She has had plenty of success with television, movies, and music, and at her latest gig on the CW’s “Gossip Girl,” Hilary Duff says she’s having a blast.

And though she has the enviable position of working opposite Penn Badgley (her character has a thing for him), Miss Duff says it’s all strictly friendly.

Hilary told press, “I’ve known him for a few years. We lived in the same neighborhood in LA growing up. And they’re wonderful!” adding “Blake (Lively, Penn’s real-life girlfriend) has been so sweet to me.”

Duff also commented on working with fellow guest star Tyra Banks, saying, “I love her. I’ve done her show so many times. It was exciting and fun to work with her in a different atmosphere.”

Fans of singer/actress Hilary Duff have every reason to be delighted as they prepare to see their favorite actress essaying the role of Bonnie Parker in the remake (not a copy paste version, but with much more insights and lots of different incidents to focus on) of the 1967 Oscar winning classic “Bonnie And Clyde.” From the looks of the sneak peaks that have been leaked online, the former “Lizzie McGuire” star looks all set to step in to shoes of the reel life Bonnie and looks comfortable enough to do justice to the character.

The new movie, which was set to go on floors from July, but got postponed, is in talks to start filming roughly around October. According to the indication of the Tonya S. Holly, who is the president of the studio which is making the film, shooting is supposed to commence around October.

Hilary Duff herself has said that she has pending commitments at hand to work out first, like the “Gossip Girl” episodes and the filming of “The Business of Falling In Love”, and only then she could move to dedicate her time in the filming of “Bonnie And Clyde.” The movie will star Kevin Zegers as Clyde Barrow, besides others like Thora Birch, Taryn Manning, Rance Howard, Michael Madsen and Cloris Leachman.

According to Holly, the movie is not going to be a remake exactly, but intends to present many new instances of the adventurous, crime filled life that was led by the real life couple of Bonnie and Clyde, that have not made it to the screen before.

She’s the new kid on the Gossip Girl block, but Hilary Duff says the star-studded cast is making her feel right at home.

“Everyone’s been really, really gracious to me and sweet to me,” Duff told reporters Thursday night at a NYC celebration for Charlotte Ronson’s I “Heart” Ronson collection for JCPenney.

Duff reportedly will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at New York University and rooms with Jessica Szohr’s character, Vanessa.

“I’m a huge fan of the show. They called me and said come on and do a few episodes. I jumped at the chance,” she said on the red carpet outside the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.

Due to a packed summer schedule, Duff — who recently returned from Columbia, where she distributed food to poor children through the charity Blessings in a Backpack — says she hasn’t hung out personally with the GG cast much yet, but has enjoyed spending time with them on-set.

“Blake [Lively] and Penn [Badgley] are really amazing. She’s been so so sweet to me,” she said, when asked about the real-life couple. “And I’ve known him for a few years. We’ve kind of lived in the same neighborhood in L.A., just growing up.”

Another first-timer joining her on the Gossip Girl set this season: Tyra Banks, who will play actress Ursula whose roles include cultural icon Josephine Baker.

“It was fun to work with her in a different atmosphere than appearing on her show,” Duff told reporters. “She looked beautiful and did a really great job. She had the flat hair that squiggles on her forehead. Very flapper-ish!”

Hilary Duff is coming to start some drama on the Upper East Side.

The singer and actress is joining the cast of Gossip Girl for a several episodes, reports EW.com.

Duff will play Olivia Burke, a famous film star in search of the normal college experience. Her school of choice will be New York University, where Blair (Leighton Meester), Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) were also accepted.

And in a excellent twist, Olivia will be rooming with Vanessa! Will they be friends? How will Blair react? And could she catch the eye of a certain Brooklynite?

Duff’s first episode is set to air Oct. 5.
