I found this new photoshoot of James McAvoy today, and I can’t tell if I think he’s hot or not. I think after I see his new movie Atonement I’ll think he’s much better looking. What do you guys think?
Don’t know who he is? His past movies include: The Chronicles of Narnia, The Last King of Scotland, Becoming Jane or his upcoming movie Atonement with Keira Knightly. Well, for that matter – he looks pretty good in Wanted, his new movie with Angelina Jolie.

UPDATE: Not that it matters – but I didn’t realize he was married! He is married to actress Anne-Marie Duff (9 years his senior). They married in October 2006. They met while filming “Shameless”.

Based upon Mark Millar’s explosive graphic novel series and helmed by stunning visualist director Timur Bekmambetov — creator of the most successful Russian film franchise in history, the Night Watch series — Wanted tells the tale of one apathetic nobody’s transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice.
In 2008, the world will be introduced to a hero for a new generation: Wesley Gibson. 25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut.
Until he met a woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie). After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits Wes into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his dad’s death by unlocking his dormant powers.
As she teaches him how to develop lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, Wes discovers this team lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: carry out the death orders given by fate itself. With wickedly brilliant tutors—including the Fraternity’s enigmatic leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman)—Wes grows to enjoy all the strength he ever wanted.
But, slowly, he begins to realize there is more to his dangerous associates than meets the eye. And as he wavers between newfound heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one could ever teach him: he alone controls his destiny.

James McAvoy is being lined up to play late rock legend Kurt Cobain in a new movie. The ‘Atonement’ star is hotly-tipped to portray the Nirvana frontman, who committed= suicide in 1994, in a film about his life, which is due to be produced by Cobain’s widow Courtney Love.
A source said: “James is making a big impact in Hollywood at the moment. Hollywood bosses are convinced he is the perfect choice to play Kurt Cobain.”
The film will be largely based on Charles Cross’ biography ‘Heavier than Heaven’. Cobain’s unpublished journals will also be used to fill in personal details for the screenplay, which is being penned by ‘Troy’ writer David Benioff.
Cobain enjoyed massive success fronting Nirvana with bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl in the early 90s with hits like ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ and ‘Come As You Are’, but his life was dogged by depression and drug use.
He was just 27 when he shot himself, leaving behind Courtney and their daughter Frances Bean Cobain, now 16.
Keira Knightley’s Atonement costar, James McAvoy, says he’s sheepish at best when it comes to getting intimate in front of the cameras.
“It’s always a nightmare, isn’t it?” he said in a recent television interview. “It’s never easy and it’s always a little bit sweaty and uncomfortable.”
McAvoy, 28, appeared on Britain’s Michael Parkinson show to discuss his role in Atonement. In the film, Knightley, 22, plays Cecilia Tallis, an upper-class beauty who has an affair with the housekeeper’s son played by McAvoy.
The Scottish actor – whom Knightley called the best kisser ever – said he prefers directors to give specific instructions when filming sex scenes. And if they don’t, the situation can suddenly become a bit awkward.
“When they call action, if you feel the lady’s breast, it’s your decision to feel the lady’s breast. It’s like, this is wrong. You have no parameters,” he said.
“What was great about Atonement was Joe Wright [the director] was very, very, very on the ball with what he wanted, so when you were doing something it was at his behest.”
Still, McAvoy and Knightley felt the need to apologize for invading each other’s personal space after the steamy scenes. “We carried on and about 10 seconds later we just said very sheepishly, ‘Sorry about that.’”
Just a FYI, I had a advanced screening of this movie (Atonement) and it is WONDERFUL! The book is awesome and the movie was just beautiful. It goes right by the book pretty much! I say go see it December 9th!

Scottish actor James McAvoy is refusing to bow to Hollywood pressure to have his teeth fixed and whitened. The Last King Of Scotland star hates the over-preened celebrity look, and insists his normal features wins him more acting work.
He tells Esquire magazine, “Am I going to get my teeth fixed? Am I f**k! Only when they all fall out. I’m not devastatingly handsome, and I’m not devastatingly ugly, so I can play either.”

Keira Knightley has kissed some of the biggest heartthrobs in Hollywood, but her current leading man gets top billing.
“James [McAvoy] is the best kisser ever!” a giggling Knightley, 22, said of her Atonement costar while sitting in romantic Venice.
Despite kissing Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, Knightley – who is currently dating actor Rupert Friend – glanced at McAvoy and diplomatically dubbed him the best on the opening day of the Venice Film Festival.
McAvoy, 28, reciprocated the compliment saying, “I was blown away by Keira. The amount of poise and grace she has is just incredible.”
In Atonement, a war drama set in 1935, Knightley plays plays Cecilia Tallis, an upper-class beauty whose fledgling love affair with the housekeeper’s son (James McAvoy) is destroyed by a tragic misunderstanding.
McAvoy – who is married to British actress Anne-Marie Duff – told PEOPLE he was enjoying Venice “very much,” adding, with a smile, “it’s very romantic.”
