After a long, very public proceeding, Hulk Hogan and former wife Linda Bollea finalized their divorce and reached an undisclosed settlement on Monday evening. While the terms were not made public, the couple’s net worth in 2008 was believed to be between $26 million and $32 million (as filed in court) and it sounds as though Mrs. Bollea walked away with quite the bulk of funds.

“Linda received an outstanding settlement result and I think both parties had compromised but Linda is extremely happy with the settlement,” her attorney Ray Rafool told Tarts. “It was bittersweet and it was also a relief and as Linda said, in every grey cloud there is a silver lining so I think for both of them, they were very relieved to be on the same page and they were very relieved that they would have this chapter of their life behind them.”

And it turns out that Hulk was the one who reached out to his wife of 25 years to make peace.

“Hulk is the one that originally came to Linda and said lets try to put this whole case aside and lets resolve this, essentially Hulk was the one that came to us with this peace offering which we gladly accepted,” Rafool added. “He said he still loves Linda and he’s happy that they’re forever getting this resolved. These people are business partners now and will be business partners in the future.”

While the divorced duo will still have a professional relationship, the semi-retired celebrity wrestler still wants some sort of personal relationship too.

“Hulk is looking forward to moving on with his life and is very hopeful that he and Linda can maintain a friendship and work together as parents to their two children,” a rep for Hogan told Tarts.

After nearly two years of contentious court dates and bitter feuding, Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) and his wife Linda settled their divorce Tuesday morning.

“The war is over,” Linda Bollea told The Tampa Tribune after a hearing in downtown Clearwater, Fla. In a sign of peace, she even kissed her ex on the cheek in the courtroom. “I still love him. He’s the father of my children,” Bollea added.

Hogan, echoing his wife’s surprisingly soft sentiment, told the paper, “When you’re married to someone for 23 years … you hope for the best …. We just got torn apart.”

In a statement released Tuesday, the wrestler’s rep said, “Hulk is looking forward to moving on with his life and is very hopeful that he and Linda can maintain a friendship and work together as parents to their two children.”

Bollea also issued a statement Tuesday afternoon, saying, “My husband took the big step of stopping this escalating war by making the decision to put this behind us. I am grateful to him for realizing that our family can be happier and stronger by working together. He and I both love our family dearly and look forward to working together to make it stronger than it has ever been. My family means the world to me.”

Bollea filed for divorce from her husband in November of 2007, just three months after the couple’s teenage son, Nick, was involved in a car crash that critically injured his best friend.

While terms of the divorce agreement were not made public, a source tells PEOPLE that Bollea now plans to move to Los Angeles, while Hogan will likely move back into the family home in Clearwater.

Continuing this week’s celebrity trend of speak first, think later, Hulk Hogan has revealed a whopper of a complex during an interview with Rolling Stone, saying that his messy split from wife Linda, and her subsequent shacking up with a friend of her teenage son’s, made him feel downright O.J. Simpson-esque.

“I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like O.J., cutting everybody’s throat,” he said. “You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can’t go to anymore, you’re driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife, and going to the Four Seasons, where you’re paying for the toilet paper he wipes his ass with.

“I mean, I totally understand O.J. I get it.”

But while it sounded as if Hogan may not know best after all, a rep for the erstwhile star wrestler said that he “in no way condones the O.J. situation.”

“As part of a larger conversation, he referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation,” rep Elizabeth Rosenthal said in a statement to E! News Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Linda Hogan isn’t in an understanding mood.

“Hulk’s serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and our future,” she said in a statement released today. “Sadly, his recent comments remind us that his definition of fair is much different than what the law dictates.”

“We have always maintained that the fear that Linda has had to live with comes from the rage and instability much too often associated with pro wrestlers,” added rep Gary Smith, per Us Weekly.

“It’s vile to speak of anybody in that way and it’s hurtful, demeaning and so many layers of ugliness attached to it. I’m always very sensitive to people saying they would kill someone,” she goes on. “I don’t speak that way anymore, so when I hear it, it has such meaning attached to it. It says a lot and speaks to his level of violence and propensity for it. It’s sad.”

While the Hogans duke it out in the courtroom, their son Nick Hogan is in jail as part of his eight-month sentence after being sentenced for causing the crash that permanently disabled his friend John Graziano.

Hulk Hogan and Linda Bollea are embroiled in a nasty divorce, but the WWE wrestler revealed Friday, he wishes they were still married.

“As crazy as that sounds to say, I wish I was still with my wife,” Hogan told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos.

After 23 years of marriage, Bollea, 48, surprised Hogan, 54, last November by filing for divorce. (He learned of the split from a newspaper reporter.)

Hogan shot down rumors that he and Bollea parted ways to protect their assets after a law suit was filed by the family of the boy permanently injured in their son Nick Bollea’s car wreck.

“If this is a ploy, her being intimate with a 19-year-old kid is pretty good acting,” Hogan said. “For me to be able to handle… my 50-year-old wife sleeping in a bed with a 19-year-old boyfriend and using my gym, and driving my cars, and living in my house. I guess we’ve got a pretty good act going on ‘cause that’s a lot to take on.”

According to Hogan, the divorce was Bollea’s idea.

“It wasn’t an argument, it was, ‘Hey, I don’t love you, I don’t want to be with you, I don’t want to see you anymore.’ It was the real deal,” Hogan told Menounos.

Since then, the two have been engaged in a messy legal war.

“Without a doubt, this one is the most formidable opponent I’ve ever run into,” Hogan recently told Usmagazine.com.

“You talk about dirty tricks: Brass knuckles, steel knuckles, cheap shots, tripping people up. I’ve never seen anybody in the wrestling business that has more dirty tricks than she does!” he added. “I guess I taught her well.”

How long will they be battling in court?

“This is a simple divorce – there’s no custody, there’s just a big pile of junk that we’ve accumulated. We should split it,” Hogan told Menounos.”But my wife’s lawyer has told different magazines there’s gonna be a war.”

Hogan continued, “This is the money that I saved for my family, and money that Linda could walk away with, money that I saved for my children, that they’re just, they’re just wasting [it] and burning [it] up.”

Brooke Hogan has issued a public apology after accusing her father of abusing her mom.

The pop star admits the allegations she made against her dad were false.

She says, “I did it under significant pressure from my mother. It was only after I learned all the facts that I realised I made a big mistake in signing it.”

The Hogans split last year and the 20 year old sided with her mother, Linda Bollea, in a messy divorce battle between the former couple.

She reportedly signed a legal affidavit accusing her father, real name Terry Bollea, of verbally and physically abusing her mother during their marriage.

But the singer has since fallen out with her mom after learning Linda was dating a teenager, who was a year below her in high school, and now she’s offering a statement to apologize for vilifying her dad.

Brooke admits to signing the affidavit, but immediately regretted her decision and asked for it not to be filed in court.

Her rep says, “The months-old document was signed by Brooke at a time when she was upset with her father.”

Brooke, who now lives with her father, adds, “Using kids as pawns in a divorce is awful. Every day my mother resorts to this kind of behavior makes it that much harder for us to ever have a relationship again.”

The acrimonious split between the Hogans has gotten even nastier.

Linda Hogan filed court documents on June 30 seeking to prevent her estranged husband from harassing her. In the documents, first reported by TMZ.com, Linda Hogan, 48, claims that Hulk Hogan, 54, “relentlessly and methodically” follows her, “causing her anxiety and fear for her safety at all times.” The motion also claims that Hulk “has a history of violence” towards Linda, “and is capable of attacking [her] at any time.”

In a statement, David Houston, a lawyer for Hulk (whose real name is Terry Bollea) shot back: “Linda Bollea’s allegations are pure fantasy, in line with her recent 911 call that has been widely played in the media.

“On May 22, Linda called 911 claiming Hulk was stalking her, which Hulk vehemently denied. Since November, Terry Bollea has been in Los Angeles working. The limited time that he has spent in Florida has been solely to visit his son and daughter. In addition, he has no history of violence.”

The documents are the latest salvo in the contentious divorce. When Linda filed for divorce in November, Hulk learned of the filing from a reporter. The couple has wrangled over assets and traded barbs, although Hogan told PEOPLE last month that he unconditionally loves Linda.

It’s been a rough year for the Hogans. In addition to the split, 17-year-old Nick is serving eight months in jail for a felony charge of reckless driving, stemming from an accident that seriously injured family friend John Graziano.
