You pretty much can’t pick up a supermarket tabloid or read a gossip blog without getting this message: Gwyneth Paltrow’s marriage to Coldplay’s Chris Martin is over.
There are many “reasons” given for this starting with the insistence that because no pictures have been taken of the couple together in recent months, they must be finito. It makes so much sense!
Not so, however. Recently FOX News had a talk with Gwyneth’s mom, actress Blythe Danner. She was very surprised when she heard the rumors.
“They don’t take pictures together if they can avoid it. It’s a strategy. They don’t want the pandemonium.” She might have been referring to endless publicity seeking of couples like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the Beckhams, and Brangelina.
In fact, Danner says the couple are just fine, thanks. “They’re staying in England for the new year. Then coming here.” Danner didn’t confirm this rumor, but I am told that Gwyneth will be a right by Martin’s side when Coldplay goes up for numerous Grammy awards on February 8th.

Gwyneth Paltrow is back on good terms with PETA after the anti-fur group lashed out at the actress for wearing a Fox stole in a Tod’s ad.
PETA’s senior vice president, Dan Mathews, chatted with the actress at the Fontainebleau Hotel opening in Miami over the weekend. In August, the group released a statement that said: “Gwyneth Paltrow won’t be the apple of her daughter’s eye if she continues to flaunt fur.”
According to Mathews, Paltrow graciously said: “That was awkward, and I’m glad you asked, because I do not wear fur at all.
“It was a daylong photo shoot on a boat near Capri, and there were all sorts of poses with all kinds of clothes – none with fur,” she added. “During one set-up, a stylist came up from behind and draped a stole around my shoulder.
She continued: “I didn’t pay much attention to it, and when I noticed it was fur, I assumed it was fake fur, but did not ask, so it’s my fault. I was very surprised when they ended up using that one shot out of hundreds for the centerpiece of the Tod’s ads.
“I know it’s not a great excuse, but I hope you and your members understand.”
(Kate Winslet recently found herself in a similar situation, when she appeared in Vanity Fair posing on a fur rug she thought was faux. The magazine later apologized.)
Paltrow – who works out three hours a day and used to adhere to a strict macrobiotic diet – told Mathews that she thinks people should focus on vegetarianism more than fur.
The actress says she and her husband Chris Martin, plus kids Apple and Moses, mostly skip meat.
“We know it’s the best diet for us and our kids, and of course, for animals and the environment,” Paltrow said.

Don’t shoot me, but I kind of like it! (Although I’m not feeling the shoes!)

In her latest Goop newsletter, Gwyneth Paltrow opens up about her father’s battle with throat cancer and her own health issues.
She says she has found “three doctors” — one in London, one in New York and one in Los Angeles — who “have helped me tremendously” with “some very sticky health problems,” including pneumonia, anemia, stress.
Their advice?
“Sleep eight hours for two weeks, then start eliminating ‘white’ foods,” Paltrow quotes NYC-based cardiologist Dr. Alejandro Junger. “After two weeks of sleeping and eating better, you’ll have the energy to exercise. Begin as you like.
“If you are totally out of shape,” Dr. Junger advises, “start by walking 15 minutes a day and add a minute every day for the first month.
“At the end of a month, you’ll be up to 45 minutes a day, which should make you ready for whatever more strenuous form of exercise you want to try,” Dr. Junger says. “Experiment with them all to see what works best for you and stick with it.”
In May, Paltrow’s chef pal Mario Batali told Us the actress works out “three hours a day – which is one of the keys to success.
“If we all did that, we’d all look like Gwyneth Paltrow,” he said. “Or at least closer.”

Gwyneth Paltrow is helping Madonna get through her divorce from Guy Ritchie. “You know, she’s a dear friend, and I’m supporting her in all [the] ways that I can,” Paltrow, 36, told Usmagazine.com at the Two Lovers Premiere in London Monday. “I’m just here for her,” Paltrow added. “I’m just here on the other end of the phone, really.” Paltrow says she’s been in constant contact with her pal. “I speak to her a lot,” she said.
Madonna, 50, and Ritchie, 40, announced their split after seven years of marriage on Oct. 15. The Material Girl has been traveling the world on her Sticky & Sweet tour, while Ritchie has been working on his flick, Sherlock Holmes near London.
Over the weekend, British papers reported the couple had struck a deal over their finances (they’re worth a reported $525 million) and how to split their four properties. They do not have a prenuptial agreement. The Mail also claims they’ve agreed to a custody agreement of their children, Rocco, 8, and David Banda, 3, who was adopted in Malawi in 2006. Madonna also has a daughter, Lourdes, 12, from a previous relationship with fitness instructor Carlos Leon. But Liz Rosenberg, Madonna’s rep, tells the Associated Press: “I will not be commenting on the various reports regarding the divorce or of the settlement which has not been finalized.”
