Janet Jackson has been hospitalized, a rep said Monday.

The singer “got suddenly ill during the sound check” before her concert in Montreal and had to be rushed to the hospital, according to a statement released by W&W Public Relations.

Jackson, 42, is being monitored at the hospital, and hopes to reschedule the show.

No further information was given about Jackson’s condition.

That may not be a product—yet—but the R&B diva is taking a page from Jennifer Lopez’s empire-expanding book and has announced plans to launch Pleasure Principle, her own line of lingerie, come November.

This way she’ll have no one to blame for a wardrobe malfunction but herself.

“People have come to me with other ideas, but lingerie is a passion for me, and just like music and acting, I can’t do it unless I put 100 percent into it,” Jackson said.

Jackson’s 14-design line of underpinnings, crafted mainly from satin and lace and heavy on feminine details, will be available in department stores and mass retailers this fall, with each piece priced at under $40.

“It makes you feel incredible and offers variety as diverse as the women who will wear it,” Jackson said of the line, named after her 1987 hit.

The line itself was made in conjunction with Australian lingerie designer Bruno Schiavi, the same man behind the launch of Dr. 90210 doc Robert Rey’s line, Dr. Rey’s Shapewear.

After making its U.S. debut this fall, the line will launch in Australia, Japan and Europe, with the Jackson-Schiavi team looking ahead to more collaborations in the future.

Along with its focus on prettiness, however, the Pleasure Principle line has also taken some pains to ensure comfort.

“There’s something for every woman, and that’s very important to us,” Jackson said. “I’ve always hated when lingerie is uncomfortable, so the fit and comfort was key.”

In other words, those holding out for her line of nipple shields may have to wait for phase two.

Janet Jackson is turning her attention to fashion design – she’s to launch her own line of lingerie.

The Nasty hitmaker, who is known for her provocative dress sense, made the announcement at the Versace menswear show on Saturday during Milan Fashion Week in Italy.

And while she remained coy about specific details, she did tell reporters: “I’m working on it.”

The underwear range is due to hit stores later this year.

Janet Jackson might feel “allergic to marriage,” but the pop star is ready to have a baby, says longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri.

“Yeah, soon,” Dupri told People Sunday at a dinner party hosted by New Era and Belvedere Vodka at West Hollywood’s STK restaurant. “Right after the tour.” (Jackson, 42, recently announced she’ll be on the road this fall.)

The producer – who has a daughter, Shaniah, from a previous relationship – is so excited to start a family with Jackson, he doesn’t even care if it’s a boy or a girl.

“It really doesn’t matter,” he explained at the even honoring rapper Nelly. “Janet would be a great mom. She was around so many brothers and sisters all her life, so she’s got to know what that is [like]. And her mom is a great mother.”

According to Dupri, Jackson is also a great companion. “The greatest thing in life is just to have a friend,” he said. “When I have problems in life, I share them with her. When she has a problem, she comes to me.”
