Pregnant actres and singer Hilary Duff is already lining up her post baby projects, saying that she’s ready to jump back into the studio and work on releasing her first album since 2007. She and ice hockey player husband Mike Comrie are expecting their baby boy early next year, but she’s ready to join the rankings and take her place as a pop princess once again. She told E! online:
“I want to get into the studio. I want to start recording. Even if I just mess around and kind of get myself in the swing of it. Before I got pregnant I was thinking about making a record, so I still want to do that.”
“I think that after I have the baby I’ll want to sit still for a few months and learn how to be a really good mom and then there’s no reason why I can’t put a record out and tour… It might take a little while but I’m really excited about it.”

First time mommy-to-be Hilary Duff recently visited the Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk her pregnancy, and there she revealed that she is expecting a baby boy with husband Mike Comrie. The pair had endured many false alarms, so when they found out they were indeed having a baby, they were beyond elated.
“I had a feeling it was a boy the whole time.”
“My husband makes this joke that I think I’m pregnant like 12 times a year,” she told Ellen.
“So when it actually happened … he was in the shower and I just held up the test and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ And he was like, ‘Ahh!’ He was soaking wet. We were just a mess and started crying. It was really exciting.”
Duff says her pregnancy has been “super easy,” but still leaves her feeling strange.
“No sickness, but crazy dreams,” she said. “It’s kind of like a little alien has taken over your body. You just don’t quite feel normal.”
Hilary is due early next year.

Hilary Duff stopped by Good Morning America today and discussed her “ferocious” cravings.
The 24-year-old actress is now four months pregnant, and she explains her husband Mike Comrie is having a tough time keeping her cravings satisfied.
“When I get something on my mind I want, I want it now,” she explained. “I’m ferocious.”
What has she been craving?
“I’m always up for red hots, which is so weird because I’ve never liked them before,” Hilary said. “Thank god, it’s not fried and covered in butter. Red hots are totally doable.”
Hilary is on tour right now promoting her new book, Devoted. The book is a sequel to her best-selling young adult novel, Elixir.

Well that’s a quick way to make a buck! TMZ is reporting that Hilary Duff was paid a $100,000 severence package after she was dropped from the remake of the classic film, ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ due to her pregnancy.
The actress’ play-or-pay contract stipulated she gets a six figure compensation deal should she be axed from a production, TMZ reported Monday.
Duff, who announced in early August she was expecting her first child with her NHL-player husband Mike Comrie, told the entertainment website, “I don’t wanna give them any more press than they’ve already gotten off me … I think [my] baby is a little bit more exciting.”
A replacement has yet to be cast. Amanda Seyfried was approached to take over the role, but she declined, according to the website.
The remake was announced in early 2009, and Duff’s casting was immediately derided by the original star, Faye Dunaway.
“Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?” the screen legend reportedly said when she learned the former “Lizzie McGuire” star would be filling her shoes.
Duff fired back at Dunaway, saying, “I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is, so you know … I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.”
I think Hilary dodged a bullet. I hate to say it – but no matter what – that movie would have sucked with her in the lead. I’m sorry – it’s just true! They need to cast a much better actress, or the film is doomed. Amanda was smart to pass on the role. I’m not thinking this movie even needs a remake!
