Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson has hit back at American Idol judge Simon Cowell, comparing her experience on the talent show to working at Burger King. Hudson – who was a contestant on the show in 2004 – was rejected and tipped for failure by Cowell. When she went onto Oscar success through her role in Dreamgirls, Cowell accused Hudson of failing to appreciate the “big opportunity” her appearance on the show offered her. But Best Supporting Actress Hudson snaps back, “If I’d been any better at my job when I was at Burger King in my middle teens I wouldn’t be here either, so should I thank them too?”
Wow…what an idiot! How do you compare BK and American Idol? What a dumbass. Haha, remember that pink dress she wore on AI – and how much crap Simon gave her for it? Apparently her sister made it or something…but when I saw that picture, I couldn’t help but post it.

Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson may have walked away with gold, but according to the actress (and many critics), her red carpet style was anything but award-winning.
In a Today Show interview, the 25-year-old American Idol alum admitted to Matt Lauer on Tuesday that her outfit was her only Oscar regret – adding fuel to a Page Six report that Hudson was forced to wear the much-maligned metallic bolero jacket picked by her stylist, Vogue editor Andre Leon Tally.
“Jennifer was kind of sponsored by Talley and Vogue,” snitches a Page Six source. “Andre insisted she wear that hideous Oscar de la Renta dress with the awful, awful gold python bolero. “Jennifer really didn’t want to, and so [noted celebrity stylist] Jessica Paster got her a beautiful gold Roberto Cavalli custom-made. But when Andre found out, he went ballistic. Moments before she left for the show, there was a power struggle and Jennifer ended up putting his outfit on.”

Jennifer Hudson has won Golden Globe and SAG awards – and is up for an Oscar – for her role in Dreamgirls – despite what she describes as an abusive experience on American Idol.
“On American Idol, you go through this mental thing; you’ve got to get yourself back together. You’ve been abused, misled and brainwashed to believe whatever they want you to think,” Hudson, 25, tells the new issue of Essence.
“You become a character – I became the girl in the turkey wrapping.” (On one episode, she wore an unflattering outfit that earned that label.) “I just knew I had to sing my way out of it. I don’t believe in looking back, and I didn’t look back.”
Hudson also dismisses rumors that there was tension on the Dreamgirls set between herself and costar Beyoncé Knowles. “We clicked from day one,” she says.
She says she, Knowles and their fellow Dreamgirl Anika Noni Rose bonded over the fact that they’re all Virgos, and all have a mole in the same spot on the left side of their necks.
“It’s amazing to me that God took three different women from three different walks of life and created the Dreamgirls,” Hudson says. “We were meant to be together. When you look at us, you see it’s all connected. I’m loving Beyoncé.”
Knowles has also dismissed feud rumors, telling reporters in December: “It’s really unfortunate that everyone is saying I’m jealous of Jennifer. … Because I’m a star they just automatically assume that I’m not humble enough to sit down and take a back seat, which I am.”
