Jenny McCarthy is putting Charlie Sheen on blast for allegedly keeping his HIV-positive diagnosis from people of whom he was having sex. She played the role of Courtney on Two And A Half Men and was a love interest of Charlie’s character. She was displeased that she played his love interest on the show, but wasn’t made aware of his condition.
She talked about his revelation on her SiriusXM radio show on Wednesday. She said, “The thing that I think, also, in the acting world…before doing a job, we have to sign papers that say, ‘Do you have cold sores?’ and you have to sign a release that says, ‘Yes, I have cold sores,’ and you have to show the medication.”
She went on to say, “If I have to be so upfront about a herpe, how could you not be upfront about HIV? I look back and I think, ‘Okay, that could’ve been valuable information.’ Look at how many people have played his love interest on the show.”
She added, “Playing even his love interest on the show, back in the day, I go, ‘Ick! That’s not fair. It’s scary.’ I have sympathy for him because, you know, he’s sick and it’s awful, but man, he’s going to have to take some major accountability with many people in his life.”
His manager has already issued a response to her comments saying that Charlie “was infected long after he left Two And A Half Men and long after he worked with Jenny.”
