For nearly a decade, as Scully in the ‘X-Files,’ she was one of TV’s hottest commodities. Now, Gillian Anderson has remade herself in a series of demanding stage roles and smart TV dramas, such as the upcoming adaptation of Great Expectations.

In a new interview with OUT Magazine, Gillian reveals a past relationship with another woman!

On her high school relationships, including one with a woman:

“I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school, and then I was in a relationship with a punk rock drug addict…Yeah, yeah, well it’s… You know, I’m old enough that I can talk about that. And then I was in a relationship with somebody who was way, way older than me. Everything that that kind of anarchistic attitude brings—the inappropriate behavior it leads to—was how I chose to be in the world at that time, which was, you know, not what people did.”

 On her gayness:

“If I had thought I was 100% gay, would it have been a different experience for me? Would it have been a bigger deal if shame had been attached to it and all those things that become huge life-altering issues for youngsters in that situation? It’s possible that my attitude around it came, on some level, from knowing that I still liked boys.”

On the recent passing of her brother (who died at 30 from a brain  tumor):

“He left me with a vigilance for the truth in my life and a conscious, active shedding of everything that feels contrary to me. There was an extraordinary period of time where we all got to be together for the last couple of weeks, and it had a sustained and profound effect on my life.”

Pregnant Gillian Anderson gave the audience quite a scare Wednesday night, when she lost her balance and fell to the floor at the London premiere of How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.

As director Robert Weide introduced the movie – which also stars Kirsten Dunst and Megan Fox – he joked that Anderson going into labor that night would be great publicity.

Anderson, 40, then went on stage, in a floor-grazing Alice Temperley dress, and threw a fake punch at Weide. But she lost her balance and ended up falling to the ground, drawing gasps from the crowd at the Empire Leicester Square.

Weide reassured the audience that the 40-year-old actress – who is expecting her third child – was fine. “Is there a lawyer in the house?” he quipped.

After Anderson was back on her feet, the director introduced the movie’s leading man, Simon Pegg – who faked a tumble as he joined them on the stage.

Gillian Anderson is blaming the popularity of new Batman movie The Dark Knight for the X-Files film’s low box office grossings.

The X-Files: I Want To Believe, starring Anderson and David Duchovny, earned a disappointing $10.2 million in its opening weekend in the U.S., while The Dark Knight took an impressive $75 million in the same weekend.

And Anderson is convinced that her movie – based on the hit TV show – is suffering because so many people are flocking to see the Batman sequel.

She says, “It’s (The X-Files film) had a bit of a rough time in the States. It’s opening against one of the highest grossing movies, Batman. People in the States are so used to lots of CGI, action and sex and we don’t really off a lot of that in this film.”

Gillian Anderson struggled to reprise her role for the new The X-Files movie – because she couldn’t remember how to play her famous character Agent Dana Scully.

The star returned to her part as F.B.I. Special Agent Scully for new movie The X-Files: I Want To Believe, six years after the sci-fi series ended in 2002.

And she claims it was only when she reteamed with co-star David Duchovny that she was able to revive the character.

She recalls, “I thought I’d fall back into it naturally, but at first it felt odd. I was having a hard time finding Scully’s voice.

“It wasn’t until day three or four, when I had scenes with David and we were working together again, that I felt comfortable. That’s when I felt I’d come home.”

Pregnant actress Gillian Anderson is expecting a baby boy.

The X-Files star, 39, and her longterm boyfriend Mark Griffiths announced their baby news last month.

And Anderson confirmed the sex of the new arrival to U.S. talk show host David Letterman on Monday night.

She is scheduled to give birth in October.

The pair already has a 21-month-old son, Oscar, in addition to Anderson’s teenage daughter Piper, 13, from her first marriage to Clyde Klotz.

No working out for Gillian Anderson — who is expecting a child in October.

“The only thing I do when I’m pregnant is eat and sit on my butt!” the X-Files: I Want to Believe star, 39, told Usmagazine.com at the movie’s Hollywood premiere Wednesday. (The flick opens Friday.)

Pregnancy cravings?

“I’m not really craving anything, but there’s the lazy part of me that thinks, ‘What’s the point in working out until I have the baby?’ Then we’ll actually do something!” she said.

“I know that’s not necessarily the right way to look at it,” she added, “but that’s just me.”

Anderson told Us besides having “a couple of films coming out later in the year that I’ll do some promotion for,” she plans on focusing her life on mommyhood.

She and beau Mark Griffiths are already parents to son Oscar, 20 months.

She also has a daughter Piper, 13, from a prior marriage.
