At first, we thought Stern might be joking about his ‘Idol’ interest, but after bringing it up on his show two days in a row, it’s time to consider the pros and cons of a Stern/’Idol’ pairing. Entertainment Weekly Senior Writer and resident ‘Idol’ expert Michael Slezak likens Stern on ‘Idol’ to combining chocolate with cheeseburgers. “They’re two great tastes,” Slezak tells PopEater. “But I don’t necessarily know you’d want them together. They’re very popular, but I think there’s a reason McDonald’s has never offered a chocolate-dipped cheeseburger. Artie Lange landed in the hospital after stabbing himself nine times in an apparent suicide attempt, sources told The Post.

Lange’s frantic mom called 911 Saturday morning after she entered his Hoboken apartment and found the bloodied funnyman, a law enforcement source said. Lange sustained six “hesitation wounds” and three deep plunges. A source close to Lange’s management team confirmed that Howard Stern’s sidekick stabbed himself. Surgeons managed to save Lange.

On his Sirius Satellite Radio show Monday, Stern vowed to keep quiet on Lange’s condition but said he “wanted to vomit” after reading rumors about the comedian’s fragile health.

A spokesman confirmed over the weekend that Lange, 42, is in a New Jersey hospital, but no other information has been released.

Stern didn’t shy away from showering his buddy with praise.”We all have our demons,” Stern said on-air this week, referring to Lange’s past battles with addiction.

“Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. He’s a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don’t forget how great he is.”

It’s been nearly a year since their fairytale wedding, but Beth Ostrosky is still in the Honeymoon phase with her radio host hubby, Howard Stern.

“I highly recommend marriage. It’s better than I ever imagined it would be!” the former model told In Touch at the 2009 Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge’s opening day in Bridgehampton, New York on July 18.

Though the couple has been together for years, Beth swears she has no secrets to keeping the sizzle in her relationship. “If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. We just seem to work,” the blonde beauty added. They may not have any plans yet for their first anniversary on October 3, but take note Howard- Beth expects more than paper! “He can do better than that!” she laughed.

When Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky tied the knot last Friday at NYC’s Le Cirque restaurant, they “walked into a room full of friends excited to celebrate with them,” Stern’s cohost Robin Quivers tells Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

“And they turned it into a clever, creative, fun party,” Quivers adds.

The Georgina Chapman-clad Ostrosky, who carried purple calla lilies, said “I do” under a canopy of white orchids in front of Barbara Walters, Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman and Kelly Ripa, whose husband, Mark Consuelos officiated the ceremony.

Kimmel read a poem and Dixie Chick Natalie Maines sang a tune written for the occasion.

“They were laughing, they were crying,” guest (and Uscontributor) Jill Martin says of Stern and Ostrosky.

Howard Stern and his longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky were married in New York City on Friday night, according to guests who attended the celebration.

The guest list for the wedding, held at the restaurant Le Cirque, included Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman and Stern’s radio co-host, Robin Quivers.

Stern, 54, and Ostrosky, 36, were joined in a ceremony officiated by Mark Consuelos, the husband of Kelly Ripa, who also attended. Billy Joel sang two songs, and Chevy Chase delivered a raunchy roast, said one guest.

“Beth is the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen,” said Stern pal Dominic Barbara. (Ostrosky wore Marchesa.) “The vows were from each others’ hearts. It was gentle and soft and beautiful. People were crying.”

After 11 p.m., Joan Rivers walked out holding a bouquet of cream roses. “I danced with Howard,” she said. “The wedding was fabulous, everyone had a great, great time.”

The infamous satellite radio host admits he has invited the girl in question onto his show, but she’s the one selling off her innocence online – not him.

On his show on Tuesday, livid Stern raged, “I’m really aggravated by this. I don’t feel like defending myself to my kids about something that’s in the paper that isn’t true.”

Howard Stern is set to shock audiences once again – when he helps auction off a 22-year-old girl’s virginity on Tuesday.

The San Diego, California woman approached Stern to appear on his Sirius radio show in a desperate bid to pay off her college tuition.

Using the pseudonym of Natalie Dylan, she tells the New York Daily News, “I don’t have a moral dilemma with it… We live in a capitalist society. Why shouldn’t I be allowed to capitalise on my virginity? I understand some people may condemn me. But I think this is empowering. I’m using what I have to better myself.”

But Dylan insists her rising bills won’t mean giving it up to the highest bidder. She says: “I want someone with chemistry. We’ll take bids until I find a suitor I’m happy with.”

The auction will be conducted online on adult website Bunnyranch.com.
