One more celebrity sounds off on “Greysgate.” This time it’s Neil Patrick Harris.

Neil Patrick Harris is “disappointed” Isaiah Washington’s derogatory comments towards gay co-star TR Knight keep making headlines. Harris announced publicly he was gay in November, after Internet reports speculated on his sexuality.

He tells TVGuide.com, “TR (Knight) has proven himself to be an incredibly classy, dignified guy. I’m impressed that Katherine Heigl said what she said. I was shocked that it all reared its ugly head again.”

Washington shocked cast members on Monday in the Golden Globes press room when he denied he had called Knight a “faggot” during a spat on the set in October.

Harris refused to comment on what form Washington’s “punishment” should take adding, “It’s impossible for me to make any kind of comment about that because I wasn’t there when it happened. It’s just disappointing that it’s cyclical.”

Washington issued a statement on Thursday, apologizing for his behavior, and admitted he needed professional help to deal with his issues.

One more celebrity sounds off on “Greysgate.” This time it’s John Mayer.

John Mayer has come up with a way to end the controversy surrounding Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington’s use of a gay slur against a co-star - make his character gay. Washington stunned cast mates in the Golden Globes press room on Monday when he denied calling co-star T.R. Knight a “faggot.”

Mayer writes on his blog, “What better way for an actor to get to the roots of his discrimination than by portraying the very subject of his own ire for the remainder of his contract?”

The singer even went as far as outlining two scenes; one paints Washington’s character as the webmaster of the fan site for the glam rock band who also bakes tea cookies. The other suggests that a caged tiger be on set at all times to keep Washington in line.

Washington issued a statement yesterday, apologizing for his behavior and admitting that he needed professional help to deal with the issue.

Isaiah Washington Apologizes for Gay Slur

greys_isa.jpg

Under fire by his bosses at ABC and gay leaders, Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington apologized Thursday for what he called his “unacceptable in any context” comments about gay costar T.R. Knight on Golden Globes night.

“I can neither defend nor explain my behavior,” Washington said in a statement. “I can also no longer deny to myself that there are issues I obviously need to examine within my own soul, and I’ve asked for help.”

Apologizing to “T.R., my colleagues, the fans of the show and especially the lesbian and gay community,” Washington said he “marred what should have been a perfect night” for Grey’s Anatomy and hurt both Knight and “everyone who has struggled for the respect so many of us take for granted.

“T.R.’s courage throughout this entire episode speaks to his tremendous character,” Washington said. “I hold his talent, and T.R. as a person, in high esteem. I know a mere apology will not end this, and I intend to let my future actions prove my sincerity.”

Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke on the hit ABC show, denied in the pressroom at the Golden Globes on Monday that he ever used a gay slur in reference to Knight. “No, I did not call T.R. a faggot,” said Washington. “Never happened, never happened.”

But during an appearance Wednesday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Knight said that Washington did use the word during an on-set argument with costar Patrick Dempsey in October.

“He referred to me as a faggot,” he told DeGeneres. “Everyone heard it.”

UPDATE: Do you think Isaiah should be fired?? If so…there happens to be an online petition calling for him to be fired.  Go here to sign the petition.

ABC to Dr. Burke: BEND OVER!

0401grays1.jpg

ABC has gotten around to responding to Isaiah Washington’s use of a gay slur at the Golden Globes, and, no, they’re not at all happy about it.

The ABC statement, according to TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello, says, in part, “We are greatly dismayed that Mr. Washington chose to use such inappropriate language at the Golden Globes, language that he himself deemed ‘unfortunate’ in his public apology issued at the time of the original incident. We have a long standing policy to create and maintain respectful workplaces for all our employees, and his actions are being addressed.”

Washington said he had “never” called gay castmate T.R. Knight “a faggot” after Monday’s Golden Globes. Knight told Ellen DeGeneres that he had in fact heard Washington use the term during a scuffle with Patrick Dempsey on the set of “Grey’s Anatomy.”

It is unclear when the network will make a decision on Washington’s future on the show.

Honestly, I couldn’t care LESS if Isaiah get’s the boot.  His character on GA drives me NUTS.  I think he totally overacts most of the time.  He’s annoying, and I think ABC should kill his character off, then use his body for science.  But that’s just my opinion.

More Grey’s Anatomy Drama

38512_heiglhqcb2_122_335lo.jpg

In the Globes press room on Monday, Washington tried to set the record straight in regards to reports in October of an on-set incident that resulted from the alleged use of a homophobic slur toward co-star T.R. Knight.

After a reporter questioned the validity of the on-set incident, Washington denied his involvement saying, “No, I did not call T.R. a faggot. Never happened, never happened.”

In response to Washington’s use of the slur when addressing the situation last night, Heigl spoke out.

“I’m going to be really honest right now, he needs to just not speak in public. Period. I’m sorry, that did not need to be said, I’m not okay with it,” Katherine told Shaun.

When asked if she thought it was just an off-the-cuff remark, Heigl added, “I have no idea what it was, I just find it hurtful…I just feel like this is something that should be very much in house we need to deal with and it’s among us and the cast and crew and among Shonda [Rimes, show creator] and the producers.”

Heigl said that she hoped they work the situation out, making her loyalty to Knight, who plays Dr. George O’Malley on the hit show, clear.

“I don’t think [Washington] means it the way he comes off…But, T.R. is my best friend. I will throw down for that kid. I will beat you up. I will use every ounce of energy I have to take you down if you hurt his feelings,” she said.

When asked if she thought Knight was hurt by Washington’s comments she added, “I don’t see how you could not be under those circumstances. Drawing attention to it and saying the word again is just unnecessary.”

After making his comments in the press room, Washington came straight to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush and Nancy O’Dell to explain.

“There is no way I could do anything so vile, and so horrible, not only to a castmate, but to a fellow human being,” he insisted.

When asked what spurred his comments on the October incident Washington told Bush, “It’s the truth. It did not happen. I was going to hire some other great shiny publicist, but you know what, God laid it on my heart to say it because it was so close. The reports were all wrong. It did not happen. I’m very disappointed that the New York Post actually wrote legitimately about something that was put in a tabloid about some angry person to get some validity to this, and then it just rippled.”

Washington also said that he and co-star Patrick Dempsey have moved beyond the October incident.

“I kiss Patrick Dempsey. We sing ‘Ebony and Ivory’ everyday since the so-called incident and it hasn’t come up. We purposely sing ‘Ebony and Ivory’ every night since October 9 and nobody has written about it,” he added.

I need Grey’s Anatomy to come back!!!

I’m DYING without any good tv!! Okay, that totally made me sound like I have no life.  I guess I kinda don’t.

At the end of the day - after working, making dinner, bathing the boys, brushing their teeth and putting them to bed (which is quite an event)…I feel like all I want to do is watch tv.  Is that so wrong!? Is that so horrible!?

Give me some freakin tv!  And not just any tv will do…I’m a tv snob. I actually need DECENT tv to entertain me.  Which is why I need Grey’s Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, LOST, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, Survivor, The Soprano’s, The Duel, Men in Trees, ER, and Studio 60 (to name a few).

Don’t try and give me crap like ”Dirt”.  That show sucked balls. I need some good ol’ entertainment.  I need some love triangles…some Exile Island…some steamy McDreamy’s.

Look what we’ve got waiting for us on the next episode of Grey’s Anatomy….coming next Thursday!!
