Should the whole singing thing not work out for Heidi Montag, at least she’ll have other career choices to fall back on.

Following in the footsteps of her sworn enemy, Lauren Conrad, the Hills star is launching her own fashion line, dubbed Heidiwood.

The collection is designed to cater to girls between the ages of 16 and 21, with pieces such as brightly colored cotton jersey dresses, graphic tees, oversized handbags, evening clutches and gold, silver and zebra print jewelry.

The line is slated to launch in Anchor Blue stores on Apr. 15, with items priced between $10 and $60.

Meanwhile, Conrad’s a few steps ahead of Montag in the fashion game and launched the fall collection of her line Tuesday at Los Angeles Fashion Week.

Proving that she’s not one to hold a grudge forever, Conrad’s former frenemy Kristin Cavallari was in the audience for the show.

“We’ve been cool with each other for a long time,” Cavallari told E! News on Tuesday.

“She has an amazing line,” she said of Conrad’s collection.

Conrad had similarly kind words to offer up about her former Laguna Beach costar.

“She’s a sweet girl, so we get along,” she told E! Online Party Girl Cristina Gibson.

However, when it comes to Montag, Conrad has vowed not to make similar hatchet-burying amends.

“Um, no,” she replied, when asked if the two would ever reconcile.

Meanwhile, Montag’s on-again, off-again fiancé and manager Spencer Pratt has scored a new gig of his own.

Radar magazine announced Wednesday that it has hired the oft-reviled Hills star to pen a monthly column titled “Yo Spencer!”

The column, which promises to tackle pressing issues ranging from hot girls to family affairs, debuts in the April 2008 issue of the magazine, on newsstands Mar. 25.

The Hills returns to MTV on Mar. 24.

Heidi Montag is “heartbroken” following the death of her stepbrother Eric O’Hara, and has jetted to Colorado to grieve with her family. O’Hara died last Thursday, at the age of 24, after falling from the roof of a hotel, while clearing snow.

Montag has been accompanied on her trip by boyfriend and co-star Spencer Pratt. A friend tells PageSix.com, “Heidi is absolutely heartbroken. Spencer has been trying to comfort her since she heard about Eric and they will both attend the funeral together. Heidi was very proud of her brother’s military record and will really miss him.”

O’Hara’s sister Carissa Berlet adds, “Eric last spoke to Heidi in October (07) after he left the Army, and he was pleased about her success on The Hills. When we were growing up, we would all play together. Eric loved to ski and play all kinds of sports, just like Heidi. Eric’s death is a real tragedy and we are all coming together to mourn his passing.”

The stepbrother of “Hills” star Heidi Montag has died in a freak accident at a hotel where he worked in Colorado.

Eric O’Hara, a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, died a month after his discharge from the Army after falling off of an icy roof.

O’Hara was working at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel Thursday, helping to remove snow from the resort’s roof. According to the Rocky Mountain News, he had just released a safety clip he was attached to so he could move along the roof when a piece of ice broke loose and he slid down the sloped roof and fell over the edge.

Heidi’s father Bill married O’Hara’s mother Terri.

Reality show players-turned super couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt won’t settle for being a sideshow on The Hills. Wannabe pop star Heidi, 21, is prepping for worldwide fame as she moves forward from her homemade music video, “Higher,” to her next professionally mastered single, which is being recorded this month.

“The next thing is to really focus on her new music and get her onstage and on a world tour,” Spencer, 24, who is also Heidi’s manager, tells In Touch. Although Heidi considers herself an original act, she plans to take performance cues from some of the world biggest superstars, like Britney Spears, Madonna and Michael Jackson, says Spencer.

“What we want for Heidi is for her to perform like they do,” Spencer reveals to In Touch. “She could have these huge, unbelievable, explosive performances, with pyrotechnics and lots of costume changes.” “Heidi isn’t going to let what people say stop her from being a huge star,” Spencer tells In Touch.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have more than just music in the works.

“We’re definitely developing the Heidi and Spencer video game,” Pratt told Usmagazine.com last week at video game giant Electronic Arts’ Burnout Paradise pre-Valentine’s Day lounge in L.A.

Pratt, who said he is collaborating with EA on the game, told Us, “it’s top secret. Let’s just say that everyone will be addicted.”

Good news to those who love-to-hate The Hills pair: “You can definitely play as us or you can play against us,” Pratt said. “You can even torture me.”

He said “there’s going to be two versions: the adult version and the one for minors,” adding, “just be ready, that’s all I have to say.”

Expect the game to hit shelves in 2009, Pratt said, “right around Christmastime, probably.”
