The marriage license has been filed – as People first reported last month – but Kelly Rowland is still playing coy when it comes to Beyoncé Knowles’ hush-hush wedding to Jay-Z.

The singer – a founding member of Destiny’s Child – was in London Wednesday night promoting her remix album, Miss Kelly: Diva Deluxe.

But she could not be tempted to discuss her BFF’s April 4 wedding, which she attended.

“I just spoke to Beyoncé last night, and she is very happy,” said Rowland, who is already hard at work on her third solo album.

So married life is treating Knowles well? “How do you know there’s been a wedding?” she replied playfully. “This is something you need to ask Beyoncé and Jay.”

Coldplay’s Chris Martin has spoken out in defense of the decision to choose Jay-Z as a Glastonbury headliner.

The singer told BBC Radio 1 that he could not understand why the rapper was causing such controversy.

Jay-Z’s scheduled appearance on the Pyramid Stage on June 28th has attracted much criticism, with some people even blaming him for slow ticket sales.

However, Martin, who along with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow was a guest at Jay-Z’s recent wedding to Beyonce, has stated that he thinks the performance will be exactly what the festival needs.

“We recently came back to England to find all this all this hoo-hah, grandpas complaining about things they don’t know about,” he continued.

“Coldplay not playing and Jay-Z playing is exactly what needs to happen for the world. He’s the best rapper in the world.”

He even went so far as to call the rapper, whose hits include 99 Problems, “the best musician on the planet”.

Chris’s wife Gwyneth has also spoken out in defence of her musician pal, saying that he will “knock it out of the park”.

Beyonce Knowles has finally flashed a wedding ring to fans, four days after marrying Jay-Z in secret.

The couple has refused to speak about their wedding ceremony, which took place in Westchester, New York on Friday, followed by a reception at the rapper’s downtown New York apartment.

Jay-Z added to the confusion on Monday when he was photographed without a wedding ring.

But concertgoers at the rapper’s concert in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday night spotted an impressive gem on Knowles’ left ring finger, as she partied with pal Usher in the V.I.P. area.

Rapper Jay-Z was spotted walking in New York City without a wedding ring on Monday, just three days after he reportedly married his longtime love Beyonce Knowles.

However, when a video cameraman for website TMZ.com congratulated Jay-Z on getting married, the hip-hop superstar replied, “Thanks, man.”

The couple’s representatives have yet to confirm the wedding took place.

It has been widely reported Jay-Z and Knowles exchanged vows on Friday evening and then threw a lavish party at the rapper’s TriBeCa apartment in New York.

Mary J. Blige has become the first celebrity to comment on tour mate Jay-Z’s top secret wedding on Friday night, publicly congratulating the rapper and his bride, Beyonce Knowles.

The R+B star took the stage for a Heart of The City tour stop in North Carolina on Saturday night, and simply couldn’t contain her excitement.

She said, “Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B,” before starting her set with You’re All I Need.

Jay-Z made no mention of his new marital status during his set.

After years of speculation, singer Beyoncé Knowles wed her longtime boyfriend, rapper Jay-Z, on Friday, a friend of the couple tells People.

Though there is no official confirmation, the friend says, “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”

The ceremony was followed by a lavish party at the rapper’s Tribeca apartment that drew Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny’s Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow (pictured above trying to hide her face).

The wedding buzz began when the couple went to get a marriage license at a village hall in Scarsdale, N.Y., on Tuesday.

DJ Cassidy, a favorite of Jay-Z, was hired to spin. “Cassidy mentioned a week ago that he was really excited for the Jay Z and Beyoncé’s wedding party to happen,” says the friend.

Early Friday morning, workers erected a white tent atop the building in Tribeca, where Jay-Z owns a penthouse apartment. Not long after, an SUV carrying what seemed to be AV equipment arrived, followed by deliveries of party rentals and flowers.

A source tells People that Amy’s Orchids was hired to provide 50,000 to 60,000 white orchid blooms from Thailand for a “big party.” At the apartment, waiters were seen practicing their service.

A couple since 2002, Jay-Z, 38, and Knowles, 26, always kept quiet about their relationship, even as they were photographed together on romantic holidays around the world.

Still, marriage seemed to be in the cards – eventually. “I never pictured myself as a bride,” she told Cosmopolitan in January 2006, “but after my sister’s wedding, I did start thinking about what kind of wedding I’d want. I don’t think I want a big one.”
