Eva Longoria Parker, pictured here with hubby Tony Parker, takes time out from her hosting duties to pose on the red carpet for the 2008 ALMA Awards on Sunday night. Eva is not just the host of the awards, but also the executive producer of the event which celebrates the outstanding artistic achievements of Latinos in motion pictures, TV and music.
In addition to Eva, stars turning out for the event at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA, included Paula Abdul, Ryan Seacrest, Ashley Tisdale, Ana Ortiz, Roselyn Sanchez and Disney Channel’s Selena Gomez.
The 2008 NCLR ALMA Awards air on ABC on September 12 at 8 p.m.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are desperately trying for their first baby – and have promised to break their happy news to Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry first.
Cherry reveals the couple – which wed last year – is locked away in the bedroom in a bid to start a family. And the TV boss has made sure he gets the gossip before friends, castmates and even family members.
He says, “Eva is desperately trying to get pregnant with Tony Parker. After they phone their doctor, she promised me I will be the next call.”
But the actress is keen to point out she’s not pregnant yet: “I’m not pregnant. I agree with Jennifer Lopez. Somebody asked her, ‘Why did you hide your pregnancy for so long?’ She said, ‘I didn’t hide it from the people who needed to know.’”
