When pop star Gwen Stefani arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles earlier today, she definitely looked ready to pop. But according to E! News exclusive sources on the scene, it was simply a routine checkup.

“She went there this morning for around 30 minutes and then returned home,” says our eyewitness. “She’s back home now.”

But even with the baby’s birth imminent, Stefani was stylishly dressed, wearing a black-wrap cardigan, sunglasses and a long patterned skirt.

And good taste isn’t the only constant in Gwen’s birthing regimen: She gave birth to her and Gavin Rossdale’s first child, Kingston, at Cedars-Sinai on May 30, 2006.

Gwen Stefani will join top shoe designers like Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, and Christian Louboutin to create ruby slippers for the upcoming 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz.

The shoe style gurus will display their designs at the Saks Fifth Avenue department store in New York during the city’s Fashion Week in September.

The collection will then tour the country before the shoes are auctioned off to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation next year.

The magical ruby slippers transported Dorothy back home from Oz in the family film epic, which will celebrate its 70th birthday next year.

Gwen Stefani has vowed to give up her obsession with her weight – because she is fed up with worrying about her body.

The pregnant singer has long been concerned with what others think of her physical image, but insists she is now learning to let go of her fitness fixation.

She says, “I’ve spent a lot of time wasted on it, thinking about it. Nowadays, I just try to realize how stupid it is, because nobody cares – except me!”

The former Bush frontman and his pregnant wife Stefani are constantly hounded by paparazzi eager to get snaps of the star couple with their young son Kingston.

And while he can’t stand having his picture taken, he admits his mom loves seeing him in the newspapers and magazines.

He says, “My mom loves seeing me in the magazines! I try to explain to her not to buy into it because if you do, you feed it (the media frenzy), but when I see them, I’m so vain I just get annoyed about how I look!”

Pregnant singer Gwen Stefani is under immense media pressure to lose her baby weight as soon as possible after giving birth, according to husband Gavin Rossdale.

The No Doubt star, who is due to give birth to her second child this summer, is feeling the strain of having to shed the pounds gained during her pregnancy and return to her slim pre-baby figure.

And rocker Rossdale sympathizes with his wife’s struggle to slim down.

Rossdale says, “Yeah, she does (feel under pressure). I mean, she’s just so dedicated and she’s just amazing with that stuff (weight loss). It’s very hard because everyone’s so judged the whole time.”

The couple are already parents to a two-year-old son, Kingston.
