Glee’s creator and producer Ryan Murphy has revealed that he would like Gwyneth Paltrow to return next season.

Paltrow, who plays substitute teacher Holly Holliday, has appeared in two episodes so far and is expected to reprise the role again before the second season comes to a close.

Speaking to TV Line, Murphy explained that he also wants her “to come back next year”.

“Gwyneth is sort of the muse of the show,” he said. “I’m friendly with her. And [fellow executive producer] Brad [Falchuk] has become quite friendly with her.”

Murphy added: “She’s also somebody who I write [to] on the weekends and say, ‘What do you think about this for an episode even if you’re not in it?’ She has opinions. She’s great.”

Murphy also revealed that Kristin Chenoweth will reprise her role as April Rhodes before the end of the second season.

Ok here’s the thing… I actually really like Gwynnie. I know a lot of you can’t stand her, but I’m not one of them. Everytime I talk about her, I usually get the response “Oooh, I can’t stand her!”. Anyway – while I do like her, I can’t stand her singing voice. And lately, all she does is sing! It’s like nails on a chalk board. I even like her character on ‘Glee’ – but does there have to be so much singing?

Is Gwyneth Paltrow trying to reinvent herself as a country music singer?

She’s already won an Oscar, has two children with musician husband Chris Martin, runs a successful website, released her own cookbook and then some.

Is the 38-year-old looking to follow in her husband’s footsteps?

Gwyneth got to know Faith Hill, 43, while working on Country Strong with Tim McGraw, the singer’s husband. ‘We’ve been friends for a year,’ Gwyneth says of the country music star. ‘But now we’re soul mates.’

While Miss Paltrow and her children Apple, six, and Moses, four, spent many nights at the Hill-McGraw household during filming in Tennessee, Faith was keen to know what goes on in Gwyneth’s abode across the pond.

‘I like having dance parties at my house and being super-goofy with my girlfriends,’ Gwyneth says.

‘We just play dance music like whatever is on the radio and then old stuff – Michael Jackson, disco – and new stuff; we mix it up. It’s fun.’

‘What’s a typical Saturday night at the Paltrow-Martin house?’ Hill asks.

‘Well, last Saturday night, I made turkey meatballs and we all had dinner together, then put the kids to bed and watched a movie on Apple TV,’ is Paltrow’s reply.

‘We always go out one night of the weekend, because it’s nice for me to get out of the house. I cook so much during the week, it’s good for me to have a break and eat something that I don’t make, like sashimi or Indian food.’

And while Gwyneth and Chris, 34, make their home in London during the school year, Gwyneth reveals that she longs for her native America – and that she felt right at home in Nashville.

‘I loved it. There’s something about it here – it is so relaxing and everybody is so kind and I just loved it,’ she tells Faith in the candid interview. ‘Cut to me moving into your house.’

The Iron Man star was so enamoured with the music capital that she devoted two articles on her lifestyle blog GOOP to the city.

‘London is great, but I miss America,’ she adds. ‘Nowadays, I feel like we’re citizens of everywhere.’

Gwyneth Paltrow covers the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, on newsstands Thursday.

“Any time you do anything with any degree of sincerity, people make fun of you,” she says in the magazine. “That’s totally fine. I don’t care. I don’t read any of it. My thing with Goop has always been, if you don’t like it, then don’t log onto it. There were a couple of times when I thought, ‘I’m just gonna stop doing it. People are so mean to me. I don’t want to do it.’ But then I was like, ‘Who cares what some lame person out there says?’ I was in Italy once, and this old man came up to me and said, ‘I had the best time in Nashville because of Goop.’ And that is so worth it to me.”

Paltrow says people are nicer in England, where she lives with her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and two children, Apple, 6, and Moses, 4.

“In England, people are cool,” she says. “They’re really laid back and calm. Beyonce did the school run with me once, and everyone was fine. They also have really good anti-paparazzi rules. If you’re driving in a car and they make you feel freaked out, that’s against the law. They can’t put you in a magazine unless they pixelate the kids’ faces. I miss America, but I love living in the UK.”

What else does Gwyneth love? Beyonce!

“Beyonce is the most talented human being on the planet. She has so much mastery over what she does. It’s not even confidence – it’s on a whole other level. It’s mind-blowing. I watched her (perform) a lot to see how she did it, and I was like ‘Shit! I can’t do that!’”

I’m not surprised…the trailer doesn’t even look that interesting. I was reading one review over the weekend that said the movie is very dark, much different than the preview portrays it. I think I’ll wait until RedBox.

“True Grit” seized the reins at the weekend box office with $15 million, taking the No. 1 spot and becoming the first Western to top the $100 million mark since the 1990s, according to studio estimates released Sunday.

The Paramount release starring Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon bumped off Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller’s comedy “Little Fockers,” which was No. 1 for the previous two weekends. Released by Universal, “Little Fockers” slipped to second with $13.8 million, raising its total to $124 million.

“True Grit,” which was directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, lifted its total to $110.4 million.

Among newcomers, Nicolas Cage’s supernatural thriller “Season of the Witch” opened at No. 3 with $10.7 million. Distributed by Relativity Media, the movie stars Cage as a knight in the Middle Ages escorting a suspected witch to her trial.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s country-music drama “Country Strong” premiered at No. 6 with $7.3 million. The Sony Screen Gems release casts Paltrow as a boozy singer trying to get her act straight after rehab.

Entertainment Tonight has learned that United States congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in the head when a man opened fire outside a grocery store in Arizona on Saturday, is in fact related to actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

Gwyneth’s rep told ET that Giffords and Paltrow are cousins but the two have never met. The actress released a statement to ET on the tragedy, saying, “Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting congresswoman Giffords, my thoughts and prayers are with her and her family as well as the other victims of this horrible act of senseless violence.”

Giffords, 40, remains in critical condition after she was reportedly the target of an assassination attempt. The shooting occurred in Tucson, Arizona where the congresswoman was conducting a meeting. Six people were killed including a 9-year-old girl and 14 injured.
