A fashion designer is suing actress Jaime Pressly over claims she was unfairly axed from her fashion line.

Tami Smith claims the My Name Is Earl star hired her to design pieces for her J’aime fashion line.

In a lawsuit filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, Smith claims she made a deal with Pressly to “represent and market” her line and spent “substantial devotion of time and effort” doing so, only to have her commissions shelved by Jaime and her company.

She is suing the star for $150,000 in fees, reports TMZ.com.

A spokesman for Pressly was unavailable for comment.

Mother’s Day was doubly special for Jaime Pressly as the annual holiday fell on her son Dezi’s first birthday, but don’t think the events gave her any ideas of adding to the family yet.

“Not right this second,” the actress tells OK! at the V Lounge Breast Cancer Fund event. “I want to give Dezi as much attention as possible and solidify our relationship.”

The Emmy winner, who maintains her svelte post-baby body with push-ups and crunches, believes it’s important for her and her husband, DJ Eric Cubiche, to make their son feel “special” at this stage before introducing a little brother or sister.

“I want him to know… that we love him,” she says. “It’s really when we’re old enough and we can handle it!”

And how has motherhood changed the 30-year-old?

“Things matter to me more now, whether it’s finding a cure for breast cancer or saving the planet,” Jaime says.

Jaime Pressly is convinced she is a distant cousin of Elvis Presley’s thanks to a family legend passed down by her grandfather. The My Name Is Earl star can’t prove a link, but she was won over when she compared pictures of her relatives and the King.

She explains, “When I was a little kid there was a lot of teasing going on about me being related to Elvis. I went to my granddad and asked him (about it), and he said that years ago there was a family feud between the Presleys and half the family changed the spelling (of their name).

“I asked my Uncle Tommy about it, and he went and got a picture of Elvis’s dad and my grandfather and laid them down side by side - and they looked like brothers. I’ve never seen anything look so close in my life. Same sideways smile, same teeth, same eyes.”

Jaime Pressly is in no hurry to get to the altar with her fiancé Eric Cubiche, even though they have an 8-month-old son together, Dezi James.

“We’re so happy with the way everything is,” Pressly, 30, told PEOPLE at the Pepsi Stuff launch party at Element in Hollywood Thursday, where Cubiche was working as the deejay.

“If I could like put a ring on his finger, and have it just be like that without us just having to go through the rigmarole of throwing a big wedding and doing that whole situation – that just seems like such a production” she added of a wedding. “My life is a production. I don’t want to have to go do a whole other one that I’ve got to pay for.”

The My Name is Earl star looks to other successful Hollywood couples, who have stayed together but not gotten married, as an ideal model.

“Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have got it right. They’re the only ones that have lasted,” she says of the longtime unmarried couple. “You’re there and together because you want to be, not because paper says you have to be.”

Still, Pressly says she does imaging tying the knot with Cubiche, 34, at some point. “Eventually, when things calm down and the baby’s a little older [we’ll get married] – although I’m sure I’ll be pregnant by that point and maybe we’ll have to wait again. … We’re fine right now. We’re happy.

Asked if she’d consider a low-key ceremony or a quickie City Hall wedding, she dismissed the idea as not her style. “I’ve never done anything little in my life,” she said. “I’ve got to do it big. When we get married, I want to be princess for a day. I want to have the dress on. I want to have the whole family. “
