The pregnancy rumors have been on overdrive since the release of these pictures from the set of the new Pirates movie. This morning, Penelope’s rep confirmed to ET that she is, in fact pregnant. 4 1/2 months pregnant!

Penelope, 36, married Javier Bardem, 41, this past July in the Bahamas.

Penelope is currently in Puerto Rico where she’s filming the fourth Pirates of Carribean movie with Johnny Depp.

Last night, Penélope’s rep confirmed she and Javier quietly married at a friend’s house in the Bahamas this month. It was an intimate affair, with only close family present. Penélope wore a dress designed by John Galliano.

A movie insider tells Life & Style that the couple wanted to get married before their baby arrives next year.

The Spanish actress is currently filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth installment of the franchise, in the Bahamas. She’s playing the feisty daughter of Blackbeard played by Ian McShane, the nemesis of Johnny Depp’s character, Jack Sparrow. “There’s a little romance between [Depp's] Captain Jack and the character that Penélope plays,” producer Jerry Bruckheimer said recently.

Together since 2007, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have tied the knot, her rep tells UsMagazine.com.

The two wed in a small ceremony, attended only by close family members, earlier this month at a friend’s house in the Bahamas.

Cruz, 36, wore a John Galliano gown.

“He’s a friend and the best actor in the world,” she once told reporters of her Vicky Cristina Barcelona costar.

She has mostly been mum about their relationship.

Last year, when David Letterman tried to grill her about Bardem, she replied: “I don’t feel comfortable talking about my private life in public … I’ve been here a few times with you, you know I’m tough. One thing I don’t do, I don’t lie about my personal life. It’s sacred to me. It’s my life. But I don’t give details about it because I am allergic to that.”
