Evangeline Lilly, who stars in this weekend’s robot-boxing movie Real Steel, stopped by the Jay Leno show last night. The actress opened up about how after ‘Lost’ ended, her intention was to take some time off…. but then Peter Jackson came calling.
“Pete Jackson called and said, ‘Would you like to be an elf on The Hobbit?’ and I said ‘Yes, I really do. I really do want to do that,” Lilly recalled.
The new mom (early in the interview Lilly explains that she pulled a Claire, skipping the hospital entirely and having a natural home birth for her son) talked a little bit about her role as the new Woodland Elf Tauriel and breastfeeding her four-month old in full elvish attire. According to the star, her baby “freaked out” when he looked up an saw a mysterious, pointy-eared woman who resembled her. Lilly said that her partner (boyfriend Norman Kali) later joked, “You know his internal dialogue is, ‘Mom you wouldn’t believe what happened to me today.”
She looks absolutely incredibly at the ‘Real Steel’ premiere! Look at her body! Not bad! Below check out her interview with Jay Leno.

Evangeline Lilly has given birth to a baby boy! It’s the “Lost” actresses first child. The baby boy’s father is her boyfriend, Norman Kali, who worked with Lilly on “Lost” as a production assistant.
News of Lilly’s pregnancy only emerged a month ago when the actress was spotted in Hawaii with a big baby bump.

We haven’t seen Evangeline Lilly since May of 2010 when she attended the Cannes Film Festival, and now we know why! She’s pregnant! Very pregnant!
Lost alum Evangeline Lilly was spotted with a visible baby bump in Hawaii on Thursday; the actress’ rep had no comment on the pregnancy. It will be the first child for Lilly, 31, and boyfriend Norman Kali, who worked as a production assistant on the ABC hit.
Lilly recently spoke about how she was happy to be moving on from the show. “People are excited to try on the next chapter of their lives,” she told New York Magazine. “This show is all-encompassing. We have had very little experience outside of the show during the last six years because it’s just so demanding; it requires so much of us. So, it’s exciting to have your freedom back, essentially.”
And the Golden Globe nominee, who dated costar Dominic Monaghan from 2004-2009, said that said she wanted to take a hiatus from show business for a while.
“I’m definitely planning on taking a break for a little while,” she said. “I consider acting a day job — it’s not my dream; it’s not my be-all, end-all.”

Evangeline Lilly, who plays Kate on Lost, has been making the talk show circuit this week. On Monday’s Late Show with David Letterman, she said the upcoming end of Lost “represents the show nicely.”
Letterman followed her reply by saying the only logical way to end the series is to have all of the characters wake up and realize they were part of some dream.
“You’re hoping for the dream out?” she replied. “You’re the least imaginative person in North America.”
Lilly said she doesn’t want to be a movie star. She plans to try to write her own screenplays, children’s stories and novels. “My dream in life would be to be a writer and a mother and have a simpler life. So that’s what I’ll pursue.”

Evangeline Lilly falls in love with strangers.
The ‘Lost’ actress – who is been dating her co-star Dominic Monaghan since they met on set in 2004 – finds it so easy to love others she can fall for people she doesn’t know, as well as believing you can be romantically involved with two people at once.
She explained: “I have such a huge capacity for love. I have always had a really hard time not loving people. I can meet a complete stranger and feel love for them. So for me, I can imagine loving two different people – but I don’t think I have the capacity for that because it would require so much of me. Everyone else seems to believe it is possible, so who am I to question this? If everyone says you can love two people, then you can love two people.”
