Fergie is desperate to have children and is already planning to turn to pop star pal Gwen Stefani for baby advice.

The singer wants to work on starting a family as soon as she weds actor fiance Josh Duhamel, but admits she knows nothing about babies - so she’ll consult as many starry moms as possible for tips.

Fergie says, “I’d like to ask Gwen (Stefani), because she’s really done a great job.”
But she insists there’s no way she could perform while she’s expecting - like Stefani and new moms such as Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera did.

She adds, “I don’t want to be touring… I know I don’t want that. Because I get way too physical onstage. I don’t think I could hold myself back. And I would just be scared to hurt the baby. I’d take time off to read books about having babies, because I have no idea about that. I’ve never really changed a diaper.”

For Mother’s Day this year, Fergie has something special planned for her mom, Terri.

She’s retiring her from her work life and hopes to give her mother a life of luxury.

She says, “I’m actually retiring my mom this year, so next year she doesn’t have to go to work. I wanted to give back because she took me to all those auditions for all of those years. It’s the least I could do.”

Fergie and fiance Josh Duhamel are getting married, but not starting a family just yet.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Fergie is “not preggers,” her rep tells Usmagazine.com.

“It’s not true,” adds Duhamel’s rep. “She is not pregnant.”

The “Glamourous” singer, 32, and the Las Vegas actor, 35, got engaged in December after three years of dating.

The couple have been inseparable for some time. “We’re practically married,” Fergie has said.

Longtime lovers Fergie and Josh Duhamel resurfaced Tuesday evening for a little wining and dining at Santa Monica’s Hana Sushi, where the “Glamorous” songstress was captured sporting what appears to be a tiny baby bump. So is there a little Dutchess or Duke on the way?

Also unknown — what Fergie dined on. No one at the restaurant was able to confirm whether or not the starlet ate sushi — a big pregnancy no-no.

This isn’t the first time the 32-year-old has sparked baby talk. Rumors swirled at last month’s Grammys that the Black Eyed Peas star, who got engaged to Josh in December, was with-child after those with keen eyes saw what looked like an expanding belly. However, the reports were squashed by Fergie’s rep and mother.

“Nope, not at all,” Fergie’s mother, Terri Ferguson, said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show. “Did you see her at the Grammys?…Skinny, skinny, skinny.”

Calls to Fergie’s rep have yet to be returned.

Black Eyed Peas star Fergie isn’t content with conquering the pop world - she wants to crack Hollywood and be a full-time mother too.

The singer got engaged to actor Josh Duhamel in December, and the pair plan to settle down, get married and have kids. But Fergie, 32, insists she is still as ambitious as ever.

She says, “I want a marriage and family on the one hand, and on the other hand, I want to do another solo album, one where I can have time to sit in the studio and really nurture it. “Of course I want to do another Black Eyed Peas album and more touring. I would love to do some movies. I would love to do a drama, a period piece.”
