What’s Heidi Montag’s reaction to being hailed as a “feminist hero” in The New York Times’ review of The Hills?
“I was very honored to be called a feminist hero,” Heidi tells In Touch. “It’s a big deal to be even acknowledged, let alone complimented by The New York Times by such a profound, famous TV critic.”
Her boyfriend, Spencer Pratt, was also a fan of Ginia Bellafante’s review —even though it praised Heidi for refusing to acquiesce to his demands. “Spencer was ecstatic,” says Heidi. “He’s proud of whatever I do.”
The 22-year-old aspiring singer and Heidiwood fashion designer says she considers herself a feminist (“I definitely do!” she exclaims), but was less forthcoming when asked who her own feminist heroes were. “Who are my feminist heroes?” she asked. “ Um… I’ll get back to you on that one!”

The season premiere of The Hills, Monday night, was the highest rated episode of the series….ever.
With an average of 4.7 million viewers, the premiere was the most watched program across all of TV for viewers aged 12 to 34 and the highest rated cable telecast of 2008.
An additional 1.8 million streams of the show were delivered on Tuesday by MTV.com.

The word is in — and it’s mixed for Heidi Montag’s latest song, “No More.”
While the Hills star’s music has been somewhat of a hard sell in the past — People.com readers unanimously panned her first single — those same readers are now eagerly sharing their thoughts on her follow up pop song. More than 1,700 respondents have already commented.
“This release is an improvement over your last,” writes one reader. “It has a catchy melody. I’m not sure music is your niche, but you do seem persistant [sic]. That is a necessity in your industry.”
Others agree. “I kind of like it,” says one.
Interestingly, some comments take issue not with the song but with Montag. Writes commenter “Aquanetta Robinson”: “I don’t like her at all, but the words to the song [are] good because [they’re] from the heart.”
Robinson’s final summation of the song: “I would have liked it from someone else.”
Still, some are nonplussed — and suggest Montag retire from music altogether. “This is horrible,” writes “Kracka.” “If I heard this while driving, I could possibly drive into a wall. You can’t even tell what her real voice would sound like.”
The song has been digitally released and is available for download on iTunes. Montag previously released a similarly synth-heavy song, “Higher,” but has disclosed no plans to release a full album. The aspiring singer’s other major project, MTV’s The Hills, started airing its extended third season Monday.

Her music career launched with one memorable video, some seagulls and a flurry of tough reviews. But Heidi Montag is back at it, and People has the first listen to “No More,” the follow up single by the aspiring pop star.
The song (listen to it here) is available digitally March 25 — the day after The Hills returns to television. In the airy pop song, Montag, with a little bit of vocoder assistance, sings about a broken relationship (possibly alluding to trouble with her fiancé, manager and music video director Spencer Pratt), intoning, “I bet you wish you had my love again/ I bet you wish you never made that decision” over a drizzly keyboard line.
Montag’s first single, “Higher,” premiered with a now-classic music video, shot by Pratt, on a beach.
While the Hills villainess has talked openly about her designs at becoming a pop star, and Pratt has claimed, “we have diamond records coming,” the pair have not yet announced plans to release a full album.
This song leaves a lot to be desired….she might just want to stick to acting. What do you think?

Some quotes from Heidi:
“Lauren’s line is not necessarily something I would wear – she’s trying a high-fashion thing, but it’s a little overpriced,” Montag tells Us. “Mine is fun and flirty for the everyday woman. Most people can’t afford $200 for one dress.”
“Throw on flats or heels, you’re ready to go!” Montag tells Us.
“When we were in school, I was the designer, and she was in, like, product development,” Montag tells Us of former best friend Conrad.
The Hills star’s clothes will appear in nationwide Anchor Blue stores starting this April.
Montag’s line includes dresses, tops, jeans, bags and jewelry all priced under $60.
