Bradley Cooper on top of you — that should do the trick.

Jenny McCarthy sure does like to tease…

Especially in her new book, Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic! McCarthy recounts some very steamy playmate sessions where she trys getting it on with women and also (gasp) experiments with drugs!  An excerpt reads:

“Holding up drugs in front of a group of Playmates was like holding up an arm to a cannibal tribe.We jumped on the box fighting to get as many little white capsules as possible. Instead of saving some for later, we all pounded at least five at once. It was incredibly intense. So much so that we all began to express love for one another by making out with each other. I can only imagine the shock [one random man] was in seeing that he was the only man on the beach with fourteen really f***ed up Playmates who just happened to also be making out with each other.”

Jenny also describes how she became a marijuana and shrooms expert before even getting into college. She also needed a Vicodin detox at one point in her life! I mean, we all kinda figured there was a little hanky panky and probably a health drug culture in the halls of Playboy, no? Still, Jenny is kinda…bearing all. But we expect that from her, at this point…

Need I remind you…Jenny McCarthy is a MOM.  Ahhh!  I feel so old. And, kinda gross…

Jenny McCarthy has released a new book about the good and evil aspects of her life, titled ‘Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic.’

Jenny came out yesterday in New York to sign copies of her new book.

In the book, McCarthy describes her upbringing in a devout Catholic family on the south side of Chicago.

‘I was taught to believe that my goal in life was to do good things so that I could ensure my place in heaven,’ writes the model and actress in a publicity piece for the Chicago Sun-Times.

‘So, it was only logical in my young innocent mind that I should become a nun – and guarantee my spot to hang out with Jesus and his buddies.’

It was only when she discovered that nuns do not have children that Jenny decided to change course with her intended career, she said.

‘I knew in my soul that even though I wanted to go to heaven, I yearned to be a mom more than anything in the world.

‘Even though I didn’t become a nun and have done my fair share of sinning, I’ve come to realize that you can still fight for justice and truth without having to wear a habit. I just chose to wear a push-up bra instead.

‘Some people might call me a sinner and blame me for my Bad Habits, but I prefer to look at myself like a student in this awesome school called life.’

McCarthy has a 10-year-old son Evan, from her former marriage to actor/director John Asher.

She also dated A-lister Jim Carrey between 2005 and 2010.

I’m not a huge Jenny McCarthy fan. I probably won’t be reading her new book, not that I’ve read any of her other books. When she’s toned down and talking like an adult, I actually don’t mind her. But all this crazy weird face stuff gets on my nerves.

Jenny McCarthy’s highly-anticipated Playboy cover has finally been released.

The 39-year-old appears on her SIXTH Playboy cover, and seventh pictorial appears in the July/August issue. Jenny says she’s happy to represent older women in the magazine.  “Why should 20-year-old girls be the only ones that are considered desirable?” the blonde said in a statement. “MILFs are sexy, too!”

She adds that her sex life is getting better with age also.  WARNING: TMI….”This point in my life has been the most fun, sexual extravaganza,” she told the mag. “The orgasms are night-and-day better. I feel 100 billion times more sexual, and that comes out in this pictorial.”

Adding, “There’s room for guys to be attracted to strong females, but I still feel like the girl next door.”

The star’s 8-page nude pictorial – shot by photographer Steve Shaw – will be featured in the mag’s July/August 2012 double issue available on June 29.

Jenny first appeared as Playboy’s Miss October in 1993. She went on to become the magazine’s 1994 Playmate of the Year and appeared in the men’s magazine four more times (July 1996, December 1996, September 1997, and January 2005).

Jenny claims the pictures are “classy”:

“I’m really proud of it,” McCarthy tells PEOPLE. “The pictures are really gorgeous and classy. They could be out of W magazine. They’re really elegant. It’s probably a lot more sophisticated than a lot of the stuff you’d see of people with their clothes on.”

Prepping for the shoot didn’t take much effort for the TV personality.

“The one thing I like about Playboy is they don’t have the anorexic look,” she says. “The women are voluptuous. So I didn’t really want to diet. I just wanted to tone up.”

I’ve seen the pictures. They don’t look like something out of W Magazine, call me crazy.

Though Jenny McCarthy’s son, Evan, isn’t Carrey’s biologically, it’s almost like they were a family.

McCarthy slammed Carrey on Howard Stern’s show because Carrey won’t see Evan. She also says that her son misses Carrey “almost weekly,” and would love for Carrey to be in his life.

Evan, who suffers from autism, is in therapy for dealing with his fractured family.  His biological father is McCarthy’s ex, John Mallory Asher.  Asher isn’t really involved in Evan’s life, either.

Says McCarthy:

“I still love [Carrey]. I think you can love people from a distance and respect him. But as a mother, you just hope when you have a relationship with someone it has nothing to do with the child when you break up…I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I shared together. I will continue to be in his daughter’s life and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.”

They were together for five years! That’s got to hurt everyone.

Wow, she looks stunning!! In other Jenny news, the actress opened up today about her new dating show, and her new boyfriend.

The actress/host/model discussed her new dating/reality show, “Love in the Wild” (which she describes as “‘Survivor’ meets ‘The Bachelor’ meets ‘Fear Factor’”) and her eighth book, “Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic” Tuesday. Jenny said she likes helping strangers find happiness, and that she may have finally found true love herself (she’s dating Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher).

And because she’s so very irrepressible, she also discussed the vagaries of posing nude at 40 for Playboy.

“Did you show everything?” gasped Hoda.

“Well, not everything,” said Jenny, before discussing some very intimate waxing details that probably should not be repeated.

If any TV host was going to out-Kathie-Lee Kathie Lee, it was probably going to be her.
