Jennifer Hudson is still out promoting her new book: “I Got This : How I Changed My Ways, Found Myself, and Lost What Weighed Me Down”.  Here she is at a book signing in Chicago at Barnes & Noble sporting some funky polka dotted tights.

I was only going to share the one photo, but as I looked through the set, I noticed just how expressive Jennifer’s face is and it cracked me up.  Take a look at the gallery shots.

30-year-old Jennifer Hudson showed up at the VH1 Divas show last night looking….. out of this world? Tell me it doesn’t look like a Battlestar Gallactica costume? I hate the dress, I hate the boots – I hate the whole look! I think her new body looks amazing, but it might be time to hire a better stylist!

She’s reportedly lost over 80lbs – which is pretty amazing, congrats!

Jennifer Hudson may by slimming down her figure but she surely is beefing up her digs. The award-winning singer and actress just made the purchase of a lifetime: a nearly $6million, 12,000 square foot, six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion in the suburbs of her hometown of Chicago.

The property also features:

“…a heated garage, a theatre and two laundry rooms, according to Zillow.com.

“It also comes with a luxurious kitchen space, a finished walk-out basement and cherry hardwood floors. There is also a large dining area, big lounge, a music room with grand piano and a games room.”

I think that will be certainly enough space for the singer, her fiance David Otunga and their 2-year-old son, David Jr. It was only three years ago that Jennifer experienced the greatest tragedy of her life when her mother, brother, and nephew were all gunned down at her mother’s home in Chicago. Her sister’s estranged husband is now awaiting trial for the deaths of all three family members.

In a recent interview with Self magazine, actress and singer Jennifer Hudson discusses that first time she discovered she had a weight problem: in 2004 during American Idol.

“I didn’t even know I was considered plus-sized until I came to Hollywood. I thought I was the perfect size!”

That changed on a red carpet, when “an interviewer asked, ‘How does it feel to be plus-sized in Hollywood?’ I looked around, like, Who is she talking to? Oh, me? I’m plus-sized? In the neighborhood I’m from in Chicago, a 16 is normal. But in Hollywood, everyone looks exactly the same, so I stood out.”

Hudson decided to take action when she was pregnant with her now 2-year-old son, David.

“I thought, hold on – why doesn’t anybody know I’m pregnant? And I wanted to set a good example for my son.”

She says portion control and exercise helped her shed the pounds, going from a 16 to a 6, losing 80 pounds. She said:

“I’m prouder of my weight loss than my Oscar!”

Earlier today on The View, Joy Behar shared that on a shopping recently she ran into singer Jennifer Hudson, and Joy claims that she overheard the salesperson in the store tell Jennifer that she’s a size zero.

“How does that feel?” Joy said she asked the Windy City native, who told her, “I feel like they’re talking to someone else.”

Jennifer went from a size 16 to now, reportedly a zero, and the actress has been the official spokesperson for Weight Watchers since April 2010.

In January, she told USA Today, “Instead of saying I lost this or that, I [say I] feel like I gained 10 years of my youth back. I look 10 years younger. People say to me, ‘You have Jennifer Hudson’s face. Are you her little sister?’”

Earlier this summer, she told told People Stylewatch: “I go into the store and they try to put me in 4s and 6s and I’m like, ‘Who are you trying to talk to?’ My mind hasn’t caught up yet … I didn’t expect to go as far as I did.”

In the video for her new lovesick tune, ‘No One Gonna Love You,’ Hudson is disappointed by her boyfriend’s lack of interest in their relationship but she can’t seem to let him go, lamenting, “I’ve been through some things. Ain’t no one gonna love you like I love you.”

But the 29-year-old singer doesn’t look any worse for the emotional wear. She’s showing off her dramatic weight loss success in a white tank, tuxedo vest and flattering black trousers — only after she begins the video in sexy lingerie. But a killer video wardrobe isn’t the only thing that’s got Hudson singing, her new turn marks the first time she’s gotten to move to her music.

“This is the first time that I’ve had the chance to dance,” she told Rap-Up. “It was probably the part I anticipated the most and I actually had a lot of fun. I thought I accomplished it. You be the judge.”
