Hulk Hogan is firing back at his ex-wife, suing her for defamation of character.

The wrestler, real name Terry Bollea, claims that his ex-wife Linda defamed him all over her new book, ‘Wrestling the Hulk – My Life Against the Ropes.’ He says that it’s a blatant attempt to use his name to revive (or create) her career with accusations of domestic abuse and allegations that he carried on homosexual affairs. Not only has she reportedly defamed him in her book, but on promotional tours as well as interviews.

Well, the Hulk is biting back, filing a lawsuit in Florida and demanding a trial by a jury of his peers to put a stop to his wife’s accusations.

One would think that since she took more than 70 percent of their assets in the divorce, she’d be more than happy to keep some private information to herself. Who am I kidding, this is Hollywood.

Superstar pro-wrestler Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, has a new business venture that is sure to stun many who have been loyal fans of the HH brand all these years. The platinum blond reality television star is breaking into something called Micro Wrestling, and he has created a show that is currently in production for TruTV.

Hulk’s attorney explains:

“He’s the guy who inspires, recruits, trains and mentors them. He’s been involved in every step — only this time it’s on a smaller scale.[...]It will explore the fascinating world of wrestling on the scale of little people. It will show their extraordinary physical capabilities and the true strength of people of that stature.”

After the wrestler underwent back surgery last year, many didn’t know whether he would continue to get in the ring. He has since married his new wife and once longtime girlfriend, Jennifer McDaniel, and his attorney goes on to say:

“His health is exceptional. He’s improved dramatically. He’s in better shape now than he has been in 15 years. He’s a remarkable athlete and I would not be surprised if he made a decision to get back into the ring and give wrestling another shot.”

Hulk Hogan is recovering at the hospital after having back surgery on Monday.

A source said, “It was a pretty lengthy surgical procedure. Doctors did some fusion work and rebuilding and restructuring of the spine. But he’s recovering smoothly. We hope he’ll be able to leave the hospital relatively quickly. He’s always taken very good care of himself and is in very good physical shape.”

The 57-year-old star — whose real name is Terry Bollea — is due to be assessed by a physical therapist soon and can’t wait to be allowed home.

“The therapist will get him moving and hopefully back home in a few days. If Terry had his way, he’d go home tomorrow,” the source added.

Hulk Tweeted about his impending operation on Monday.

“Going for broke in six hrs.rollin all the marbles,I bet on me..I love all u maniacs! Se all u guys soon,” he wrote.

In June, the sportsman underwent surgery in June for an old wrestling interview and was hospitalized in September after experiencing unrelated back spasms.

Hulk Hogan is gearing to marry his 35-year-old girlfriend, Jennifer McDaniel, tonight — at sunset!

The ceremony will take place at Hulk’s Clearwater, Florida home with his two kids in attendance. TMZ reports:

As we first reported, Hulk applied for a marriage license last month — and we’re told L.A.-based spiritual guru Dr. Michael Beckwith will perform the ceremony.

They have a very strange relationship, that’s all I’m going to say.

After a long, very public proceeding, Hulk Hogan and former wife Linda Bollea finalized their divorce and reached an undisclosed settlement on Monday evening. While the terms were not made public, the couple’s net worth in 2008 was believed to be between $26 million and $32 million (as filed in court) and it sounds as though Mrs. Bollea walked away with quite the bulk of funds.

“Linda received an outstanding settlement result and I think both parties had compromised but Linda is extremely happy with the settlement,” her attorney Ray Rafool told Tarts. “It was bittersweet and it was also a relief and as Linda said, in every grey cloud there is a silver lining so I think for both of them, they were very relieved to be on the same page and they were very relieved that they would have this chapter of their life behind them.”

And it turns out that Hulk was the one who reached out to his wife of 25 years to make peace.

“Hulk is the one that originally came to Linda and said lets try to put this whole case aside and lets resolve this, essentially Hulk was the one that came to us with this peace offering which we gladly accepted,” Rafool added. “He said he still loves Linda and he’s happy that they’re forever getting this resolved. These people are business partners now and will be business partners in the future.”

While the divorced duo will still have a professional relationship, the semi-retired celebrity wrestler still wants some sort of personal relationship too.

“Hulk is looking forward to moving on with his life and is very hopeful that he and Linda can maintain a friendship and work together as parents to their two children,” a rep for Hogan told Tarts.
