With less than three months left before she becomes a mom, Jamie Lynn Spears is living it up — shopping, hanging out with her friends and behaving like any other normal teenage girl.

Even though the paparazzi have invaded her hometown of Kentwood, La., Jamie Lynn seems to have a better handle on them than her big sis, Britney Spears, did. “She has such a level head on her. She is handling this situation with a maturity that is surprising even her own family,” a friend of the Zoey 101 star says.

On March 9th, Jamie Lynn attended a local baseball game. A few days later she went on a coffee run with a girlfriend, and on March 13th, she hit up one of her favorite local shops, Connie’s Jewelry & Gifts, for a few trinkets. “She’s behaving like a pretty normal teen,” the friend says. “She’s not even worried about how much weight she puts on or doing any special exercises. At her age, her body will bounce right back and she knows it.”

As far as her relationship with her sister is concerned, the friend says that Britney and Jamie Lynn talk at least every couple of weeks, and are working to re-establish the closeness they once had.

Miley Cyrus has admitted that she cried after finding out good friend Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant.

The two teen sensations are good friends having both worked on their respected shows Hannah Montana and Zoey 101.

However, the younger sister of Britney Spears had her program canceled due to the pregnancy scandal.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Miley reveals: “When I first heard she was pregnant, I started crying. I was heartbroken to tell you the truth because she’s my friend and I didn’t want her life to change.

“But now she’s actually getting really excited and even though it’s a difficult situation, I’m happy for her now because she’s happy that she made the choices she did.”

The 15-year old also claims that she won’t be following in the same footsteps at Jamie Lynn’s troubled older sister Britney.

“Well, I’m aware that things can happen,” she says. “But I keep my friends and family superclose and that really helps.”

Jamie Lynn Spears is coming to primetime.

The pregnant Zoey 101 star will appear in an episode of the ABC comedy, Miss Guided, premiering March 20 (8 p.m. ET). Judy Greer stars in the sitcom, playing a formerly awkward high school student who returns to her alma mater all grown up — and as a guidance counselor. Spears will appear in the premiere episode, called “Hot Sub,” as Mandy Ferner, a troubled student who gets some exciting news from college, according to ABC.

The show will also feature another big guest star: Ashton Kutcher, who executive-produced the sitcom, will play the titular hot sub — a Spanish teacher and a possible romantic interest for Greer’s character.

As a midseason addition to the schedule, Miss Guided was filmed in October after Spears wrapped Zoey 101 — but before the young actress announced her pregnancy.

Sources confirm to PageSix.com that Jamie Lynn Spears is carrying a baby boy!

The Nickelodeon star’s big sis Britney was spotted grabbing gifts for the new little guy at luxe baby boutique Petit Tresor in West Hollywood. PageSix.com has learned that the shop will outfit her nursery as well.

The junior starlet has set her sights on an ocean theme for her unborn son’s first bedroom, and has purchased around $7,000 of “very basic” furniture.

The room will feature classic pieces like a round crib, standard changing table and an armoire, all in white.

“This is the most fun I’ve had shopping in a long time,” Jamie Lynn said, according to our spies.

MSNBC reports that Brit picked up organic blankies from Robbie Adrian ($116 each), favorites of stars like Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Lopez.

It’s lot of shopping for a girl who should have ample hand-me-downs from big sis Britney, mom to two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James. When will grandma Lynn get a break from the Y chromosome?

Britney Spears’ family have been rocked by another scandal - pregnant teen Jamie Lynn’s own birth was reportedly unplanned, and her father demanded a paternity test to make sure he was the baby’s daddy.

As big sister Britney battles bipolar disorder and 16-year-old Jamie Lynn prepares to become a young mom, the girls’ uncle has come forward with another past family secret. William Spears claims “history is repeating itself” - because Jamie Lynn wasn’t planned.

The relative tells In Touch magazine that the young actress’ father Jamie was concerned when his wife Lynne announced she was pregnant - because he had had a vasectomy after the couple’s second child, Britney.

Uncle Willie says, “Jamie got awfully mad. He said it couldn’t be his.”

William Spears alleges his big brother then demanded a DNA test that proved he was the baby’s biological father. He adds, “That’s why they named her Jamie Lynn, to kind of make the point that she was from both of them.”

The youngest Spears daughter stunned the world when she announced she was pregnant with boyfriend Casey Aldridge’s child in December.

Out of the spotlight after revealing her pregnancy, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is moving ahead with her life, passing her GED and thinking about college, a family friend said.

The Zoey 101 star passed her high school equivalency exam about a month ago – scoring particularly well on reading comprehension – and is looking to take the ACT college entrance test, the friend says.

“She’s already got her diploma,” according to the friend. “She wants to take her ACT. She’s not wasting any time. People don’t know her. When she gets something in her head, she’ll make it happen. Everybody is so supportive of her.”

Last month, Britney’s younger sister was photographed in Hammond, La., carrying a GED book. She was accompanied by her mom Lynne outside a building that houses both the Tangipahoa Parish School System Adult Education Center, which is a GED preparation site, and the Title I Parent Center, which teaches parents how to help their children develop learning skills.
