She said: ‘I just started about a week ago at SoulCycle and I’m addicted to it.

‘It’s a great workout and it’s perfect because it’s only forty-five minutes — where else can you sweat like that in forty-five minutes?’

‘I’m working out because I honestly missed it during my pregnancy – getting in that good, hard workout.

‘I need endorphins in my life to be a happy person.

‘I want my body back but I’m not freaked out or anything – just working out and trying to eat a little bit healthier.’

Baby Luca is Hilary’s first child with husband Mike Comrie. And earlier this month, Hilary shared a picture of her growing little boy as she celebrated Mother’s Day in the States.

‘Me and my beautiful boy,’ she wrote alongside the snap which she posted on Twitter.

‘So much to be thankful for.’

And in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, Hilary said she can notice little Luca growing and learning every day.

She said: ‘Every single day, it seems like there’s a new face that they’re making. He started to smile about a week ago and that’s the coolest experience. It’s all good.

‘What is to come is such an amazing journey and a lot of work. It’s just like the best thing that’s every happened to you.’

New Mom, Hilary Duff joins Ellen for her special Mother’s Day episode airing on Friday, May 11th. Hilary talks about being a new Mom to son, Luca and her easy delivery…

Ellen: And how is it going for you?

Hilary: It’s an amazing ride. Huge change right away.

Ellen: Was it an easy delivery?

Hilary: It was very easy. I went into labor at about 1 in the morning and I very calmly had my bags packed and woke my husband up after about 3 hours of walking up and down my hallway. Then I’ m like ok, it’s time to go, let’s go now. We got in the car a drove to the hospital and that was it….My family showed up at about 12 the next day. So I got there at 3, 12 the next day my family gets there and we wait all day and everyone is hungry. We’re southern and from Texas and my Mom and my sister actually went down to the commissary to the food court area and the doctor comes in they’re gone and my husbands there. So it’s time to start pushing and I’m like now? Like now it’s time to go? He’s like yeah, let’s do this. I’m like my call my Mom. Call my sister. You know get them all in here. He’s like no, no, you’ll be fine you’ve got a while. So, I’m like all right. It’s just the two of us. Things start rolling. All of the sudden the doors bust open and my sister and my mom come flying in and they’re like we got barbeque chips and root beer guys. I’m like what? I’m pushing…Like they were just arriving for a show with their clips and their root beer….

Don’t you just love reading stories about first time mothers – who had angelic births. Their cherubs just dropped out – no pain or anything!

Yeah, that’s what my labor was like too.

Hilary Duff gave birth to a healthy 7 pound, 6 ounce baby boy on Tuesday, March 20. They’ve named him Luca Cruz Comrie!

“He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well,” Duff tweeted on Thursday.

“We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world,” she added.
