Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel Bilson are said to be keeping their romance private but according to a source, they are “definitely” together.

The insider told Holly Scoop: “They’re trying to keep a low profile but they’re definitely dating.”

Gyllenhaal split from Reese Witherspoon last year and Bilson recently broke up with fiancé Hayden Christensen.

Gyllenhaal said earlier this year that he thinks it’s important for “every man to find the right woman and every woman to find the right man”.

Jake Gyllenhaal has reportedly been seeking solace from his recent break-up with former flame Kirsten Dunst.

The actor, who split from his Rendition co-star Reese Witherspoon at the end of last year, dated Dunst for two years before parting ways in 2004.

Dunst revealed at the time that constant media scrutiny was behind their decision to separate.

A source told The Mirror that Gyllenhaal is spending time with the Spider-Man star to get back at Witherspoon. “He’s been hanging with his ex Kirsten Dunst. But everyone knows it’s a joke, for ‘fun’ only. It’s pathetic. He’s proving himself as immature as Reese said he was,” the insider claimed.

Witherspoon, 33, has been linked to Creative Artists agent Jim Toth since their split.

Jake Gyllenhaal visited a string of prisons while researching his role in Brothers, and he was so impressive with the way young offenders are rehabilitated he keeps returning to help out with writing programs.

The Brokeback Mountain star, who plays a former juvenile delinquent in the film, spent time with convicted drug smugglers and murderers in an effort to determine what life behind bars is like for a teenager.
And he was so impressed with one writing program used to educate wayward teens, he now frequents a number of prisons on a regular basis in a bid to boost interest.

He tells Fox News, “My character (in Brothers) starts off in jail so I did a lot of research at LA County Jail, Lancaster State Prison and some juvenile state halls. I came across this incredible writing program for kids that are spending time in juvenile halls, 14 to 18-year-olds participate in this writing program and that really changed my perspective on the prison system and the people inside it. I have since been back many times to work on this writing program and with these kids. It’s so life changing and extraordinary.”
