It’s a boy for Jason Priestley and his wife of four years, Naomi Lowde-Priestley!
The couple welcomed their second child – and first son – on Thursday in Los Angeles, his rep tells the Associated Press. They also have a 2-year-old daughter, Ava.
Further details, including a name and weight, were not released.
Rumors that their baby-on-the-way was a boy began circulating after Priestley and his wife shopped for blue-colored items at the Silver Spoon Dog & Baby Buffet in May; That clue, however slight, was about all the couple were willing to share.
Earlier, the former 90210 star, 39, said he was trying to keep details of the pregnancy “on the down low.”
The pregnancy was announced in April.

Jason Priestley and wife Naomi Lowde are expecting their second child, their rep confirms to Usmagazine.com exclusively.
Lowde showed off her growing bump during a weekend shopping trip to Tiffany & Co.
The couple welcomed daughter Ava Veronica on July 2, 2007. Us Weekly named Priestley one of Hollywood’s sexiest dads that same year.”I love being a father. It’s totally ineffable,” he told ABC News Now’s What’s the Buzz shortly after Ava’s birth. “I love changing diapers. I love the whole thing — I’m all in.”
He and Lowde said they didn’t want to hire a nanny to help raise Ava.
“The time we’re going to get to spend with our daughter actually being an infant is so short that I really want to have that time with her,” Priestley said. “The fractured sleep that you get, the whole experience — I really want have it all and soak it in.”
The 90210 star (who is currently directing a few episodes of the CW spinoff) met Lowde, a makeup artist, in London in 2001. The following year, she helped him recover from a near-fatal race car accident at the Kentucky Speedway, in which he crashed into a wall head on.
They said “I Do” in a 1940s-themed wedding on The Bahamas’ Paradise Island in May 2005. Former costars Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Tiffani Thiessen and Ian Ziering were among the 120 guests.

Beverly Hills’ original side-burned heartthrob is back! Sort of. Jason Priestley has agreed to do an episode of The CW’s 90210 later this season, but you won’t see him — he’ll be behind the camera, working as a director. Sources confirm to EW.com’s Michael Ausiello exclusively that Priestley will helm this season’s 18th episode, which is slated to air this spring.
Meanwhile, a 90210 insider also reveals that Priestley’s TV sis, Shannen Doherty, is nearing a deal to return for two more episodes later this season. Executive producer Gabe Sachs would only confirm that she’s “in talks,” but my 90210 spy insists “she’s coming back. The deal isn’t officially done, but it’s happening.”
Might one of Doherty’s two episodes be the Priestley-directed installment? Sachs says that’s TBD. “I think it would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his [former 90210 costars], and it would also add something special to that episode,” he says. “But we don’t know whether that will happen yet.”
A more likely scenario has Priestley bossing around his other leading lady, Jennie Garth, who’s back for at least six episodes — despite what the actress herself told Ausiello at EW’s pre-Emmy party last month. “That was a misunderstanding,” whispers a source.

Jason Priestley has refuted reports he will be returning to Beverly Hills, 90210 in the new spin-off series.
Filming is currently underway to bring the show back to small screens, with stars Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling among the actors reprising their original roles.
But Priestley, who played hunk Brandon Walsh in the TV series, insists he has declined offers from The CW to appear in the new show.
He says, “I think I sort of ran the gamut with Brandon – 249 episodes. I think Brandon did his time.”
But the 38-year-old claims he hasn’t turned down working behind the scenes, and would love to direct a few of the new episodes.
He adds, “They’re talking to my people about seeing if they can slot me in over there. I directed more episodes of 90210 than anybody. I directed 18 episodes.”

Former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jason Priestly is desperate to reprise his role in the remake of the hit series – but fears he will not be asked.
The 38-year-old actor – who played Brandon Walsh in the popular TV series – has discussed an appearance in the remake with Momlogic.com in New York.
But Priestley fears he will be overlooked.
He says, “They haven’t contacted me about doing anything yet. But if it’s the right thing, I’m certainly open to it. I loved working on that show. I loved everything I did on that show. I had so many jobs on that show, I loved it so.”
