According to law enforcement sources, TMZ reports that Heather Locklear is “unlikely” to have prosecutors file hit-and-run charges against her.
Heather was arrested Saturday after allegedly hitting a “no parking” sign and leaving the scene, TMZ reports.
However, law enforcement sources say cops don’t have enough proof showing Heather was driving the car.
After watching surveillance video at Heather’s development, the BMW in question is scene arriving hours after the accident, but the driver can not be identified.
An investigating deputy found a piece of plastic at the scene that matched what was missing from Heather’s car.
However, sources say it is “extremely unlikely” prosecutors will file charges because as of now there is “nothing approaching proof beyond a reasonable doubt.”

From TMZ:
Heather Locklear was arrested for hit-and-run last Saturday … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ at around 4 AM, someone heard a crash near North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, CA.
The person who heard the crash didn’t call the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department until 7:48 PM that night. Deputies went out to the area and found a knocked over “no parking” sign and obvious signs of a car that went up the curb, striking the sign.
Deputies confirmed through investigation that the car in question was Locklear’s black BMW. The collision was very close to Locklear’s home.
Deputies then went to Locklear’s home, saw damage to the BMW that was consistent with the collision, and arrested her for hit-and-run.
The offense is a misdemeanor, so Locklear was not taken into custody — just cited and released. An official from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department tells TMZ a hit-and-run citation constitutes an “arrest.”
Back in 2008, Locklear was arrested in Santa Barbara for allegedly driving under the influence of prescription medications.
What I want to know is how they knew it was Heather Locklear – just by looking at “signs a car went up the curb”. That’s some straight up CSI sh*t right there.

It looks like the longtime romance between Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner may be over — and according to a pal, it’s because the actress realized that the relationship was taking her focus away from her daughter, Ava, 12.
“Heather felt like she had been spending so much time with Jack, that it was affecting her child,” says the insider.
“Ava is at that point where she’ll soon be a teenager, and she needs her mom more than ever, especially since she’s trying to become an actress and model. So Heather told Jack she wants space.”
Heather has been with Jack since 2007, a year after she separated from Ava’s dad, Richie Sambora.

So is anyone actually watching Melrose Place? Is it any good? I’m ashamed to say I watch Gossip Girl, but I have to draw the line somewhere.

As Us Weekly previously reported, Heather Locklear is returning to Melrose Place, it was announced Tuesday.
Locklear, 47, will reprise her role as scheming ad vixen Amanda Woodward on the new CW version of the show. She will make her debut appearance Nov. 17.
“We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place,” executive producers Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer said in a statement. “Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”

An insider told Us Weekly that Locklear saw a pilot of the show — which stars Ashlee Simpson-Wentz — and “was surprised at how much she like it.”
The source said the role is a “a great comeback” for the actress, who faced a DUI charged that was later dismissed and sought treatment for anxiety last year. Said the source: “She is in great spirits and good shape. This is a perfect time to show everyone how well she is doing.
Details are mum on Locklear’s role. She was last seen with Peter (played by real-life love Jack Wagner — who’s not expected to return) faking her own death on the 1999 finale.
Original cast members Josie Bissett, Thomas Calabro, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga have also signed back on for the show.

Earlier this month, an exec on the CW’s new Melrose Place announced that “the door is always open” for Heather Locklear to return.
Now, it looks like Locklear is taking a tentative step toward her old address. PEOPLE has learned that the actress is now in talks to possibly reprise her role as the conniving ad exec Amanda Woodward on the upcoming revamp of the popular ’90s series.
Locklear, 47, would join a cast that includes original series stars Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bissett and Daphne Zuniga, as well as new addition Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.
